chasing that vehicle, that chase went on 202, through montgomery county, on to 76 where it ended in lower merion. we're told during the chase that apparently two police cars were hit and also a police car for pennsylvania state police. investigators tell us none of the people involved in the chase were injured, however, you see the traffic backup what was going on in that traffic tie-up as police were searching they were also in the river pulling one of the suspects from the river, we're told he is at the hospital at this point,inging checked out and police are waiting to take him into custody. we can also tell you that investigators say that they are looking at this group for not just theft of the license plates but also assault on police. that is the latest. reporting live in lower merion township, deanna durante, "nbc 10 news." more breaking news just in. bill cosby's criminal case is on hold. the pennsylvania appeals court

is delaying his hearing that was supposed to happen next week. the pennsylvania superior court is weighing cosby's effort to have his sexual assault case thrown out. bill cosby is accused of drugging and molesting a woman in his home back in 2004. cosby has maintained his innocence. >> now to new video áhat may be disturbing to some. with nowhere to run a woman is stabbed in an elevator in philadelphia's fish town section. police released this video this afternoon, hoping to track down the attacker. nbc 10's randy gyllenhaal is following the story. >> how is the woman and do police have any idea who that guy is? that is pretty clear he had something on his head but you could see his face. >> reporter: it's incredible video, it's really disturbing but we do know that victim is in stable condition but that "táur&l on the loose tonight. so the woman was getting into this elevator here on the market

frankford line. let me show you this. it is disturbing the suspect follows her in, he steps up to the victim, pulls out a knife demanding cash and begins violently stabbing her. this entire attack lasted for less than 30 seconds but police say the 30-year-old victim had to crawl out of the elevator screaming for help, the suspect fled. he didn't even get away with money. we've been showing this video to septa riders shocked by the brazen aggressive attack. >> oh, my god. >> what's your reaction to that? >> oh, my god, that's a shame. >> it shocks me a lot because i take septa train every day. i go to work, i come home. and on septa. so to see that. and she's an innocent bystander. >> reporter: just one last look at the suspect's face described as a mid-30s male about 5'8"

with a light beard still on the loose after the violent attack. anybody who may recognize him is reallyñurged to call philadelphia police. we are live in fish town, randy gyllenhaal, "nbc 10 news." >> now to the latest developments from a drive-by shooting out of west philadelphia. this surveillance video just in to nbc 10 and you can see what police say is a white jeep pull up, somebody getting out and pointing a gun at three men as they are standing on the corner. all three were shot but they are expected to be okay. the suspects took off westbound on pemberton. anybody who recognizes the vehicle is asked to contact police. from our jersey shore bureau, a potential revival for rebel. a beacon of hope has come from the closed casino in the past few hours, the big ball atop revel glowed last night for the first time since the casino closed. and the hope is that the light could lead the way to a grand

mid june. the shuttered casino will get a new name, and be revitalized in a staggered fashion with 500 hotel rooms to open and most if not all restaurants. he said if casino permits aren't ready it won't stop the opening. >> everybody was happy it was going to open. for it to close it was like oh, they were going to lose jobs. things like that. >> reporter: it's news that residents are banking on for employment and for properties to pull out of crisis and ease the tax burden. >> first i wasn't affected but then as time went on i ended up getting affected by it, loss of jobs because you don't have money moving around so nobody's spending, nobody's hiring. >> reporter: revel employed 4,000 workers, 2800 full time. we checked with experts who tell will bring 500 jobs, depending on the number of restaurants that open. >> i really think it's on the

until later tonight. but if you went out today even if you just saw ityou would never think it's going to rain later tonight. beautiful blue skies still, temperatures still around 60 degrees for part of the area. just back to the west we had rain here. it's about to move into western p.a. and it will feature later tonight but for the rest of this evening we will be staying dry. 60 degrees still in philadelphia so far today we've got to 63 degrees. 57 in millville, 59 pottstown, 61 in allentown so it feels very nice, feeling a lot like spring. the average high now is around 48 degrees. so we are certainly staying above that. so we go through tonight temperatures stay on the warm side. but then look at this. by midnight rain around the area, mostly north and west. can't rule out the chance for a thunderstorm but the rain moves in. it stays around and we could have some showers lingering for the morning commute and then a big change tomorrow. it's going to get colder and windy so i'll show you these details and as we go into the

week with another chance for snow, that's coming up. >> now to our decision 2016 coverage of super tuls. it is the biggest day of the primary season. more voters will cast ballots today than any other single day before the convention. 12 states will hold primaries or caucuses. it's a day when one candidate could win enough delegates to make it very difficult for any other candidate to catch up. and lauren mayk joins us with a breakdown of the last minute push for votes today. >> 11 states have contests today, 12 for the republicans, they have about a quarter of all of the delegates that will be sent to the gop convention this summer. the front-runner in the republican race, donald trump. political experts are watching the delegate map here and say it would be a particularly big night for him if he can come away with a lead of 200 or more delegates. he is looking beyond super tuesday, though, and he spent

