deanna durante has been following the story all day long. how did these allegations come to light? >> reporter: the district attorney says that boy's father went to police in the fall and then the investigation began. and tom hogan says his investigation revealed a hazing culture here at the school that goes back four years at least. >> this is a simple case about ignorance, violence, and a shocking lack of supervision. >> reporter: the district attorney hogan says his investigation revealed a hazing culture by foot!all team members that extended to other student athletes. he says in the boys locker room students were free to do whatever they wanted because no one was looking. >> the fresh men might be ordered, the sophomores ordered to strip down to their underwear, and clean the locker room. they also had a tradition of on no gay thursday doing what they called blessing each other where they would use their hand to smack another kid on their back

look at the scene in cape may. no flakes falling, plenty of sunshine out there. and a lot of what fell has melted but there could be a refreeze tonight. first alert meteorologist sheena parveen is here. >> we've seen a lot of wet sidewalks and wet roadways from the snow that fell, then quickly was melting this morning. so that is going to be freezing tonight. those areas that have not dried up with temperatures dropping below freezing. the storm system that brought it, it is moving offshore and going to stay that way. tomorrow we stay dry but now we have another small weather system heading our way. it's a small clipper system, not heavy precip in it but come @rc early sunday morning we could see showers out of it. right now temperatures in the 30s, mostly mid to upper 30s across the area. so if you are about to head out soon keep in mind that all of these numbers will be dropping below freezing tonight and that's going to give us the threat of the icing. so, as we go overnight the feel likes temperature with the

neighborhood. tonight we know the co-worker of the victim is at the center of this case. he is the last person to be seen with the victim at this restaurant before she was found dead. right now philadelphia police want you to take a cloáq look at this photograph of their person of interest. who goes by the name noel. he was working in the basement kitchen of lee's cafe and bistro with the victim. 54-year-old thoung nguyen before she was found dead. it happened last night when a food order never came up, the owner went down to the basement to check, and discovered her dead of a deep cut to her throat, the kitchen was in disarray and noel was nowhere to be found. we can tell you at least five other restaurant customers were here having dinner as this crime occurred. seems áhey and several other employees 0en the dining room level of this restaurant never heard any of the commotion as the murder unfolded in áhe kitchen in the basement here.

police are now hoping for tips from the public. live in south philadelphia, george spencer, "nbc 10 news." the los angeles police department says retired officer has turned over a knife that he claims was found on the site of o.j. simpson's former mansion. according to investigators the lapd became aware of the knife over the past month but may have been found several years ago. o.j. simpson was acquitted of murder in the deaths of nicole brown simpson and ronald goldman. no matter what the knife reveals he cannot be retried in the deaths. >> double jeopardy would be in place here so we could not charge mr. simpson with the homicide that he's been charged with because he's been acquitted. >> two years after he was acquitted a civil jury found the former football star liable for the two deaths. he is serving 33 years behind

somebody hit by a car. we'll bring you more details as we get them. new information on a fiery crash that killed five co-workers in the lehigh valley. police have identified two of the victims, rosa marine and mercedes castillo. that are car slammed into a tractor-trailer on 222 at the route 100 split in upper map gunky township. all five victims worked at quality packing specialists inter'ational. police say they will use forensic testing to identify the f the victims.ng to identify the from the delaware bureau a court house worker is charged with theft and misconduct after accused of stealing from the court house. police arrested marriana la boy for the crime they say happened over several months while she worked as a case manager. investigators say la boy took money from the court of common pleas clerk office. she is free on bail.

new concerns are raised about the drinking water near a pair of closed navy bases in montgomery county. the bases in question are the naval air station joint reserve base willow grove and the naval air warfare center in warminster. three congressmen have written the navy suggesting the sites may be the source of cancer causing chemicals found in nearby wells. the navy says it's received that letter but not made a comment. now to a battle over princeton battlefield. several groups have joined to face part of a revolutionary battlefield from being developed. the save princeton coalition wants to derail plans for the institute of advanced study to development.nit faculty housing it would be built on land adjacent to princeton battlefield state park. ground. fire emergency, the approaching deadline that could leave a troubled town without a

