then the storms will be moving into the philadelphia area, but one more strong thunderstorm we're watching this, one is mostly in lancaster county, but it is moves to the east around 35 miles an hour, so reading you can expect it by 4:14, so the storms are going to stay in the forecast the rest of this evening. right now we're just seeing the line approaching the lehigh valley, but the pink shaded area, that pretty much includes almost the entire area, that's a severe thunderstorm watch. that's going to be until 8:00 tonight and we could see the potential for strong storms with winds near 60 miles an hour, lightning, heavy rain, potentially some hail and the winds are also damaging winds. take a look at the movement of the storms, moving from west to east. we'll see them approaching the philadelphia area soon here. a closer look at the timing for that this evening. let's move over to meteorologist brittney shipp. brittney? >> that's right, we're concerned about the next four to five

hours. we're expecting the thunderstorms through 8:00, 9:00. let's get you straight to the map. we are expecting a stormy commute and just like you mentioned, it's moving in from the northwest, tracking from the southeast. i'll take you hour by hour, show you exactly where the threat is going to be next. let's take you into the 5:00 hour, that's when it's mainly right over philadelphia. you'll also notice our temperatures are going to drop down substantially, as well. heaviest pockets of rain will be close tore trenton by 5:00 p.m., philadelphia, down into wilmington. if you take 95 home, be careful around 5:00. by 6:00 you'll notice a line of these thunderstorms there start to extend into southern parts of south jersey, just to the north of atlantic city moving into vineland and also the northern parts of delaware. by 7:00, mainly in south jersey, the central parts of delaware will be included by 7:00 p.m. and then as we progress the model closer to 8:00 p.m., our main concern is going to be right along the shoreline, stretching down into cape may, also sussex county will be a

now to decision 2016 and what could be a crucial weekend for vice president joe biden. nbc news says he'll meet with family at his home in delaware to talk about a possible run for the democratic presidential bid, which would shake up the white house race. tim furlong has more on how the national spotlight has turned to greenville. >> my guess is yes. >> reporter: lots of people in delaware and around the nation waiting not so patiently to find out if joe biden is running for president. >> not my decision to make, but i think he should definitely make his decision and i hope he makes it to run for president. >> reporter: he'll talk it over with his family this weekend. the new yorker reports his advisers have met to talk about filing deadlines and other things one would need to know if they are running for president. >> things can change in a heartbeat. >> the draft biden super pac also put out this commercial

this week, it is joe biden speaking about his family tragedies and the value of family. >> incredible bond i have with my children. >> the video ends with the words "joe, run," but the commercial has been scrapped by the vice president. josh alcorn, one of joe biden's closest advisers and close friend of the family, it would be hard to believe he didn't run the video by the bidens before it went public, just to see how the public responds. at least here in delaware they've gotten a pro joe response. >> i think he's very knowledgeable and would do an excellent job for the people. and that's what we need. >> the vice president has, obviously, been grieving the loss of his son beau. if the answer is yes, well he better commit soon. he's got a long way to go if he wants to catch up with hillary clinton in terms of support and more importantly, in terms of money and fundraising. in greenville, delaware, tim furlong, nbc 10 news.

>> here's a look at the democratic field biden would face if he runs. these five candidates will take the stage in their first debate next tuesday. ted cruz campaigned in new hampshire, reporting to raise $12 million in the third quarter this year, putting his total at more than $26 million since he announced his presidential run. that puts him behind only ben carson among gop candidates. speaking of carson, he spent the day promoting his new book. carson has made headlines for recently suggesting the holocaust would have been, quote, greatly diminished if german jews would have been armed with guns. to a developing story now, texas southern university is on lockdown after one person was killed, another wounded in a shooting on the edge of campus. that shooting happened around 11:30 central time at a student housing complex. two suspects are now in custody and a third is on the loose. texas southern tweeted out that