time rallying for support today in ohio. taking aim at democratic )ival hillary clinton. >> i haven't even started on hillary yet. hillary cannot make america great. she was talking about something yesterday making america whole. whole. no, i don't want whole. i want great again. i want great again. >> a live look at a trump rally, this one in louisville, kq'tucky, happening now. kentucky will hold its republican caucus this saturday so donald trump again looking ahead. new jersey governor chris christie campaigned with trump at the event in columbus earlrq) today. christie, he was critical of trump when he was running for president, but he endorsed trump on friday and now he's rallying crowds for his former rival. >> we're just warming up. because we're getting ready for the biggest, the biggest washington politician of them all, hillary clinton, here we come.

>> christie of course suspended his campaign after losing in new hampshire last month. today the new hampshire union leader said their endorsement of christie was a mistake. the headline of today's editorial said quote boy were we wrong. this is a very big day for texas senator ted cruz. his home state has the most delegates at stake today and there's really no one who has more at stake than he does winning his home state is critical for his chance at winning the nomination. his wife and daughters went with him to his polling place in houston where he cast his ballot. texas, we'll be watching that tonight. senator marco rubio, he has not won any state yet so we're watching for that as well. today he was trying to drum up support in minnesota. right now rubio is in third place for the number of delegates but he's looking to his home state of florida, the winner of that state gets all of its delegates. we haven't seen that yet in the race.

who holt will have an hour long edition. as the polls close watch an nbc news special at 10:00. >> a once secret archive is revealing widespread sex abuse by pennsylvania priest. >> it's all part of this grand jury report that was made public today. this report claims two catholic bishops in the altoona johnstown diocese helped cover up the abuse of hundreds of children by more than 50 priests or religious leaders over 40 years. eight counties make up the diocese. the 147-page report was made public today by pennsylvania attorney genq)al kathleen kane. kane said not only were priests moved around to cover up their crimes, but that church leaders placed their desire to avoid a scandal over innocent children. >> we get to be their voice, we get to speak for the powerless, to peek for children now grown

orthodox jewish community. jersey shore reporter ted greenberg is working on that angle. he'll have his story coming up at 5. sky force 10 is live over breaking news in montgomery county. emergency crews are on the scene as you can see of an accident involving an overturned vehicle with someone that had been trapped inside. this is happening at flower town road and thomas road in whitemarsh township. the intersection is shut down as they clear it. a person we are told was trapped in that vehicle that was on top of a live wire. we're going to continue to monitor the situation but the crew is on the scene getting the car cleared. hopefully the person inside was taken out and is safe. we'll let you know. >> body cameras could become part of the uniform for a local police department. the town council of hamilton could approve funding tonight at a public meeting.

if approved the township would buy 120 body cameras and accessories. they could be read the use d this summer at a starting cost of about $200,000. the mayor of hamilton township says body cameras protect officers and residents. a brand-new shopping center in north philadelphia is one step closer to becoming a reality. nbc 10 at the groundbreaking for a plaza allegheny in the city's fairhill neighborhood. the land that will soon be under construction was once the home of several junk yards and vacant lots. the 85,000 square foot shopping center will not only bring retail stores to the area but also help the local economy. >> this is really exciting for us. not only are we able to transform the physical environment of our community but it's creating a lot of jobs, it's going to bring services for the people in this area. >> the development project is expected to cost $16 million. a local catholic school is

getting $300,000 to help students prepare for college. students from saints john neumann and maria garhetty showed off the check this morning. that money was awarded by the school partnership, nearly half of the 500 students who attend are low income. across town parent power was the center of attention at thomas pierce elementary, a new parent resource center opened. at the north philadelphia school, the center gives parents, families and community members a place for meeting or access to computers. officials hope it will encourage more family involvement in the school. youth violence was the topic of discussion as religious leaders took to city hall. more than 30 pastors from throughout philadelphia took part in today's roundtable discussion. it was hosted by council man johnson who said he hoped today's gathering would be part of a larger conversation among community, religious and political leaders to keep our

kids from falling victim to gun violence. well, another gorgeous day across the area and we still have the nice weather in place, so enjoy it for the rest of this evening. because now we're tracking rain and wind. so rain moves in overnight tonight and then the winds start to increase tomorrow is going to be gusty day, and colder too. then we're looking at 20-degree temperatures returning, these are the overnight low temperatures so for the next few mornings you'll be waking up to temperatures in the 20s, not tomorrow morning but after that we'll start to get quite a bit colder. we have another snow chance before the week is over. so, as of now looks like early friday we could certainly see snow moving in. we'll show you that in a second. philadelphia sitting at 60 degrees, still the average high 48. so another beautiful day. so far today, we've gotten to 63 degrees, yesterday we were at 64, so very spring-like weather in place.

