let's go to meteorologist brittany shipp. >> the chilly temperatures staying in the 20s. eventually into the teens. here it is. the coldest air so far this winter. an arctic nudge is coming down and we'll see the arctic air settle over the area monday night into tuesday. we'll see some very cold temperatures and finally drop below average. even today we were above average. it was definitely chilly out. our city planner shows by 8:00 p.m. 38 degrees. our temperatures will eventually drop into the 20s tonight. it for philadelphia 28 degrees. allentown will get down to 21 degree. down to 27 in atlantic city. coming up i'm tracking how long the cold air will stick around. when we'll see windchills close 5 degrees and a chance for flurries. that's coming up in the seven-day forecast. >> thank you, brittany. several counties have issued a

there's a report he's one of the leading candidates. but our comcast sports net refutes the report. there's a lot of reports that the eagles may interview adam gase. he's meeting with eagles ownership soon about his future. he gets a win in his only game as head coach this season. on the first series he put sam bradford under center like murray likes it and dimaremarco murray has the longest run. third quarter giants up by six. a look at connor bar getting to eli manning. walter berman picks it off at 83 yards for the return. and the eagles hold on to beat the giants again. 35-30. sam bradford will be a free agent. the big question is will he be back? here's what he's looking for in the next eagles coach. >> you want to play for a guy

that reunited the same photo but with happier faces. be sure to tune in tonight. you'll hear the experts take on who will replace chip kelly as coach. a malcolm jenkins exclusive and sam bradford weighs in on his future with the team. new at 6:00 five people in the hospital after this collision in hamilton township mercer county. police tell us a honda and saturn crashed around noon today. then they hit two more vehicles in the parking lot of a nearby gas station. take a look at the surveillance video that shows the crash. rescuers had to cut off the door of the civic and pull two men out. another adult and two kids in the saturn also went to the hospital. there's no word on any of the victims conditions. police in galloway township atlantic county are investigating the death of a man. he was found on the side of gray creek road this morning. sources tell us that he was hit

by a car and killed. police are not releasing the victim's identity or any other details. to west philadelphia now, a man in critical condition after shooting outside a seafood store. he was shot four times before police time him to the hospital. there have been no arrests. homes under water. this is what a philadelphia woman's basement looks like tonight after her house was one of many that flooded today after police say someone stole the copper piping from a vacant house nearby. an nbc 10 got a look at the damage. doug shimell is live tonight. crews are still trying to clean up the mess. >> reporter: exactly. it it has been pretty much eight hours of damage and flood control. cleaning up the symptom of one of the many foreclosed properties in the city. >> it's terrible. i can't say on tv what i wish to

say. >> reporter: this is not how kim mcginnis left her cellar saturday night. >> everything is damaged. my washer and hot water heater are under water. brand new washer and brand new hot water heater. it's a big mess. >> reporter: residents near orthodox called police after water started appearing in the basement. there was water coming from the corner house. >> all the copper piping had been ripped out. we're making the same assumption that the piping is ripped out of the basement. it caused the water to be leaked for an extended period of time. >> reporter: eight feet of water in the basement of what neighbors say is a foreclosed property that has been empty for more than a year. >> the front door -- there was no door handle. you could kick it in. you know, it's been uninhabited. >> reporter: the water said the number of foreclosures has

soared so has flooding from stolen copper pipes. >> they warned and warned. >> reporter: we tried contacting first allegiance bank, which is now listed as the owner of the foreclosed property, but we couldn't get past the answering service. we wanted to ask the question that a lot of neighbors that suffered damage want answers to. who is going to pay? i'm doug shimell. there should be answers about the death of a 5-year-old boy. jayll vega bautista was found dead yesterday afternoon. he ran away from a new year's eve party sparking a frantic search. the child has autism. he was carrying a tablet a volunteer spotted yesterday. that's when divers discovered his body. the autopsy will determine how and when he died. police call his death a tragic accident. from our delaware bureau, more than a thousand dupont workers will find out tomorrow

welcoming philadelphia's next leader. tomorrow morning jim kenny will be sworn in as the city's 99th mayor. he'll take the oath of office in front of his predecessor. nbc 10 drew smith spoke to kenny this morning. he's live at the academy of music. what is kenny's first priority of mayor? >> reporter: the mayor elect is focussed on the poverty issue here in philadelphia. it leads to a lot of other problems, he said, like drugs and violence on the streets here. he's going to start getting to that when he gets into office on tuesday. there's something to take care of tomorrow. the inauguration. it will be a little different than you might expect. there are no gowns or tuxes. no ball at the end of the night. instead they're calling it a block party. we saw crews cleaning up the streets and organizers prepping the academy of music for the ceremony.

camelback this week. it is finally cold enough for the ski resort to be making snow around the clock. it plans to reopen for skiing and snowboarding on thursday, and day and night skiing will be available. it's cold enough for snow, brittany. >> absolutely. the next couple of days they'll have a great chance to continue making snow. we have another picture to show you. we need a little bit more snow on the mountain. we're going to open that resort in the next couple of days. and the arctic blast will help. we have a chance of a few snow flurries for parts of the suburbs. we'll have the details on that. and the arctic blast will be short lived. the temperatures will be milder once again. all in your seven-day forecast. right now at at philadelphia 41 degrees. wind at 12 miles per hour. that's important. take a look the feels temperature. it feels like closer to 34 degrees. that's important as we head into the next couple of days a as well. temperature wise 30 degrees in the poconos.

39 in mount holly. mid 40s in wildwood and the wind speeds will be strong heading into the rest of tonight. even as we head into the monday as well. notice the wind gusts closer to 20 to 25 miles per hour. pushing into monday morning and it will continue to head into monday afternoon as well as another cold front continues to move through. our temperature won't move much because we have cold air locked in and the wind speeds will keep increasing. it's going to feel colder as we go through the day on monday. we have the cold air over us. as we take a look at the future weather it shows us heading into monday and tuesday. we'll see the arctic air pushing forward. a cold front will fly through releasing some of the cold air. arctic air will be situated over the region. take a look at wednesday the arctic air retreats to the north and cold air will be situated over us. our temperatures will recover as we head into wednesday and thursday. let's take a look how cold it will get as we push into monday morning. 21 as we head into the afternoon

on monday. temperatures will feel like we're in the teens. so, again, like i mentioned it's going to feel colder throughout the day. tuesday morning is going to be the day where it's very cold. it's going to feel like 5 degrees as you head to work on tuesday. make sure you keep in mind. prepare for it. especially the kids at the bus stop. one thing we're tracking is possibility of snow flurries heading into monday. it's the lake effect snow blowing in from the northwest. we have a chance to see a few snow flurries in the area heading into tomorrow. we mainly stay dry. but don't be surprised if you see the snow flurries. seven-day forecast shows how cold we'll get. 33 on tuesday. overnight lows in the teens. we recover nicely back into the 40s by wednesday. after a week of turmoil the eagles finished with a flourish. no problem today against the giants in the season finale. and demarco murray looked fine this afternoon. highlights and locker room reaction coming up next.
