tonight it's actually still nice, temperatures in the mid 60s, but all that is going to change as we head into saturday and sunday. we have a freeze warning, again, that goes into effect saturday night and sunday night for the areas here highlighted in purple. even philadelphia stretching out to wilmington, not under this freeze watch, but frost is going to be a possibility, especially as we get into sunday night. there's a freeze watch, it goes into effect tomorrow night and we expect temperatures to drop down into the 20s for locations closer to the lehigh valley, stretching into the poconos, parts of lancaster county. that's for saturday night and sunday night, not for tonight. as we get into the same days again, our temperatures will be close to 30 degrees if you're closer to some of our suburbs and south jersey. a cold next couple of nights on tap for us, but right now still mild. 63 degrees in philadelphia, 60 degrees in wilmington, low 60s in dover and 57 degrees in allentown. as we head into the rest of the evening, temperatures in the 50s. 53 degrees, overnight drops down

into the 40s for philadelphia and the cold air really settles in as we push into tomorrow. our temperatures staying in the mid 50s during the day. i'll break down the details on what you can expect as we head into the weekend coming up in my full forecast. jim? new information this evening in the murder of a 14-year-old earlier this week. today police arrested this man, dimit dimitrius brown. officers say an argument led to the murder monday night. officers found the victim on the highway monday and brought him to the hospital, but he later died. tonight a neighborhood wants answers into the death of a 3-year-old boy in haddon township. is there a predator out there? police haven't revealed how brendan creato died. he disappeared from his home and was found in the woods. cydney long has been working this case all week and is joining us live once again. cydney? >> reporter: jim, i can tell you residents out here as the days go by, they are faithful that justice will prevail, but as the

memorials grow, so too do their questions, they are anxious for answers, they are anxious for some peace of mind and they never imagined it might take this long. >> we're just nervous, and we'd like to know some answers. halloween is coming up and we're debating whether to let the kids go trick or treating. >> reporter: hundreds of neighbors jumped into action tuesday morning. they were engaged from the start, desperately looking for a missing little boy. >> it brings you to tears, you know? they were searching my backyard 7:15. >> reporter: now their desperation is to know their community is safe or not. >> and there seems to be no answers and we don't know whether, you know, there's somebody lurking around or, you know, how this happened. we're just scared. >> reporter: sources have confirmed brendan didn't walk to the park alone, so who took him there, how, and why? diane saw a k-9 unit out last night as they were the first morning sniffing for clues near the father's apartment building. >> i'm sure they are working

trial. the jury got the case late this afternoon after both sides wrapped up their closing statements. griffin campbell is on trial for third-degree murder. both closing statements were passionate and animated. the defense called campbell a guy from north philly feeding his family who didn't have the expertise to know how to demolish a building. prosecutors say campbell was warned by coworkers about the dangers before the collapse, which left six people dead. a big gamble for pennsylvania lawmakers next week. some want to eliminate sites like fan duel and draft kings. nbc 10's jacqueline london joins us now. >> next week lawmakers in the house of representatives will vote on a bill to limit daily sports websites in pennsylvania to only those run by the state's 12 casinos. representative george dunbar says the bill would protect consumers after lawsuits and claims of insider knowledge. fan duel and draft kings hired a lobbying firm in pennsylvania.

just last night nevada ordered the two companies to shut down its operations in that state unless they get a gambling license. they ruled the betting on daily sports websites is gambling and not a skill. comcast, the parent company of nbc 10, is among the investors in fan duel. delaware is also looking into whether to take action. secretary of finance tom cooke told our partners the state is looking into the reasonings to see whether it applies in delaware. the daily sports betting is now a $2.5 billion industry. back here in pennsylvania next week, lawmakers plan to vote whether to legalize online gambling. new jersey already allows it. jacqueline london, nbc 10 news. tracked, followed, and robbed, leaving a washington square bar, the suspect wanted in surveillance video along with three others. followed a man from a bar at 13th and locust street back in august. he was beaten and robbed of his

