panthers, what did you see in those tapes that made you think you can contain him and them? >> the thing is, i just look at the speed of our defense, and having guys that can rush the pass. like me and vaughn and malik. we've been against so many running quarterbacks. with aaron rodgers, andrew luck. those guys sort of got us ready for this point right now. we already had our rush package and things we needed to do to contain a guy like cam newton. we were comfortable. but we knew also who we were going against. he's a great quarterback. >> cam newton doesn't suffer from lack of confidence, but it seems like there was this key play early on with the sack, the fumble, the touchdown. do you feel like that was a key moment in the game to kind of set the course? >> i think it was a key moment in the game. i think we needed that push, the

motivation from vaughn getting the strip back, and then getting a touchdown. you can see it sort of put us over the top a bit. we were already stopping the run already. it made them one-dimensional so we can get to the passer a little bit. >> let me ask you this, demarcus, so much talk after the game, even before the game, would this be peyton manning's last game. did he say anything in the locker room privately to the players that leads you to believe he's leaning in one direction or another? >> i wouldn't think he -- i mean, from the speech that he gave all the way up to the game, i mean, i felt like he was in it 100% and not thinking about, you know, retiring or anything like that. but, you know, if this is or was his last game, you know, he went out on top. i'm just glad to be able to -- got a little piece of history with him for the last two years with the denver broncos. >> super bowl champion demarcus ware, congratulations.

supporters who have been engaging in online harassment. >> andrea, thank you very much. >> let's bring in our experts. nicolle wallace served as an adviser to the mccain-palin campaign, and chuck todd, moderator of "meet the press." >> good morning. >> chuck, big moment, big stakes. chris christie absolutely eviscerated marco rubio. it's like a game of three-dimensional chess. where does it fall out? >> i think the consequence of what happened saturday night is, i think no matter what happens here, barring one of the candidates sort of skyrocketing or an upset over trump, i think it means now nobody gets out. i think it means new hampshire doesn't win out the field. marco rubio had an opportunity to take control of the race on saturday night. he knew everybody was going to come after him. that's what makes saturday night so perplexing.

he knew they were coming after him and he wasn't ready. he ended up blowing an opportunity that i think could have been meaning securing the nomination, believe it or not. if he had had as good of a night as he had as bad of a night. >> let's go further on that. chris christie spent the whole week saying exactly what he was going to say to attack marco rubio on that stage on saturday night. like you said, here comes the punch. i'm going to hit you right in the nose. marco rubio didn't prepare for it and had no answer for it. >> here's a dirty little secret. marco rubio is polarizing in the republican party. from the outside, he looks like a pleasant, rising star in our ranks. inside the party and the field of candidates, he has thin skin on policy matters, and chris christie saw an opening. he telegraphed and, man, did he take it. >> he absolutely did. i guess that's the question, chuck. again on the fallout, where it all comes, does it lift

christie? does this have the effect of helping christie? what about donald trump? no one goes after donald trump. he's the one who looks to be about to win new hampshire, if you believe the polls. >> by a lot. >> i don't know if it helps christie at all. i don't know if christie looked good in the moment. he looked tough in the moment, made rubio look terrible in the moment. but nobody i talked to believes christie has been helped here. the candidate that may have been helped the most by this, john kasich. he has been sort of the guy that doesn't attack anybody. in new hampshire, that could get rewarded. he's the guy that every other campaign quietly thinks could end up in second place or surging in the last minute. >> funny how things end up. i'll ask you about the democrats here. you have bill clinton out there, really standing up for his wife, hillary clinton, saying the tactics being used by the bernie sanders campaign are off the charts wrong. >> you have bill clinton there looking really desperate. then you have hillary clinton's

most prominent female surrogates unload on young women who are drawn to bernie sanders. i have thought all along hillary clinton was in a strong enough position to glide through the ups and downs of the early states. she struggled in iowa eight years ago. bernie sanders is from the neighboring state. the fact she can't be more placid when he's challenged is, to me, the greatest threat to her eventual ability to be the nominee. these are hurdles like marco rubio she should have seen coming. it's more concerning for her supporters to see bill clinton and gloria steinham become unhinged. >> playing the sexism card, because that's what it is. is that a winner? >> they want to rally women. it hasn't happened. everything has been generational, not grend ender. the clinton campaign knows it'll be a long february before they get to south carolina. >> chuck, i'm coming your way.

