how i would get to school. >> it's a lot more expensive to take amtrak. >> new jersey transit workers set to walk off the job first thing sunday if no deal is reached. that's just a day and six hours from now. commuters are bracing for the worst as they work to hammer out an agreement. >> a strike would have a major impact on our area more than 100,000 commuters use new jersey transit to get into new york city. many of them originating from the stations at trenton, hamilton and princeton. a look at 30th street station, new jersey transit's atlantic city line runs between here and ac, that might not be the case sunday. cydney long is tracking developments. >> do commuters have hope? >> reporter: i can tell you some are optimistic crossing fingers that both sides come to an agreement. others nervous though, they say the sheer volume of commuters that rely on these trains to get

into manhattan or other areas of new york city and home is three times what the extra bus routes can handle. >> i don't know. very scary. >> reporter: this man realizes his ride home on new jersey transit rails today may be his last for a while. >> at this moment you got your last ride home as far as you know. >> i know. >> reporter: this man fears he won't have a ride or be late for an important week of file exams. >> i'm pretty angry but it is what it is. i feel at the same time it wasn't certain. they were still deliberating. >> reporter: two commuters on two lines but rely on new jersey transit monday through friday. nearly 30 years commuting he's never experienced a work stoppage. >> what are you bracing for? >> more pollution, it will be huge delay. i have to drive at least 25

minutes to go to the bus station. i don't know whether i'll get parking. >> reporter: he knows added bus lines can't absorb the riders who will be stranded by a strike. >> coming back is another problem. 42nd street bus station, the bus stop at new york, that will be huge lines. >> i don't know but i hope that they get what they are asking for. >> reporter: corinne doesn't drive. she is spending the weekend in atlantic city and says if the rails go silent she will be stuck. >> that wouldn't be good. >> reporter: new jersey claims that governor christie is out of the state most of the week on his wedding anniversary for allowing it to happen whand they say will be on the streets of north jersey into new york. nbc new york learned that governor christie while he is not in on the negotiations he is in the same building with negotiators and ultimately the governor holds the purse strings once a deal is reached.

the thieves, she came in just before 5:00 a.m. on wednesday morning. by that time two guys helped themselves to tvs, video games and anything else they wanted. >> i'm so thankful nobody woke up. i don't know. i don't even want to think about what would have happened if one of them woke up and came down. >> another mom who didn't want to be on camera told us the same thing. two families victimized by these men. this is the neighborhood video from early on march 9 when police say these men broke into donna's home. they were first seen across the street. their faces may be covered but someone may recognize them. this guy wears puma sneakers and has a distinctive walk. >> he walks you'll notice i don't know if it's a waddle or a limp or he just had something in his pocket. >> the thieves walked past one of the victims who had fallen asleep in a down stairs room and they stole a tv. they also say the thieves swiped a hyundai right from the

today's funeral at the ronald reagan presidential library was full of hymns, bible readings and loving tributes. both of her children eulogized their mother. nancy reagan will be buried on a hilltop along side her husband president ronald reagan who died in 2004. to decision 2016 coverage. in the last hour an ohio judge granted a request to let 17-year-olds vote in the swing state's presidential primary, the state allows teens who will be 18 before the general election to vote tuesday. but ohio's republican elections chief had contested the rules. donald trump has picked up an endorsement from another former rival today. ben carson threw his support behind the front-runner a week after suspending his own campaign. carson becomes the second former presidential candidate to endorse trump along with new jersey governor chris christie. for complete decision 2016

remains on message as he approaches his may 2 racketeering and fraud trial, less than a week after voters will cast ballots in his bid for re-election. and today his new legal team promised they can be ready despite the quick timeline after the congressman's previous team asked to withdraw because invoices were going unpaid. >> i'm deeply grateful for this firm but that's i think what i'll say at this point. >> are you paying them? >> i am paying a cost for representation. >> reporter: in court his legal team claimed legislative immunity should shield the congressman from many of the charges. the judge called that defense motion, quote, somewhat thin, and even suggested one could see that it may be filed for purposes of delay. but for now, fattah's primary focus seems to be on winning his re-election. >> i'm working very horde making

scene. one person was shot while sitting in the car outside a bar. we are working to find out more and we'll bring you new information as soon as we get it. no complaints. it's still nice out. it's not in the 80s but it's still plenty lovely. we're in for a crisp and clear night tonight. tomorrow we get the bonus of springing forward that means sunday we get an extra hour of daylight and the days get longer, straight through june. monday morning, not so nice. we have rain rolling in. we'll talk about that in a moment. let's look at temperatures around the area. 45 degrees in mount pocono, there you are going to want to bundle up. 55 degrees at the speed limit in quakertown and allentown as well. up to 62 as you head to wilmington. 64 right in the city right now. and 62 in mount holly. now, the trend not going the way we like. at this time of the year we like it to go up, but look at where

we started. record setting temperatures on thursday, up to 82 degrees, today 68. tomorrow down by 1 and sunday on the cool side. remember, our average for this time of year should be at about 51 degrees. so we are in very good shape if you like the warm weather. we're looking at our radar picture now. all the sweeps indicating we have nothing but dry conditions. the wider satellite picture shows you we have high clouds beginning to push into the area. just dotting the sky. it's a lovely day and sunset tonight is taking shape to be very, very nice. this is the moisture that caused all of that flooding in louisiana and sections of the southeast. now it's going to work up into our direction. first bringing some thicker cloud cover and then some moisture probably sunday night into monday. is there a chance of rain on the parade, yeah, a possibility. but most likely we're going to see the spot showers begin as we head to the dinner time hour on sunday and into monday morning's commute not so good because it is going to be soggy.

throughout the ep tire region as we get off to work and school monday morning first thing at 6:00 in the morning. it's going to push out of the way. i'd keep the umbrella handy all day. you're going to need it. we're going to see clearing from west to east as we head through the latter portion of the day. tonight we'll see clear and colder conditions, 40 in the city to the north and west 34 degrees or so. sunset at 6:03, just a few minutes ago. and as we head into tomorrow, 64 to 67 is the range, clouds increase in the afternoon, southwest winds 5 to 10 miles per hour. now, as far as staying light later here is what we have for you. tonight's sunset we mentioned three minutes after the hour of 6:00. but look at this, by sunday night, 7:05, that's more like it. let's take a look at the seven-day forecast. as we look ahead to the next four days, sunday night into monday we see the rain shower activity. wind those clocks forward saturday night. tuesday we warm up.