classes were cancelled for the rest of the day. to arizona now, police say this morning's shooting at northern arizona university in flagstaff began as a fight between two groups. one student was killed, three others were hurt. there's no word on their conditions right now, but police freshman. the shooting happened in a parking lot outside a dorm that's home to many sororities and fraternities. the school's president spoke this morning. >> this is not going to be a normal day at nau. our hearts are heavy. >> the university calls the shooting an isolated and unprecedented incident. classes are being held as planned today. president obama is in oregon right now to meet with the families of last week's shooting there. >> he is also being met by some gun rights activists. the president arrived in the town of roseburg in the past two hours. he called for new gun restrictions following the shooting last week. some locals are angry for the president in doing so and they

are protesting his visit. you'll remember nine people were killed, nine others injured in the shooting at umpqua community college last thursday. the gunman was shot by police before taking his own life. a new clue that could help find the men involved in a home invasion. keith jones is joining us from our digital operations center with a closer look at the video and the case. keith? >> jim, police hope you'll recognize three guys who broke into a home in the middle of the night, then terrorized the family. take a look, investigators have released this surveillance video. you can see the two guys walking. police say two were involved in that home invasion last week. surveillance video also captures one of the men on the home's front porch before the invasion, then three men leaving after it was over. this was the scene last week, the suspects made out with a tv, playstation, and $200. it all started when a grandfather woke up to a gun pointed in his face. masked men broke into the apartment and tied him up while

his wife and grandson were hiding in another room. we talked to the victims right after it happened. >> i was scared. me and my grandson were scared. live in a society right now where things are just happening, things like this are happening every day. it can happen anywhere. >> fortunately, no one was injured in the invasion. the victims say they don't know the robbers or why they were even targeted. police hope this video brings them closer to finding the suspects and, of course, if you recognize these men, call police. live in the digital operations center, keith jones, nbc 10 news. new information now in a center city, philadelphia, building collapse trial. prosecutors are wrapping up their case and the defense is expected to take over next week. griffin campbell faces third-degree murder charges in the collapse. on the stand today an expert testified a minor disturbance could have caused the collapse because of dangerous conditions. it was back in june of 2013 when a four-story brick wall fell on

to a salvation army thrift store. six people killed, more than a dozen hurt. griffin campbell's construction company was in charge of the demolition. he's expected to testify when the defense takes over next week. shaun benshop pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and causing a catastrophic. he testified for the prosecution yesterday, facing up to 20 years in prison when he's sentenced next month. take a look at the damage from a house fire seen from sky force 10 this afternoon. right here, the burned out row home, you can see fire crews tackling the last of the blaze on what appears to be the top floor of the unit. there are no reports of injuries. more rain in the forecast for south carolina this weekend. only adding to the angst for people trying to recover from devastating floods there. today residents in georgetown, south carolina, put out the sand bags to get ready for the next round of rain. officials put out orange cones

and caution tape near already flooded out areas. governor nikki haley said the flooding in georgetown will begin in the next 12 hours, also urged residents to leave their homes for safety reasons. a federal judge has ruled against new jersey senator robert menendez's attempts to have corruption charges thrown out. menendez plans to appeal that ruling. last month a judge threw out four of the 22 counts against menendez. the long-time democratic congressman is charged with accepting campaign donations and gifts in exchange for helping his business interests. in the lehigh valley, newly released records show allentown planned to give a no bid contract to a company who contributed to the senate's campaign. the morning call newspaper obtained e-mails through an opens record request, showed the contract was going to go to a company backed by a new york developer who gave campaign

mon money. yesterday allentown city council passed a measure that bars contributors to receiving no bid contracts. a week after that, fbi agents raided reading city hall, as well as the home of mayor vonn spencer. the fbi is looking into how the mayor awarded city contracts, as well. neither mayor has been charged with a crime. now to the political drama playing out in washington, d.c. figure out who will be the next speaker. pressure was on congressman paul ryan to run earlier today, but a spokesperson says he's not running. the process of finding a successor to john boehner was thrown into chaos yesterday. candidacy yesterday, telling colleagues he's not the right person for the job. john boehner announced last month that he'd step down as house speaker at the end of october. he had endorsed mccarthy.

