you can see the burned wreckage of the big rig tonight. police say route 222 is still closed right now. five people dead in the head-lon collision. check for updates on the nbc 10 app. another big story tonight, more snow on the way. another round of winter weather is headed right toward us. good evening. >> this is a week when we have gone from spring to winter-like temperatures. get ready for another change. >> bring in meteorologist sheena parveen. tell us what to expect. >> tomorrow morning feeling like winter this morning. take a look at the past 24 hours. as far as the temperature difference. the temperature change right now we are anywhere from 20 to 25 degrees colder than we were last night at this time. so needless to say, it feels a lot colder and factoring in the wind we have around. feels like the low 20s, the teens.

with that wind. but as we go into tomorrow morning, it's going to be colder than it was this morning. lows in the 20s here even by 9:00 a.m. still the upper 20s. that wind's going to make it feel like low 20s and 11:00 m that wind lightens up and freezing and feeling around freezing, too. here's future weather. we have snow heading our way. system in the central plains starting the move in going into friday morning. so we have snow heading towards the area. coming up, i'll show you the timing on it and how much you'll be able to expect. that's straight ahead. a child porn conviction overturned. police found thousands of images on the computer. police found them investigating allegations of child abuse. >> the headmaster never charged with abuse but when detectives found the images, he was sentenced to 50 years in jail. today the delaware court said the investigation was flawed. randy gyllenhaal explains why.

>> reporter: christophkrichrist wheeler, convicted and sentenced to 50 years in prison. they found illegal images. wheeler was the headmaster here at tower hill school, a prestigious prep school in wilmington and the graduates of a u.s. senator and ceos. wheeler stepped down when the allegations first surfaced. but now, he may walk free. the delaware supreme court overturned his conviction saying the search warrant police used violated the fourth amendment. we had defense attorney look over the decision. >> basically they said the warrant was too broad. they went the look at any portable device, laptop, cell phone. >> reporter: wheeler likely released in the coming weeks and his attorney said in a statement police were given carte blanche to search anywhere and everywhere. a search warrant is not meant to be an easy pass for law enforcement to conduct boundless

searches. the judge noted that child exploitation is a horrible crime but they had to follow the constitution and in this case it means wheeler will likely go free. >> police said time and again in the opinion not a good guy and the end cannot just if i the means. >> reporter: wheeler's attorney said the client could be a free man in just two weeks, waiting to see if the attorney general's office will challenge the ruling. they said they have no comment. randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. tonight all main line health employees worried about personal information after they were the victim of a spear phishing scheme. in this case, a main line health employee responded to such an employee and provided the personal information of all other employees.

this attack on the health system was part of a nationwide e-mail scheme. cyber experts say hitting reply to can be the key to protecting yourself. >> looks like it came from somebody you know or a company you know whereas if you look at the reply e-mail, it may show something otherwise and not going back to that person you thought it was. >> now no main line health patient information was compromised in this attack. a potential break in the disappearance and murder of a man in 2014. only nbc 10 there at philadelphia detectives looking for evidence at an abandoned house this morning. vito maglio disappeared. and then in march of 2015, his nude body found in the schuylkill river, shot twice in the head. a scare for customers of a

local barbershop. police say four men in masks went in to the razor cuts. the suspects put everyone in the bathroom and took their money before taking off. fortunately, no one was hurt. tomorrow philadelphia's mayor doing something he's never done before. >> unveiling the first budget. it's already setting the stage for a fight at city hall. that's where nbc 10's lauren mayk is joining us. you asked him about the plans. what did he have to say? >> reporter: he said he and the team spent months preparing for this. and today i caught up with him to talk about his wish list and how he's going to sell it. in philadelphia's strawberry mansion neighborhood, these kids enjoyed a story time visit with the mayor but starting tomorrow his audience could be a tougher sell. for the first budget of his administration.

