live outside the village deli, we have details. >> reporter: chester police in the very early stages of the investigation but this is what we know so far. around 7:45 this evening, three men shot outside of the village deli on morton avenue between johnson and east 12th street. one died, two others are being treated. as the chester medical center. we were there as detectives gathered evidence including clothing at the scene. the names of the victims and conditions have not been released. an hour earlier, half a mile away, another crime scene in the 1600 block of upland street. you can see police activity from sky force 10. here a man found shot dead in the car. again, his identity has not been released. detectives do not know if both shootings are related. no suspects have been arrested at this time. but if you have any information you're urged to call police.

reporting live in chester, nbc 10 news. sky force 10 captured the arrest tonight of a suspect accused of prostitution. philadelphia police surrounded the car in northeast philadelphia and took the driver into custody. police say the suspect was wanted in connection to a prostitution operation in ben salem bucks county. a murder investigation is under way in mercer county, new jersey, after a woman found bludgeoned to death. police in east windsor say the body of the 73-year-old found in this house on mozart court last night. police say the victim's daughter-in-law may have information in relation to the murder and said the 45-year-old disappeared and may have fled in a 2000 nissan quest minivan with new jersey plates. sky force 10 over the scene of a sinkhole. officials tell nbc 1 a suv stuck

in the sinkhole and safely removed. no one was injured. much of the snow has melted from this weekend's monster blizzard. but some of it is still sticking around. nbc 10 in northeast philadelphia found mounds of snow lingering on the sides of the road. how quickly has the snow melted? and where? let's bring in glenn "hurricane" schwartz with more on that. >> you wouldn't think that there was any snow left but, of course, you know that there is. this map shows the snow and how much of it is left and without snow, southern dell we are and the jersey shore. in areas of blue, 6 inches or more. purple, 10 inches and pink 18. as we head toward northern delaware, we have some areas with more than 10 inches in the wilmington area and more than 10 inches in northeast philly and all of montgomery and bucks

down one on one with president obama and mainly about the affordable care act to get the 100,000 uninsured philadelphians to sign up by january 31st. philly is one of 20 cities targeted by the administration. the city with the most sign-ups gets a visit from the president. see jim's interview with the president starting tomorrow at 6:00 and 11:00 p.m. democratic presidential hopeful bernie sanders also visited the white house today. he met with president obama for more than an hour. the meeting comes just days after speculation the president was supporting hillary clinton. but the white house insists president obama does not plan to endorse anyone in the democratic primaries. hillary clinton paid a visit to mother bethel a.m.e. church tonight. the presidential candidate talked with african-american ministers from all over the country and mark kelly tyler.

reverend tyler tells us he thinks it's toim to strip down the gender wall when it comes to electing our next president. >> i'm not saying that i'm voting for her just because she's a woman but i'm certainly voting for her because she's qualified, capable, ready to lead and the fact she's a woman is a plus. we need to diversify our country. >> tonight hillary clinton told the ministers she wants to be their partner, not just their president. next clinton held a fund-raiser in south philadelphia. this video shows her entering. both clinton and sanders are hoping to make a triumphant return to philadelphia this summer when the city hosts the democratic national convention. randy gyllenhaal is live in center city. that countdown is on. >> reporter: it is exactly six months away at this point. and we talked to city officials. they're prepping for this big event. meantime, we tracked downhill hill, one of those candidates most likely to appear.

she was raising money tonight in south philly just days before iowa and again just six months before the dnc. the vip guests arrive in south philly at the offices of franklin square capital partners. the finance company hosting a private fund-raiser for hillary clinton expected to raise quite a bit of campaign cash here tonight. >> hopefully gets hillary gets the nomination. >> reporter: bill was not on the guest list but tried to score an au autograph. he hopes to see her on stage in the dnc. >> good for the city. any time you bring large crowd of people in. >> reporter: the mayor tells nbc 10 the city is already planning with the secret service and the fbi but compared to the pope's visit, this will be a much smaller event and a different crowd, more likely to spend cash at bars and rest rapts. >> not locked down and opportunity for restaurants and

other night life and other brew pubs and bars and restaurants to shine, to make some money. >> expecting anywhere from 35,000 to 50,000 attend des. >> reporter: tourism officials estimate a $300 million economic impact, a chance to showcase philadelphia once again on the international stage. >> i want people to really see the side of philadelphia that we all have come to love and enjoy. >> reporter: now, organizers will soon coordinate with the eventual nominee, likely bernie sanders or hillary clinton. worth noting that bernie sanders called clinton out on twitter today for raising money with finance executives instead of speaking with voters in iowa. live in center city, randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. less than 20 hours before the final republican debate before the iowa caucuses. trump is holding a fund-raiser rather than appearing on stage.