baylor university is the latest school to rescind an honorary degree given to bill cosby. the university's board of regents voted to rescind an honorary degree awarded to cosby back in 2003. a spokesperson for the school says acts of sexual violence contradict baylor's values. the move comes days after another university revoked a degree it granted cosby in 2004. cosby has faced sexual assault accusations but has not been charged with a crime and his attorney denies the claims. stay with nbc 10 tonight for a special edition of "dateline." nearly 30 women made accusations against cosby will speak out. you'll see kate snow's exclusive group interview tonight at 9:00 here on nbc 10. vai sikahema spoke with kate today ahead of tonight's special at 5:00. you'll hear about the jane does who were ready to testify against cosby but never got the chance. this afternoon we're hearing from a new jersey lawmaker who's

asking questions about a growing controversy in the world of fantasy sports. the controversy involves two websites, draft kings and fan duel. an investigation is under way into whether a draft kings employee accessed valuable company data before winning $350,000 in a fan duel contest. the incident is being compared to insider trading. new jersey congressman frank pallone has asked the federal trade commission to look into setting regulations for online gaming. >> because it does say in the carve out for fantasy sports, if you will, that the ftc would have jurisdiction and, of course, they can always -- they have sort of general statutes to say whether it's fraud or deceit that they can act, so that's one option. >> new jersey senator robert menendez has also asked the ftc to look into the website. meanwhile, several former customers have filed class action lawsuits against draft kings and fan duel.

the suit explained both companies have been misleading, and we should mention that nbc sports ventures and comcast ventures have invested in fan duel. comcast is the parent company of nbc 10. a new winner of the nobel peace prize was announced today. >> the nobel peace prize for 2015 is to be awarded to the tunisian national quartet. >> the quartet won for its contribution to building democracy after the jasmine revolution in 2011. it helped support tunisia when it was in danger of collapse. the group beat out some of the other favorites, including pope francis and angela merkel. clinical trials are under way for an ebola vaccine in sierra leone, part of a johnson & johnson study in an area where some of the most recent ebola cases have been reported. more than 11,000 people have died from the ebola virus in the last two years. nearly all in west africa. there is currently no vaccine or

cure for ebola. there may be hope for patients fighting cancer who want to have children. chemotherapy stops women's production of eggs, but now doctors are able to overcome that problem by freezing the eggs in tissue and inserting it again when patients are cured. over the past ten years a danish hospital has followed a group of women receiving this treatment. so far ten of 31 women have succeeded in becoming pregnant after their disease. delaware county is holding its first ever recruitment drive to fill a big need for volunteer firefighters and ems personnel. >> katy zachary explains why the need is so great. >> it's national fire prevention week and fire houses across our area are raising awareness for that, as well as the need for more volunteers. one local fire chief said it best, there is a, quote, urgent need for more volunteers. in the last few decades the number of volunteer firefighters in pennsylvania has dropped from hundreds of thousands to just

tens of thousands. now in the past, departments like norristown have taken a billboard approach to recruiting, but today and tomorrow in delaware county they are doing things differently. fire houses are opening up their doors so people who are interested in volunteering can come by, meet volunteer firefighters firsthand, see the trucks and equipment, and ask any questions they might have. the fire chief of newtown square is spearheading this recruitment effort for all of delaware county. in addition to looking for more volunteer firefighters, they are also looking for ems personnel. katy zachary, nbc 10 news. rain may have stopped the boat show in atlantic city last weekend, but you'll get a second chance to see it starting today. the atlantic city in water boat show is extending its run this weekend. today people saw different types of boats, including sport cruisers, express yachts, catamarans to name a few. i would take them all. the event runs tomorrow from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

$10 for adults and free for children. now your nbc 10 first alert weather with meteorologist brittney shipp. >> good evening, we are tracking severe weather moving through parts of our area, so we'll start you off right now with where the rain is and the thunderstorms pushing into parts of the lehigh valley, also into the poconos, lancaster county starting to move into chester county, so heads up for any of your loved ones driving home, you might want to call them and give them a heads up this is all moving to the southeast and we're seeing heavy rainfall. so take a look at this precipitation rate, six inches per hour. if this moves quickly, it could leave behind an inch of rain. the other thing we're dealing with, thunderstorms, lightning, and the possibility of damaging winds. so with any of these thunderstorms, that's a possibility and right now we're taking a look at where the worst of it is and that's going to be closer to lancaster county. the good thing is, the severe thunderstorm warning has already