fire houses in the city and a long-time problem for the city. >> we'll ramp it up. if you owe taxes in the city, you have to pay them. >> reporter: higher penalties? >> a bunch of different things. look. most frightening agency in all of government is the irs. i don't know if we want to be as frightening as them but i would like to be as efficient as they are in getting the money. >> reporter: the mayor presents the plan here at city hall tomorrow morning. it is a tradition he's seen many times before as a council member. but this time, it is his budget. live in center city, lauren mayk, nbc 10 news. some bucks county residents fighting to keep a waste water disposal plant out of their town. the group of falls township to keep the recycling from setting up the plant near the banks of the delaware river. they say it's safe. those opposed to the plan say it's too close to their main

source of drinking water. >> so when this hazardous waste is spilled, it will immediately go straight into the soil, groundwater and almost impossible to clean up. >> aside from potential liquid waste, residents fear contaminated gases in their community. in decision 2016, tonight the republican presidential candidates bracing for their first debate after super tuesday. but only four contenders on the stage this time. ben carson will not be at the debate. he said he sees no path forward for his campaign. he could formally leave the race on friday when he plans to discuss the future of his campaign. mitt romney is trying to use whatever influence he can to stop donald trump's momentum. romney aides say the one-time republican presidential nominee delivering a speech tomorrow on the state of this presidential race. he's reportedly deeply concerned

because trump is winning. romney not endorsed another candidate. tonight trump released the details of his health care plan saying he'll repeal obamacare and eliminate the individual mandate requiring people to buy health insurance. trump also said he'll allow insurance companies to sell their plans across state lines. on the democratic side, hillary clinton focused on attacking donald trump and the other republicans one day after winning sepp states on super tuesday. clinton rallied trade worker union members. she blasted the tone and rhetoric of the republican race. instead of criticizing sanders. sanders said he won't relax his criticism of clinton any time soon saying in maine the four state victories on super tuesday amounted to an extraordinary night. well, here's a lock at the current delegate count for both parties. on the democratic side, clinton

is ahead with 1,017. sanders with 424. 2,363 needed to win. for the republican, trump is leading with 325. followed by ted cruz with 237. marco rubio at 117. 1,237 delegate nooeeded to win e republican no, ma'am in addition. the supreme court took up a biggest abortion case in 25 years. it's the first since the death of justice scalia. it surround texas law that requires doctors to have admitting privileges of a hospital in 30 minutes and meet hospital-like standards for surgery. opponents say the law would force half of all texas abortion clinics to close. the most they can hope for is a tie which would leave the law in place. that, though, seems unlikely. a loss in the courtroom

this is a video many of us will never forget. tomorrow marks 25 years since a group of lapd officers filmed beating rodney king on the side of the road. four of the officers were brought to trial for police brutality and acquitted and touched off racially charged riots across the city and king himself made a plea for the violence to end. >> we all get along. can we get along? >> well, the riots lasted three days claiming the lives of more than 50 people. when the smoke settled, it was estimated that merely a billion dollars in property damaged. king eventually settled more than $3 million with the city of los angeles. rodney king died in june of 2012. he was 47 years old. tomorrow a panel of three federal judges will hear the nfl's appeal of a ruling that nullified tom brady's four-game defla deflate-gate suspension. >> the league said he tampered

with footballs in the championship game. brady initially suspended for four games. the judicial panel could take months to announce a verdict. if the ruling is overturned, goodell could again suspend brady. the civil suit of the man that took nude photos of erin andrews was sespended. an attorney that represented the marriott group said he was in a restaurant and the friends played the naked peephole video of andrews. the attorney said he asked the friends to stop playing the video. andrews is seeking $75 million in her lawsuit against the stalker who videotaped her in 2008. the hotel management and hotel owner. tonight, a south carolina teacher has resigned after a student spread a naked picture of her on social media. leeann arthur said she left the