storm and said they'd try to beat it. conditions were far worse than anyone expected. >> these waves are 25 feet tall. >> reporter: high anxiety on the high seas sunday as a royal caribbean cruise ship hit rough waters off the coast of south carolina. >> 75 mile an hour winds. >> reporter: officials say the anthem of the seas making its way south from new york to the bahamas, ran into severe weather, forcing the crew to change force and head to port canaveral, florida. royal caribbean saying, in part, in an abundance of caution, the captain asked all guests to stay in their state room until the weather improved. there has been no damage to the ship due to the weather. passengers using social media to show their experiences riding out the storm shot video and photos of toppled furniture and other minor damage. the coast guard released a statement overnight, saying nervous relatives began calling about their loved ones on board,

the fence. >> reporter: 17-year-old twins killed after their toboggan crashed. >> males entered the property after hours. >> reporter: the brothers along with six friends snuck in with their own friends early saturday morning. the track used in a 1988 winter olympics is almost 5,000 feet long. the caldwell brothers were likely familiar with it. the family worked at the park as ambassadors, scanning tickets and welcoming guests. on this night, there was something the boys didn't suggest. >> they hit a large gate, used to separate the bobsled and luge tracks. two males died at the scene. >> reporter: over 62 miles per hour, hitting the gate at break-neck speed. the park's website calls the bobsled the fastest sport on ice. reaching up to four times the force of gravity. the park's ceo doesn't know how the boys got on to the property.

cruel to be in hawaii and sitting at a computer. we get together and goof around, make each other laugh, then go back to our corners. both write. pass the script back and forth, kind of like that. >> given the success of the first "zoolander," were there any rules? here are things we will do or things we definitely won't do? >> no rules. we really wanted to -- we didn't feel the pressure of trying to compete with the first one. at least we tried not to feel the pressure. once we locked into the ideas that we -- or sort of the plots and the themes of the movie. once we got a couple good anchor scenes, thought we had something funny, it became a joy to write. really fun. >> one of the things you notice when you watch the movie, you have a lot of famous people to do cameos in the film. >> many. >> did anyone say no? did you go to anybody and they said, no, thanks. >> virtually, no one. as soon as we started writing, we started getting incoming calls. mentioned it to someone and

♪ all i need we're back at 8:48. there are millions of germs flying around on the planes. how do you stay healthy when you fly? it's one of the things dr. mehmet oz is tackling on his show this week. good morning. >> good morning. >> i don't like to think about the germs but -- >> let's talk about not just germs, lots of things to pay attention to when you travel. when you book your seats, not all seats are created equally. if you're worried about water landings, get above the wings. worried about crashing nose first into the mountain top, make sure you're in the back of the plane. more importantly, the pilots and co-pilots don't get the same meals. >> interesting. in case one has food poisoning. >> even though the plane is pressurized, every alcoholic beverage has twice the effect.

>> we have to keep the air circulating. what do you mean? >> a lot of people think the person next to them can get them sick. >> the person diagonally can, too. also, the person on the other side of the plane. keep the air moving on your chest. you want it to protect you if it can. other things to worry about are the headrests. we did a survey. this is the dirtiest part of the plane. >> oh, gosh. >> have a napkin or cloth behind your head. the things you take for granted, the table top in front of you, the air vent above you, they're really dirty. >> never get clean snd. >> never get cleaned. use the foot to flush, as well. >> other modes of transportation? >> when folks look at the turnstile, they think their gloves will keep them immune.

>> this food is definitely going to get you in the mood. it's irresistible, seductive. we need the eggs, cream, dark chocolate, butter, piecrust, lavender. >> so this is a tart? >> yes. first thing we're going to do is infuse our cream the night before with lavender. lavender relaxes you and it certainly can, you know, get you in the mood. do that the night before so that it adds lavender to the ganache. over here, i have my piecrust. you can make it from scratch if you'd like. i love just using store-bought piecrust, especially for something like this, when the star is the caramel, toasted marshmallow. >> good, don't have to feel bad about that. >> it's easier. we're going to prick it with the fork. bake it for 12 to 14 inches, until golden brown. you can be a little festive. >> that's cute.

>> i love it. >> how are my tasters downstairs? are you in the mood? >> you know, this is really good. could you not have been sweet, brandi? >> this is a trifecta of desserts. i was thinking about you. this is the easiest caramel sauce to make. add the sugar, wait until it turns this beautiful amber color. then add the butter. add the salt because, honestly, it's the best part. it'll bubble up, quickly stir it. keep stirring it until it's nice and smooth. you're going to end up with this. >> looks beautiful. >> oh, my gosh. i could just drink this. >> i could bathe in it. >> let's head back here, savannah. i've already put the salted caramel into the tart pan. if you could add our heavy cream into the chocolate. >> into the chocolate. >> that's the lavender-infused cream. it adds a little something. >> already warm. >> i just popped it in the

microwave two minutes. let it sit there and it'll melt the chocolate. you'll end up with this. if you want, i'm going to have you do the chocolate. >> i thought this was going to be very complicated but it doesn't seem like it. >> there's a couple steps that make it worth it. make it nice and smooth. we have that buttery, flaky piecrust. the salted caramel. >> talk to me, baby. >> this is 50 shades of amazing. >> okay. >> then it gets sexier. we add this meringue topping. everyone knows i love toasted marshmallows. i love s'mores. this is egg whites, cream of tarter and a little bit of sugar. if you have a tort, i was told i can't play with fire on camera, but if you have a tort, you can use the torch and -- >> get the brown? >> nice, toasted part. or put it in the oven.