concerned with parts of lancaster, berks county, and chester county in effect until 4:45. here's a closer look, we're going to track one of the cells for you. most of this is moving quickly at about 45 miles per hour to the east, so if you live closer to king of prussia by 4:49 you could see this activity in your neighborhood. same thing 4:49 for haverford and all is transitioning to the southeast. again, northwest to southeast, so closer to limerick and closer to 4:45 for haverford. our entire area is under a severe thunderstorm watch and this is going to extend until 8:00 p.m. this is going to be a stormy commute over the next couple of hours depending where you are. with these watches, what that basically means is heavy rain, wind gusts up to 60 miles per hour, hail is going to be a possibility, and, of course, lightning is associated with that. again, you'll want to be careful and head inside. a closer look at our stormy

commute, breaking it down hour by hour, by 5:00 p.m. the concern will shift south and southeast, so by 5:00 p.m. our main concern is philadelphia, stretching out to trenton, wilmington is a concern by 6:00 p.m. as this continues to move quickly, moving at 45 miles per hour, a lot of these thunderstorms. it's going to start to be in parts of burlington county, also in dover. that's at 6:00. now we'll take you to 7:00. that's going to be vineland, more of a concern, same thing for atlantic city, stretching into dover and by 8:00, right along the shoreline, that's where we're going to see our main concern for severe thunderstorms. the good thing is, as most of the other parts of the area will be in the clear, we'll just see cooler conditions as the cold front starts to slide through the area, that's going to drop temperatures substantially for tonight, you'll definitely feel the difference as we head into tomorrow. your city planner shows as we go into the next couple of hours, we have a good chance of thunderstorms for philadelphia at 6:00 p.m., temperatures at

76, we drop down into the 60s by 9:00 p.m. again, this is about a four-hour threat we're dealing with and it's going to be isolated as the storms roll through the southeast. our eagles forecast shows 61 degrees, it is going to be cool through tailgating, closer to 59. as far as tonight's concerned, we are going to see thunderstorms clearing, but another few hours to deal with that line of thunderstorms that continues to track to the east and the southeast. temperatures will eventually get down to 54 for philadelphia and that's going to set us up for a cooler day tomorrow. temperatures will range between 63 and 66 degrees. your seven-day forecast shows that as we head into the weekend, cooler temperatures expected. we recover nicely as we head into next week. saved his life today. >> this man fills up his motorcycle, then watch as it bursts into flames, setting him on fire. how two witnesses risked their own lives to save him. this airline boarding pass bar code may reveal more than you know.

take a look at this video, a man actually caught fire at this gas station in georgia. surveillance video shows a man putting gas in his motorcycle when the bike and the gas pump suddenly caught fire there. two bystanders tackle him to smother the flames. investigators think the motorcycle was actually running while the man was filling the tank. no word on his condition this afternoon. well, so it's your ticket to fly. >> but your airline boarding pass could also put your personal information at risk. the bar code contains a lot of personal data, such as your name, phone number, and flight information. criminals could get that information using a free online reader. security experts say the worst thing you can do is leave your boarding pass in the airplane seat pocket.

umbrella in the car? i ask you. first alert meteorologist brittney shipp has more on the timing of where the storms are now. brittney? >> only for the next four hours or so. if you have late night plans, you'll be okay, but we have a serious weather situation closer to the lehigh valley, poconos, and moving into parts of lancaster county and also into chester county. let's start you out with the most severe weather. just to the north of allentown, strong thunderstorms moving through, the entire area virtually under a watch at least until 8:00 p.m. a closer look at where some of the heaviest rainfall is and again just starting to push into chester county. if you live in the southern part of chester county, you are definitely up next. some of the rainfall rates with these thunderstorms are pretty high. this is dumping a lot of rain in a short amount of time. we could be dealing with isolated flooding, but just an update from the last time i saw you, just in the northern part of chester county, also near lancaster county, we have a severe thunderstorm warning on a cell that's starting to move through until 5:00 p.m., another