look what happens tomorrow. now, temperatures will be dropping throughout the day tomorrow through the afternoon hours, mostly around 40 degrees and then we go into thursday. still right around 40 degrees, the average high 48. so we're going to go from way above norm tool a little below normal over these next couple days. right now we are drive but there you see the rain back off to the west. so that will be moving in tonight. not until the overnight hours so the rest of your evening will be nice and dry and comfortable too. future weather, so temperatures stay above freezing, that's important as the rain moves in as we know by 11:00 p.m. there you see the rain, allentown still in the low 50s, philadelphia still about the mid to upper 50s, south jersey and delaware in the 50s and the rain moves through. now this is 2:00 in the morning, a lot of you will be sleeping when this is here. we can't rule out a thunderstorm, maybe a couple very early tomorrow morning. but then the rain moves away for the morning commute. most of the rain should be gone. can't rule out lingering showers but look at temperatures, really

dropping after this rain leashes. we're going to see a drop to around 40 degrees by 8:00 in the morning, it's going to get windy too, look through the afternoon, temperatures stay right around 40, upper 30s areas north afz west so colder and windy tomorrow. then we go into thursday morning, and we drop down into the 20s. then there's the snow i was telling you about, thursday late at night into early friday morning. this is going to be one of those smaller clipper systems, so we'll be watching this as we get closer to friday. as of now we could see a couple inches across the area but we'll have more updates and details as we go into tomorrow. for tonight though, the rain moves in, mainly after 10:00 p.m. 48 the low in philadelphia, 45 north and west. those temperatures keep on dropping through the afternoon tomorrow so. the early rain once it clears south going to get windy gusting near 40 miles an hour, temperatures falling to about the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. so it will be quite the difference from today to tomorrow. you'll want your jacket tomorrow, you'll keep it with you thursday.

breaking news now. the philadelphia eagles have reportedly come to an agreement with quarterback sam bradford. it's apparently a two-year contract, there have been some discussion with doug pederson coming in what would happen but the second half of the season he had a turn around again a two-year contract apparently reached with sam bradford of the eagles. employees are the only ones monkeying around at the philadelphia zoo. the zoo is closed to the public so staff can get ready, planting gardens, and cleaning exhibits. this is the second time staff had an entire day to themselves to clean house. >> actually able to recycle about 35 tons of that.

a ton of delegates up for grabs. this is video of voters lining up to cast ballots in burlington, vermont. senator bernie sanders' home turf. a live look from a campaign rally for donald trump, there he is in louisville, kentucky. it could be a big night for the republican front-runner trying to increase his lead over his closest competitors. this afternoon we wanted to walk you through exactly what's at stake and why the state is so important. >> lauren mayk spent the day breaking everything down to see which states are most important. this is such a big day. >> it is. why is this tuesday super and so what is in the race? there is a lot at stake. it's super sized when it comes to the number of states and delegates at stake. let's break things down for you. now, take a look at this map. these are the states that are holding contests for the democrats, they are in blue. there are primaries in alabama, arkansas, georgia, massachusetts, oklahoma,

tennessee, texas, vermont and virginia. then voters in colorado and minnesota, they will caucus. let's take a look at what happened for the republicans. you can see there in red. alaska will also hold its primary today. that makes a total of 12 states for the republicans. the most of any other tuesday this primary season, hence the name super tuesday. a closer look at what could be the most super of all of these super tuesday states. that's texas. its impact is huge for two reasons. first look at that, it's got the most delegates, 155. it's also the home state of senator ted cruz who is leading in the polls there. now, let's take a look at another one, take a look at virginia. front-runner, donald trump there. he's leading there, he is getting some serious pushback. a gop congressman from virginia is asking his fellow republicans

changes to move in tomorrow and before the week is over we have a chance of snow in the forecast. so all those details and the timing coming up. >> thanks, sheena. erin andrews took the stand for the second time today as part of her testimony about secret stay at a marriot hotel in 2008. emotional andrews told jurors about the lasting damage the videos have done to herment she expected the hotel to protect her privacy and that she's now cautious and on guard whenever she stays in a hotel, checking for cameras. andrews says after the video went viral her life changed. >> i think the thing that's really hit home for me and hurt me the worst is when girls, high school, college, they tweet me and say i want to be erin andrews except for the marriot stalker thing. >> andrews is seeking $75 million in her lawsuit against michael barrett, the hotel management and hotel owner.

