for a part of our area. brittany shipp is here with how cold it will feel in the morning. >> in the poconos, we have a frost advisory that will go in effect until 2:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on your sunday morning. if you live in these areas, carbon and monroe ktcounties, y definitely want to cover up your sensitive plants. lows around the region this evening, down to about 44 degrees for philadelphia. 40 degrees in pottstown. into the 30s if you live closer to the lehigh valley and into the poconos. clear skies and cold temperatures. how cold will it feel when you wake up tomorrow morning? we'll start in the 40s for most locatio locations. 47 degrees in wilmington. 42 in allentown. we warm up as we push into the rest of your sunday. close to 70 degrees for philadelphia tomorrow. that's going to be the daytime high. it will be nice and comfortable

out. a little bit warmer than what we saw today. especially if you're going to head out to the eagles game. i'll have your tailgating forecast coming up. i'm forecasting a dry stretch. more in the forecast. breaking news out of a fr k frankfort neighborhood. it happened just about an hour ago. police transported the man to temple hospital. so far, no arrests have been made. new at 11:00, a montgomery county neighborhood is on edge, after a string of arsons. police are investigating four separate fires within blocks of each other. all set over the past two days in pensburg. tonight nbc 10's george spencer found police believe the same person intentionally set all of the fires. >> reporter: the fire calls have been coming in to police during the early morning hours. you can see this charred garage,

now boarded up. it's one of four suspected arsons, all within walking distance. we found this burned and blackened front seat of a truck, now sitting useless in the truck's bed after an early-morning car fire on thursday. police say it's one of two arsons on this same pensburg street full of families. >> it's scary. it's scary and it's sad. it's terrifying. >> i'm flabbergasted. i'm upset and scared for my family, too. >> reporter: eric tells us many families moved to this area to get away from the chaos of city life. but now the police say they believe the same person is behind a series of four arsons here. two car fires early yesterday morning, and a car fire, and this garage fire early thursday morning. >> i looked at that and i go, wow. i said, what kind of thing does damage like that? >> we have kids, we have a life. we work hard for everything we've earned. the kids don't realize, this is a felony.

>> reporter: investigators have few details to work with. and worried neighbors say there's no apparent rhyme or reason for who's targeted. this close-knit neighborhood now banding together even tighter to prevent any more fires. >> i think you have to really always keep an eye out. no matter where you are nowadays. if you see something, say something. >> reporter: at this point police are asking the public to pass along any relevant tips and assuring this community they're working this case intensely. reporting in pensburg borough, george spencer, nbc 10 news. new information in a cold case. bail is denied for the man charged with raping and killing a 14-year-old bucks county girl more than three decades ago. george shaw was arraigned in court this morning. family members of the victim, barbara rowan, were also in the courtroom. rowan had been babysitting shaw's daughter at his home back in 1984, before she went missing. her body was found weeks later. but it took 31 years for police to arrest shaw.

prosecutors say in the meantime, shaw raped a 69-year-old montgomery county woman. he was extradited from florida. the break in the murder case came from robert sanders, who admitted to helping shaw dispose of the girl's body. it tied shaw to the crime in testimony before a grand jury. more grief for the owner of the southwest philadelphia auto tag shop. a man was stabbed 20 times by a robber on thursday. and somebody broke into the auto tag store. there are no suspects in either crime. hundreds of people from the transgender community and their supporters rallied in center city today. the annual trans march was especially somber, after keisha jenkins, a transgender woman, was killed last we're in philadelphia's hunting park area. it was a major topic of conversation for those who attended the rally today. she was attacked by at least five men last tuesday before she was shot in the back.

her death reigniting the discussion about violence in the transgender community. >> it just hurt me. there are people out here who are really cruel. to do that to her, for what? >> everybody is their own person. if you don't like them, you don't like them. let them live their life the way they want to live their life. >> police say they don't have any suspects in jenkins' murder. it's not clear this was a hate crime. today thousands of activists from philadelphia and across the country converged on washington, d.c. they marked the 20-year anniversary of the million-man march. back then, hundreds of thousands gathered for the message of atonement. for today's march, the theme is justice or else. organizers called for reforms in policing, and trayvon martin's mother addressed the crowd. >> a lot of parents, we think this is all about civil rights. but this is about human rights.