one until 4:45, that's to the south of pottstown. if we track the cells, everything is moving to the east at 45 miles per hour. that's a quick moving thunderstorm, so you'll notice that if you're closer to east goshen by 4:48, you should see activity near you. king of prussia, closer to 5:00 p.m. if you know anyone traveling in these areas, maybe you can tell them to hold off and leave 30 minutes later, because these are quick moving storms, so once they move past the area, we have to worry about more popping up, but we definitely are dealing with a good severe line of thunderstorms moving through allentown. it's not going to push into philadelphia until another hour or so, but with the severe thunderstorm watch that includes the entire area, what we're concerned about is heavy rain, wind gusts closer to 60 miles per hour, hail being a possibility, and also lightning. coming up i'll go by hour by hour and show you exactly where this rain is heading. that's coming up in my full forecast. >> all right, brittney.

biden's advisers met with the democratic national committee to discuss the deadlines and procedure of a presidential run. in less than 24 hours, hundreds of thousands of people will descend upon the national mall in d.c. to mark the 20th anniversary of the million man march. this gathering was one of the largest civil rights rallies in history. today minister is leading the charge for the justice or else rally. nbc 10 is live in the digital operations center with more on how people are mobilizing for the big event. >> jacqueline, early tomorrow morning buses will be leaving from various locations across the region. today we spoke to participants who are only in elementary school during the first million man march about why it's important to be involved this time around. the kitchen serves up a hot plate of food with a high of social justice. the restaurant is just one of many sites where people will catch buses to head to

washington, d.c., saturday morning to mark the 20th anniversary of the million man march. >> i'm getting called literally every five minutes people saying, okay, can i get a ticket, can i get a ticket. >> reporter: this year women are invited to participate and will join thousands to support the theme "justice or else." >> this is not just a march, this is a gather to not ask for justice, but to demand the justice that every human being deserves. >> reporter: while the goal is to send messages to lawmakers and law enforcement, there's also a focus on personal responsibility. >> the killings that are going on, the police brutality, even in our own communities, we're destroying ourselves with drugs and alcohol and killing each other. >> reporter: october 10th is meant to be the catalyst to start a widespread organized movement. october 11th is when they say the real work begins. >> people need to take that energy that we have for some of these national topics and take them back home.

>> the event begins tomorrow with a sunrise prayer service. the official program begins at 10:00 a.m. coming up at 5:00, hear from someone who was there 20 years ago and why they say it's necessary to go back. we're live in the digital operations center, nbc 10 news. we have new video into nbc 10 of a man police say was a busy armed robber in old city, philadelphia. all these robberies happened in just 20 minutes. on october 3rd, police say the man pulled a gun and robbed four men on south fifth street and minutes later robbed another guy on the same street, then pulled a gun and robbed a couple at front and docks streets. the robber may be driving a black suv. man's in the hospital after he was stabbed with what police say appears to be a sword. nbc 10 was on the scene on ju juniper drive late last night. authorities haven't confirmed what role this person played in the incident, but investigators

tell us the victim was stabbed in the hand and taken to the hospital. he's expected to be okay. no word on why the man was stabbed. from our south jersey bureau, police are asking for the public's help to identify two suspects that tried to rob the beneficial bank on route 130. suspects went into the bank yesterday, passed a note to the teller saying they were armed and they demanded money. no weapon was shown and the suspects left the bank without getting any money. fortunately, no one was hurt. super heros took over window washing duties at an ohio children's hospital. take a look, the heros rappelled, waved, the handful of heros came down the towering windows much to the delight of the kids below. after landing, the heros met children in the atrium lobby and then visited patients in their rooms. what a treat for them. >> smiles all around. they look very authentic, those super heros. >> they were, indeed. that was batman.