on a deal. what are the details? >> the details are, two years, and espn's adam reports it's worth $36 million with $26 million guaranteed for the two years. last year sam set eagle records, 346 completions, and a career high 65% completion percentage. over seven games he had a much better second half of the season. he took over as a leader more, got more comfortable with the offense and the entire team, doug pederson, the new coach said last week that sam earned the right to come back as the quarterback for what he did the second half of the season and jordan matthews when the season ended said sam has to be the guy point blank period. i just didan informal twitter poll. i asked eagle fans the last 20 minutes thumbs up or thumbs down. 339 votes so far, 73% of eagle fans like the move. when you look at what the market is for quarterbacks the

the deptford mall. get your picture taken until march 26. even cats, dogs and small family pets will be welcome to join the fun on some sundays, and this year you can make an online reservation if you don't want to wait in line. beautiful day still outside right now. temperatures still comfortable. then tonight and we're looking at rain moving in so we have rain overnight. then we have windy conditions tomorrow, that's going to bring in the cold air and morning lows are going to start to drop back in the 20s again. so 20-degree morning low temperatures do return in the forecast. and before the week is over another chance of snow, doesn't look like a big system, more one of those alberta clippers but some of that across the area. temperatures around 60 degrees for most of us, mid-50s parts of south jersey and delaware, but still very comfortable outside,

tomorrow though, very different than today. right now we are dry, but look what's going to happen with the rain moving in. temperatures will be holding around the mid to upper 50s, then tomorrow morning when the rain starts to clear out look at that temperature drop. so 4:00 a.m. around 57 degrees, then 8:00 a.m. right around 38 degrees, that's going to be around a 20-degree temperature drop within about four hours. you'll notice the change with gusty winds, right now we're in the clear, we're not going to see the rain this evening or tonight. it's mostly late tonight, but there it is back off to the west and that is part of a cold front. so that will be moving through. we'll be on the warmer side of this and behind it there you see all of that wind around. can't rule out the chance for an isolated thunderstorm overnight but i think most of the area will just be seeing that rain moving through quickly, and it should be moving out for the morning commute. here's what future weather is showing. this evening dry, but by midnight you see the rain, temperatures in the 50s still. that rain starts to move

through, through the overnight hours, and then early tomorrow morning 7:00, 8:00, the model pretty consistent showing it all leaving but look at the temperatures dropping. to the upper 30s maybe mid-30s north and west so it's going to get cold, even through the afternoon. temperatures will be hanging right around the upper 30s to around 40 degrees. so have the jacket with you, even have the jacket as we go into thursday morning because now look at the temperatures down in the 20s. then it's thursday night and into friday morning, that we're watching. thursday 11:00 p.m. into early friday morning. of course we'll be updating this as we go through the next few days. maybe we could drop a few inches of snow but we'll be updating that even as we go through later on tonight. for tonight, around 48 degrees, if il fill 45, areas north and west, but we'll keep on staying in the 50s as we go mostly overnight. then tomorrow, temperatures falling to around 40 degrees as the rain clears out early in the morning. by thursday we're colder still

>> a homeless camp is creating a neighbor versus neighbor controversy. >> a church has allowed the homeless to stay there and not everyone is happy about it. >> reporter: this historic church is tiny on a huge piece of land. deep in these woods three residents have now caused a controversy at a condo complex down the road. william penn gave this to the church community 312 years later there is a dispute over who is camping on this piece of densely wooded earth. 75 yards in a few homeless people took up residence even with no leaves on the trees it's almost impossible to see their tents from the road but some folks in the condo complex would rather not have them here at all. >> i don't understand it. i don't understand you be a christian person and be against it. they are homeless. they are not doing anything to

bother anybody. >> in a form letter residents encouraged to sign and steend the mayor they call the homeless a blight. residents are told they can take back their community. >> there are no calls for what they complained about. >> she lives in the complex and checked for reports with police. there haven't been any. a manager tells me the homeless have been seen in foyers and benches. the pastor tells me he did hear the three did once wait for a bus in an unlocked mail room though they do have relatives in the complex and have been invited in at types. people in the tents are kind and respectful. he wishes many in the complex would be more understanding of their situation. >> leave them alone and get down on your knees and be grateful you have a home and a job and you're not ill. >> the workers were nice to me. they say they had complaints and keeping the best interests of the residents in mind. the church, they say the

we've now learned one of the suspects is in custody, and is connected to a series of crimes by the felony lane gang. >> deanna durante just got this new information. she joins us live with the breaking details. >> reporter: the felony lane gang is a nationwide crime family if you will that has been wreaking havoc. it's the most organized crime circuit that they have seen, some officers tell me ever in their careers, they steal license plates, break into cars, empty your bank accounts. that chase began in the township. when it came into montgomery county on the expressway up above in gladwyne some suspects bailed, ran down this hill here and we're told that one suspect jumped into the schuylkill river in order to try and get away from police. here's where the chase started we're told in chester county. that's where police who have been on the hunt for these