jewelry. gunshots in atlantic city this afternoon. sky force 10 over the crime scene at the intersection of virginia and sewell avenues. one person was shot here. the victim showed up at atlantic care medical center and detectives are still looking for the shooter in this case. tonight we're waiting for the identities of the two people killed in this rollover crash this morning. the accident happened near the corner of blackwood klementine and laurel roads. the driver and passenger in one vehicle died, the other driver is in critical condition and the crash is still under information right now. opening statements under way today, chaka fattah jr. reviewed fattah jr.'s commercial loan application for his businesses called 259. he's accused of misusing federal education contracts and loans to pay personal expenses. he denies those charges. chaka fattah jr.'s father was in the courtroom today, facing

charges in a separate case. he is married to nbc 10 anchor renee chenault-fattah. renee is referenced in the criminal complaint against her husband. she's labeled as person e. and an affiliate of the fattah enterprise. the feds allege she took part in a scheme to sell a car to pay closing costs on a vacation home. a mother attempted to hire a hitman to hikill her daughter's ex was sentenced to ten years in prison. police arrested her back in november after she met with an undercover detective who posed as a hitman. she said her daughter's ex-boyfriend was abusive. a plan to run in the nude led to a hazing investigation at rider university. the entire men's cross-country team suspended from a meet last month. some students have been charged now with hazing and alcohol violations by the school, not the lawrence township police department. a dog fighting bust in

wilmington, 68 in pottstown and the 50s right now in allentown. cold night tonight, but not as bad as we head into saturday night and also into sunday night. our current temperatures show that all this cold air is going to head our way. you'll notice buffalo right now at 37 degrees, detroit at 50 degrees, and again, this cold air is going to come our way as we head into tomorrow. that cool air is out of here as we go into the rest of tonight. that cold air is going to set up shop and stick around, not only for saturday, but also sunday and then into monday. so that's when we'll start to see some of the coldest air in our region. it's going to be monday morning. a freeze watch has been issued for all the areas here highlighted in purple. philadelphia not under a freeze and frost advisory right now, but patchy frost is going to be possible saturday night heading into sunday night. let's take a closer look at what to expect in the two areas under the freeze watch. we expect to see a cold sunday morning, especially in parts of

the south jersey. down to about 33 degrees, down to 33 in millville, we'll wake up to temperatures in pemberton at 33. frost is going to be likely, but sunday morning and early monday morning, so we have a cold couple of days ahead for us and even colder closer to the lehigh valley and also the poconos. expect temperatures in quakertown on sunday morning at 29 degrees. only 31 in pottstown, 31 degrees in lands gin dadale. cold weekend on tap for us during the day, average for this time of year is 67. heading into tomorrow we stay in the mid 50s. big drop from today, we were in the 60s. now we drop down into the 50s. tomorrow we stay there, sunday, heading into monday, and that monday temperature is important because of all the people heading out to the eagles game. expect a cold monday night football game. our radar shot shows we are seeing clearing conditions with our clouds but still a few

showers starting to push in through the poconos. you'll notice they are dying down as quickly as they are moving in. expect to see a mainly dry night, mainly dry weekend, we could see a few sprinkles with a disturbance that's going to move in as we push into saturday and sunday. here's a closer look at touch weather. as you wake up tomorrow morning for philadelphia, mid 40s. not too bad. we don't warm up that much, though, into tomorrow, staying in the 50s. you'll notice a few pops of precipitation closer to cape may, but again mainly dry for us. then sunday morning is going to be a cold day, most temperatures in the 30s throughout the entire region. so high 30s if you're in philadelphia, closer to south jersey, more closer to your mid to low 30s. then even the 20s if you're in the lehigh valley as we wake up on sunday morning. so a closer look at your eagles football forecast, monday night is the game at 8:30, kickoff temperatures expected to be at 44 degrees, low 40s by the time the fourth quarter rolls around. partly cloudy for us this

evening, 44 degrees, temperatures to the north and west at 39 and by tomorrow, 53 and 57. seven-day forecast shows 50s are here to stay, overnight temperatures in the 30s. saturday night and sunday night, so by monday morning, it is going to be very cold out there throughout the entire region. we will not see recovery with our temperatures until we get to tuesday at 65 and by wednesday back to the 70s. this evening us airways is flying its final flight, a round-trip trek from philadelphia to san francisco. flight 1939 arrived at charlotte, north carolina, around noon. it's in the air right now scheduled to land in phoenix, then san francisco around 10:00 tonight. it first took off from philadelphia international airport at 10:36 this morning. american and us airways merged in december 2013 but it's taken nearly two years to integrate their systems.