ted cruz challenged him to a debate. no word if that will happen. we know that cruz will be joined by marco rubio, jeb bush, ben carson, john kasich, chris christie and rand paul tomorrow night in iowa. tonight, the zika virus is spreading across the americas and so is global concern. the cdc says there are cases in 24 countries and territories. and the world health organization warns the virus could eventually spread to the entire western hemisphere. what do you need to know traveling? denise nakano reports from philadelphia international airport. >> reporter: offering refunds to customers traveling to affected regions. doctors say it's not a time to panic but people, especially pregnant women, need to know the risks. six days in punta cano and angela is back. >> not knowing. you know? obviously anything like that

traveling outside of the united states. >> reporter: she and other international travelers grown concerned in recent days over the risks of zika virus. >> there's a lot of mosquitos in st. marten. >> reporter: it causes mild symptoms in adults and children. but can be harmful to an unborn child causing birth defects. >> major complication is a small head. >> reporter: airlines such as united and american have given customers traveling to the affected countries in the caribbean, central and south america the option to postpone their trip or get a refund. there's no cure, treatment or vaccine for zika virus. doctors say the key is prevention. >> avoiding the bites and avoiding travel are probably the two most important things to do. >> reporter: if you plan to travel to an affected country, doctors recommend long-sleeved clothing and repellant and watch for symptoms. >> straightforward. fever. rash, joint pains and pink eye. if you have the symptoms and you've been to one of the

countries recently, and you're pregnant, then the next thing you do is call your doctor. >> reporter: there are no reported virus cases in the philadelphia. one in virginia for a woman that traveled overseas. doctors say smoking and drinking will more likely have an impact on an unborn child than zika virus. at philadelphia international airport, i'm denise nakano nbc 10 news. lawyers for the embattled congressman is ordered to stay on the case. the judge said if the lawyers don't keep working the criminal case, the trial could be delayed. it's scheduled to begin in early may. the lawyers say they want to quit since fattah has not paid in several months but he says he paid more than $100,000 since the arrest last summer. the congressman faces charges for bribery and money laundering. he is married to nbc 10 news anchor. renee is on leave from nbc 10.

a judge has ordered the leader of an armed group occupying a national wildlife refuge in oregon and seven others to remain in jail until at least friday. amman bundy made the first appearance today in federal court arrested yesterday following a traffic stop that turned deadly. speaking through his attorney, bundy urged those remaining at the refuge to stand down and go home. surveillance video shows a driver trying to lure two boys into his car along a south jersey street. what police want parents to know. i was just -- what is this? screaming for help. >> a mother tells the story of a raccoon attack that sent her 6-year-old to the hospital. how a bystander might have saved that boy's life. and i'm tracking a big warm-up on the way. don't miss the timing and the details in my exclusive forecast.

officials in camden county investigating two luring incidents. police have a neighbor's home security video of january 16th. you can see a dark volvo stop two boys 10 and 11 years old who run off. police later learned that same car was involved in another attempted luring of three boys an hour earlier in oak lin. both incidents, the driver is described as a man in his 60s with gray hair. he came like -- thank you. >> a mother's words of gratitude to the bystander who jumped in and saved her 6-year-old son from a raccoon attack. the mother and her son were walking to school when the animal attacked him in north gentlemen si. we want to warn you some of the details are graphic but if the bystander had not stepped in, the boy's injuries could have been much worse. >> a little kid was attacked by a raccoon.