the first alert radar shows rain is moving in for your friday night. you can see the line of showers moving into our area right now. once this moves out, we are in for a perfect fall weekend. and that means different things for different people. many people in our area will be making plans to take in the changing leaves. here's a live look in the pocono mountains. >> changes starting there. so where can you go to see the fall foliage? sheena parveen has more on the best spots to see the best fall colors this weekend. sheena? >> the good news is the rain is going to be clearing up in time for the weekend, so if you want to head out and see the colors,

because we know they don't last for long, the poconos, one good spot to head, northern pennsylvania, now near their peak in northern pennsylvania near the catskills, about 20% to 50% color in the higher elevations in the poconos, so that's one area you could go. also vermont, new hampshire, up towards maine, also good color. so the white, the greens, adirondacks, the peak is about 3,000 feet and near the peak are the foothills and the lower peaks. we will be seeing the colors continuing to change, but again you want to go out soon and take a look at the beautiful colors before they come to an end. we are certainly tracking the rain. we have strong storms heading towards philadelphia right now. brittney shipp will take a close look at that coming up. >> good weekend for apple picking, too. my mom always used to take us. >> bake some pie maybe. eagles fans, new orleans is ready for you. >> the saints know coming to philly isn't easy, so they will come prepared. next, the message they have for birds fans plastered on their bus.

expanded to include philadelphia that's moving east at about 45 miles per hour. this is a quick moving cell and this is going to stay in effect, this severe thunderstorm warning, at least until 5:30. severe thunderstorm warnings mean we could see wind gustings up to 60 miles per hour, hail a possibility, lightning a possibility. this is a live look at our center city skyline. you can see the clouds are darkening here. gorgeous skies and that's what we're waiting for, the thunderstorms to roll through center city. you want to be careful as you're heading home. we're going to see through 8:00 p.m. and getting another update that we have a tornado -- is it a warning, sheena? warning right now for parts of norr norristown. sheena is going to take control of the computer right now, so we're going to watch the cell. this is what we're looking for right here, this cell moving through parts of phoenixville, through parts of limerick.

this is going to stay in effect until 5:15 p.m. at least for another 30 minutes, this is something that we're going to watch. sheena is going to give me this information from the national weather service. this was just issued at 4:46, so we brought it you within seconds here, doppler radar indicating a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado, so this is a dangerous storm, it was located right over royalsburg and that's 14 miles north of westchester and, again, this is moving east at 45 miles per hour, so if you live in this vicinity at all, so king of prussia, anything outlined here in this tornado warning, what you need to do is take cover right now, move to a basement or interior room on the lowest level of a sturdy building, try to avoid all windows. this is a breaking weather situation. again, we want everyone to stay safe. if you live in this area highlighted in red, again i'm going to list it, norristown,

king of prussia, whitpain, be careful, take cover right now, maybe turn up the volume on your tv, we are tracking a very severe cell right now that's moving through parts of limerick, phoenixville tracking east at 45 miles per hour. so these are the times now for king of prussia, 4:53, 4:55 in norristown. going to be a concern for us. so literally three minutes ago the national weather service issued a tornado warning on the cell. this is the cell right here over limerick right now tracking east at 45 miles per hour. if you live in phoenixville, norristown, whitpain, definitely take cover in a sturdy building, avoid any windows and move to the closest substantial shelter that you have, protect yourself from flying debris.

so this cell, you can see it, we always look for a bow echo, looking for rotation, as well. sheena, are you ready to go? >> yeah. brittney is right. as you look at this cell, you see it near phoenixville, pottstown, that's where we look for the rotation, so this is one thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado, so here you see it now, the red shaded area, that is the tornado warned area, so everyone in this area and i'm going to take the radar off real quick, because i want you to see exactly where this area is. so the tornado warning does inclu include phoenixville, norristown, whitpain, conshohocken, so, again, this is a tornado warning. we are seeing very strong thunderstorm in this area. this is going to go until 5:15. the storm itself is containing very high winds, so regardless

of if we have a tornado on the ground, which we do not yet have reports on, we're still seeing damaging winds. again, right near phoenixville, limerick, pottstown, some of the strongest rotation in this area. again, this is one storm capable of producing a tornado, and there you see it moving mostly from west to east. again, the speed of the storm is about 45 miles per hour moving west to east, so all these areas approach i approaching conshohocken through the next 25 minutes or so. so i'm going to show you here we're going to zoom in so you can see the areas, pa turnpike, trooper, king of prussia, we'll track this storm for you. as we do so, you can see the areas under the warned section and the time that you can expect it to move in. so if you're in collegeville, it's moving in right now.