>> many people from our area traveled in buses to d.c. this morning. and some of them took the same pilgrimage two decades ago. >> 20 years ago it was the most beautiful thing. i go along with my children being born, to see that many black men together, peacefully, and trying to form a purpose. >> when you think about these times, these special times that we live in, we know that we're aiming for equity for everyone. everyone is reaching out to know that we are one. >> president obama attended the first million-man march back in 1995. but he was not at today's event. tonight the university of delaware community is remembering the life of nobel laureate richard heck. the former professor died friday in the philippines where he lived. his research led to the development of heck reaction for which he won the nobel prize in chemistry in 2010. richard heck was 84 years old.

the philly pops celebrated the sounds of sinatra this weekend with a concert and a wedding. rachel matthews snuck offstage to change into her wedding gown. she walked down the center of the stage with her father toward her groom. philadelphia mayor michael nutter performed the ceremony and nbc 10 caught up with the happy couple right after their "i do's." >> so exciting. words can't describe how exciting this feels. >> we're thrilled. and overwhelmed. >> the bride insists the concert in her wedding dress, the newlyweds will also perform in both concerts tomorrow. congratulations to them both. the strong storms that ripped through our area last night forced many to spend their saturday cleaning up. nbc 10's andrea kline thomas checked on their work.

>> reporter: if you follow the hum of the wood chipper, it leads straight to grange street, where residents continue to assess the damage after friday night's storm. >> you see my truck windshield that was parked in the driveway. >> reporter: the powerful winds snapped branches off the tree, heaving them onto their roof. >> blew from that side of the tree and lay completely across the house. >> reporter: residents say they got an emergency alert on their phones. and within a minute, the storm was here. they described it as straight line winds that headed up this side of grange street. residents continue to accounted for now mingled belongings that may have blown away. >> waking up this morning and getting a good look, what was that like? >> that was worse. that was worse. like what could have happened. what could have been worse. >> reporter: perspective provides comfort. no one was injured, and property damage is isolated. but it can still be shocking to have to pick up the pieces. >> i took pictures, and itches just amazed at how much the tree

mid 40s in pottstown. 50 in dover, right along the shoreline 40 for atlantic city. you might need an extra blanket tonight. a big difference tonight versus last night. we're down 17 degrees in the poconos, 16 degrees cooler in allentown. we're down 20 degrees in millville. same thing in atlantic city, and 14 degrees in dover. here's the frost advisory. it does include the poconos, goes into effect at 2:00 a.m., lasts until 9:00 a.m. cover up your sensitive plants. we expect the temperatures to stay in the mid-30s in the overnight hours. quiet conditions right now, but it helps contribute to the cooling overnight when we see calm conditions and clear skies. we're also planning to stay dry. so the system that rained out the nascar race in south carolina is not going to transition our way. we will stay dry another day as we head into the second half of your weekend. it's going to be a cool weekend for us. our temperatures are slowly going to start to recover back

closer to average as we head into tomorrow. monday, we actually go above the average, which is 69 degrees for this time of year. as we head into tomorrow, sunday at 1:00 p.m., here's your eagles forecast. kickoff right around 1:00 p.m. 64 degrees. still on the cool side. cool for tailgating. by the fourth quarter, temperatures warm up a little bit, up to about 67. tomorrow's high will get pretty close to 70 degrees throughout philadelphia. cold and clear tonight. we drop down to 44 for philadelphia. 38 degrees to the north and west. even cooler than than in the poconos, with the frost advisory in effect until at least 9:00 a.m. sunny and cool tomorrow for us. temperatures push back closer to 70 degrees. your seven-day forecast shows we stay nice and dry sunday and monday, but take a look at tuesday. that's when we'll see our next chance of showers. next week we stay cool. temperatures hover right around average. we stay dry after tuesday.