cell phone on the desk patrolling the halls in a class change. that's when a student opened her phone and took a picture of a nude photo she had taken for her husband for valentine's day. the school district says arthur was in the wrong because she left the phone unlocked. >> he knows right and wrong. he knows that he -- he had the ultimate decision to take pictures of my pictures. and he had the ultimate decision to send them out. >> students of started an online petition asking that she get her job back but she says she's not sure she wants it. tonight, water worries in burlington county. scientists found bacteria in the drinking water and some neighbors say it took a year before anyone told them. >> as nbc 10 reports, this is not the first time there have been problems with what's coming out of the tap. >> i was very angry, confused. >> reporter: residents alarmed by the letter about the drinking

water. >> out of blue. members of council didn't know it was coming. >> reporter: bacteria in february of last year. >> why did it take a year for them to receive notification? >> that's a very good question. the epa is inconsistent. >> reporter: the mayor said last month the department of environmental protection said residents had to be notified despite posting on the website within days of the bacteria being found. >> no danger to the residents with our water last february or now. >> reporter: here's the bigger issue. water in morristown is contaminated before, a long fight led to the closure of a well the main source of water. town is now outsourcing its water supply. >> i have three children and i want the know what i'm bathing them in and cooking their food with and it's upsetting. >> reporter: there's already a growing discomfort and lack of

trust in the community and the letter does not please lingering concerns. residents say they have more questions than answers an mayor hopes to clear it up on monday during the council meeting and the residents hope to get lawmakers to join their fight. in morristown, nbc 10 news. coming up, comedian tina fey with a shoutout to philadelphia. >> the native mentions a new scholarship at temple university inspired by her father. he was a military veteran. >> in her new movie, fey plays a war correspondent. >> dedicated the movie to him and my family set up a scholarship in my dad's name at temple weirdly because he was a vet for returning vets who want to study journalism. like a very specific scholarship. >> love her. tina explained more about the scholarship and the movie coming up. right after this newscast.

well, it is getting colder outside tonight. temperatures into the 20s for tomorrow morning. you want to bundle up. other than that, snow moving in going into friday. so winter is not over yet. but that will soon come to an end after the snow because we'll be back in the 70s next week. right now, 20s through the lehigh valley. 27 degrees in pottstown. low 30s or below freezing in parts of south delaware and temperatures bottoming out in the 20s. possibly the teens for some areas. around sun rise, allentown around 18 degrees. philadelphia right around 26. and areas interior new jersey like millville, 25 degrees so you want to bundle up. here's the snow i was telling you about going into friday. right now, the weather system right around chicago, but you see some snow and rain with

this. eventually, it will be moving into our area and it will bring some of us that snowfall. right now, though, nice and dry and staying dry going into tomorrow. so here's a look at future weather. cold tomorrow as we go through the afternoon. we do stay dry and then late tomorrow night that's when we'll see the snow approaching and now here's 11:00 p.m. look at the temperatures. we have been talking about accumulation being a little bit on the tricky side because temperatures are marginal. around freezing. may be harder for the snow to accumulate. if it's lighter, it could be melting. 6:00 friday morning, broken up on the model. it updates tonight and tomorrow morning and more updates tomorrow morning and by 6:00 a.m. friday we should have snow around and 9:00 friday new jersey and delaware especially and then finally moving offshore through the afternoon and then we set up for pretty decent weekend and as far as that snow's concerned, take a look at what we expect.

lower amounts further north and west through the lehigh valley. one to two around philadelphia. and so this is not a large storm. we have a lot of stuff to consider with this. now, temperatures like i mentioned marginal and lighter snow melting on the roads. heavier sticking to the roadways but it's a slushy snow, a wet snow. still slippery. impacting the commute and what we're watching are heavier areas of snow lowering visibility, too. tonight, low, clear and cold. winds diminishing. teens possibly north and west. tomorrow we'll see a mix of sun and clouds and a cold day around 40 through the afternoon and dry and snow moving in very late tomorrow night, into friday. friday the morning snow for part of the area. over the weekend, temperatures near 50 on sunday. next week, look at that. the warm-up i was mentioning. wednesday, 72 degrees. stay tuned. we'll be right back. find fantasy shows.