>> the snowfall from this morning that melted through most of the area so now we have puddles on the sidewalks and the roadways and temperatures tonight will be dropping below freezing. so we have the threat of ice to develop tonight and into early tomorrow. keep that in mind as you are on the roadways. be careful and early sunday we actually have showers moving i. maybe some rain and snow showers with our next small clipper system. i don't think it's going to be for everyone so i'll show you that in a second. aside from that, we look ahead to next week. a warm-up coming in the 70s, it's going to feel like spring seven-day forecast in a minute. 36 in allentown now, so cold out. 39 philadelphia, mid 30s south jersey and delaware, and all these numbers will be dropping these nuhrough ill be dropping tonight. closer to about 11:00 we should be around freezing through the philadelphia area, after that we stay below freezing even into 7:00 tomorrow morning, so we do expect areas of ice to be

developing along this timeframe with those wet roadways and especially areas that each have the slushy spots around new jersey and delaware where we saw earlier more snow than the rest of the area. now the system that brought it is moving away and going to be taking a lot of clouds with it. so clear skies tonight. then into the weekend and this next clipper system is going to start to move in. that wouldn't be until overnight saturday into early sunday. right now it's a fairly small system. we don't expect heavy precip with it but could be giving some of us snow showers. here is a look at future weather. we do stay dry but temperatures will be dropping down. so into early tomorrowñr mornin we'll be below freezing across pretty much most of the area if not everyone. then tomorrow afternoon we stay around the mid to low 40s but dry, then we go into sunday morning, there you see the system approaching so looking at possibly snow showers north and west of philadelphia. maybe a rain/snow mix through the philadelphia aerks but shouldn't amount to much through sunday afternoon we start to clear out and dry up.

now as far as thq snow totals are concerned we could see less than an inch farther north and west with this. so again it's not a big system. could see a rain/snow mix across the philadelphia area. again this is not looking like several inches at this point. tomorrow as well. we look at the warm-up. monday, tuesday and wednesday, the warm air moves in and each day next week it's going to keep getting warmer, the warmest day looks like wednesday, we'll be in the low 70s, and it will feel like spring and it will come with sunshine so it's going to be pretty perfect. tonight feeling like winter. 28 the low in philadelphia, 22 north and west, tomorrow cloudy skies, mid to low 40s so cloudy and cold day to start your but we're dry tomorrow. a few early showers sunday. we'll be watching those closely. then we see the warm up. 72 on wednesday, just a beautiful spring weather. new at 6, their fire department is out of service and now a last minute deal has kept the troubled delaware county

bureau from losing its closest fire company that would respond to an emergency. the colwyn mu(ááák they are not out of the woods yet. >> reporter: megan and ronald are neighbors in column wynn possibility of losing their fire company. >> i have five kids. what's going to happen. >> i think that's crazy. i have a small child, my parents are kr'd of getting up there in age. it's a safety issue. >> reporter: they live across from the colwyn fire company but months t borough has been relying on darby firefighters for response. that might change. >> it's hard to justify to the residents of darby you're paying a fire tax and darby fire patrol 2, but those srssr services are free for another town.

>> the manager says colwyn should pay liability and workers compensation and part of the fire tax if it wants services. dar!y even put it in writing. this letter dated february 4 and served as a 30-day notice. >> our services aren't suspended, t$ey did reach out but it was like the last hour where they reached out to us. we're not -- i'm not going to put the residents of colwyn in danger. >> they said no one reached out. it was the state as part of colwyn's economic development plan. darby agreed to a two-week extension. might have the closest fire service. >> i wouldn't want to the i'm not being paid. >> maurice is the president of the colwv' fire company. it's been out of service for months. three former members face theft charges for misusing funds. >> we had bad apples. you don't throw the whole bushel away. >> he says they have paid the