>> all right. >> guy jumped out and killed the raccoon but the baby's bit in the face. >> reporter: a horrifying morning. a mother walking her 6-year-old son to school and witnesses say this raccoon ran and jumped on him, viciously clawing his face. >> his face was messed up. a lot of cuts on his face. >> reporter: the child fell into the snow being mauled and his mother screamed for help. a man leaving for work saw the commotion and began to beat the animal with a painter's pole, saving the child. >> i broke his rib because he yelled and then that i continued to hit him until he let him go and i killed the raccoon. >> reporter: the boy rushed to a hospital with severe cuts to the face. now work begins to determine if the animal had ray byes. danny say this is raccoon had to be ra bid. >> as a witness, said that the raccoon ran across the street and just attacked the kid so that sounds like, you know, he

had ray byes but it was definitely vicious. >> the little boy is still in the hospital tonight. health officials have testing the raccoon for ray byes and expect the results by friday. st. mary medical center in bucks county unveiled a joint replacement center this evening. it features 22 beds and private rooms. it will be housed on the ground floor of the main hospital. technology and innovation, those were the big topics tonight at a special conference in center city called the tomorrow tour. more than 150 local entremendous prem preneuroed met with the most accomplished leaders in the industry. mayor kenny spoke at the event. cam cost is an organizer of the tomorrow tour which will make stops in five other cities over the next two months. the redding terminal market is well-known for the good food, well now you can grab a bite and take in a movie, too. nbc 10 and center city for the

launch of movies at the market. they'll feature one a month from now through may. pay what you wish but you do need to make a reservation. and let's go over to glenn right now to find out about the changing temperatures and how quickly that snow gets out of here, glenn. >> it is a lot of it going to be gone by early next week as temperatures skyrocket. tonight, another chilly one. as a matter of fact, whatever melted in the day refreezes tonight and could be patches of ice, watch out for first thing in the morning. it's going to melt each day. more and more of that snow melting. and really nice weekend for those of you who want something besides last weekend with the 20-plus amounts of -- 20 inches plus amounts of snow. 30 degrees right now. the wind is really died down. 13 degrees colder than it was at this time last night. partly because the sky is mostly clear. it's well below the freezing mark so i'm sure we have some

icy patches out there and just below freezing in ben salem and in philadelphia. that urban heat island effect coming back as the snow melts. we get more and more of that concrete keeping the heat in at night. 30 degrees in dover. 29 in atlantic city. and atlantic city airport, the snow is gone there. we have a weak front that's approaching as you can see. doesn't have much with it other than a band of clouds. and what's going to happen here probably is that the snow associated with that front makes it to the mountains in western pennsylvania but has a hard time crossing the mountains. maybe a few flakes in the poconos. that is about it and now dry through friday evening. and now it's too warm for snow by then. we really have a nice warm-up here. still chilly right now and a big change in the pattern. jet stream way back up. the warmer air down south coming up here. and we are getting in to the

50s. at the very least we could peak out at 60 degrees before this warm-up is over. the arctic air, keeps retreating. and it gets warmer and warmer around here early next week. for tonight, clear and cold. watch out for that re-freezing. 22 for the low in philadelphia. 15 north and west and during the day tomorrow starting with sunshine. the clouds coming late in the day. a lot more melting. temperatures getting into the low 40s. fairly similar to today. friday's colder behind that front. also kind of windy. and that's going to set us up for a couple of cold nights and saturday morning going to be cold and then the rest of the weekend really warms up. 52 by sunday. 57 by monday. and we could get up to 60 as the rain showers move in tuesday. hi, i'm amy from comcast sportsnet, the flyers with the best team in hockey in washington, d.c.

maybe tonight you dream about your dream car. the philadelphia auto show is about to get rolling. the mayor was riding shotgun as the dodge viper was driven in. the viper belongs to rocker jon bon jovi. this is the 115th year of the show. another car sure to turn heads is the fiat that carried pope francis through philadelphia in september. the car will be auctioned off at the show this friday. we were there as that same fiat was driven into the auto show today. in the passenger seat was papal singing sensation bobby hill. you may remember him as the boy with the golden voice. ♪ bobby hill captured worldwide attention singing for pope francis in the festival of families in philadelphia. his voice just incredible.