king of prussia, 4:45. bridgeport 4:59, norristown 4:59, whitpain township about 5:03. all these sections are in the warned area. again, if you are in these areas, you want to get to the lowest level of your home, you want to get into an interior hallway or closet, and you also want to make sure that you stay away from windows, because again, this is a tornado warning, so we're going to take this very seriously. it's mostly moving east around 45 miles an hour, so again, it is approaching all the areas i just showed you, and as we kind of look at these sections you can see it includes 479 near conshohocken, so all these sections here under the tornado warning. again, stay away from windows and this is what we're looking at through a little while here. again, a tornado warning in these areas, you want to get into a basement or the lowest level of your home, hallway, or interior closet, and if the

this call list, you definitely want to take cover now, move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. avoid windows. so i'm going to go ahead and adjust the radar right now so we can show you exactly where this is and it looks like probably the most dangerous spot right now looks to be phoenixville, east of phoenixville, near norristown, same thing, heads up to those folks, so again, you want to be very careful if you know anyone heading home from work that lives even near pottstown, phoenixville, give them a call right now, we're starting to see more activity move into that area. you want to be careful with this tornado warning. we are watching this cell, you can see it here on our screen and so these are all going to be the areas of concern for us as we go into at least the next 20 minutes, until 5:15, the tornado

warning is going to stay in effect. again, this cell is moving east at about 45 miles per hour. sheena? >> that's right, brittney. again, these areas that you see in this red shaded section, that's where we're seeing the tornado warnings. again, you see this icon, this swirly thing up in the top left hand corner of your screen, that's where we see some of the rotation, the storm, but as you see this hook shape, limerick, phoenixville, this is where we can expect not just the most rotation to be moving in, but also some of the highest winds in the storm. it's not just, you know, whether or not we have a tornado on the ground, because it is a tornado warning. this is radar indicated until we get told that we have reports of a tornado on the ground, we are assuming that the storm is strong enough to produce a tornado. if it does not, we are still looking at damaging winds. so if you're in this area, you want to get to the lowest level of your home, an interior hallway or closet, and you want to stay away from windows.

again, it is a tornado warning. again, all the areas shaded in red. i'll take the radar off for just a second. there you see it, this red section, that's the tornado warning, king of prussia until 5:15, 479, 76, we know this is a busy time of the evening, so this section of interstate right here i'm sure traffic is probably extremely slow at the moment. if you know anyone who could be in this area, i would say between norristown, conshohocken, driving, give them a call, tell them what's going on, all they are really seeing at the moment is some rain approaching. they might be seeing some gusty winds, but probably don't know it is, in fact, a tornado warning. if you know anyone driving in this area right now, give them a call, let them know there's something coming in from the west heading in the direction of norristown, king of prussia, conshohocken, and approaching the philadelphia area here very

soon. this again is a tornado warning inside of a very severe thunderstorm. very heavy rain in this storm. very high winds, damaging winds, and again we're seeing it traveling to the east around 45 miles an hour. i'm going to zoom out so you can see the motion of the storm, there you see it. it's moving to the east and now i'm going to stop it for a second so i can track it for you. the area still in this warned section with the red cone here, that's where we're seeing that tornado warning. again, getting to the lowest level of your home, interior hallway, or closet if you do not have a basement and stay away from windows. i'm going to track this for you. the leading edge of the heavy rain, that will be approaching plymouth meeting here very soon. this storm itself is containing very high wind, so plymouth, you can expect it by 4:59, plymouth meeting 5:01. at the same time it will be moving into these areas. it's going to be moving over the

pa turnpike, heavy rain over king of prussia, approaching west conshohocken, all of these areas near plymouth, you can expect very heavy rain here soon, too, and this is an area where we expect so see some of the strongest winds also. let's head over to brittney. >> just to paint the overall picture, we are tracking this tornado warning. we'll just zoom in and we're going to start calling out different areas here. black rock road you are under the tornado warning. collegeville, egypt road, neighborhood by neighborhood forecasts right now. we just want to make sure everyone that lives in these cities or street that it's a heads-up, turn the volume up, but definitely try to get down to your basement and get away from all of your windows. let's take a closer look here. north trooper road, germantown pike, level road. main street near bridgeport, also henderson road, king of prussia, all under a tornado
