nbc news has announced that romney will appear with kasich at two stops in ohio and this is video of kasich's stop in youngstown. within the last hour, romney was not there yet. florida, illinois, missouri, north carolina and ohio all hold primaries tomorrow. florida, illinois and ohio are winner-take-all states and florida is the big prize with 99 delegates at stake. and marco rubio is campaigning hard in his home state. this is video at a meet and greet in jacksonville. rubio says he must win his home state of florida to keep the conservative movement from getting hijacked by front-runner donald trump. ted cruz is on the campaign trail in illinois this morning and he's the second delegate in the delegate count to trump at this point and needs every win that he can get to stay competitive. former president bill clinton is also on the campaign trail this morning and he's also rallying voters for his wife's

winds gusting near 25 miles an hour right now and 48 degrees in philadelphia and when you factor in the light rain or drizzle around and the wind it is a damp and chilly start through the week and 47 wilmington and 49 in millville and we're not going to warm up much from what you see on the map here as we go through the afternoon. highs will be only topping out at 50 degrees and we'll pretty much stay in the mid to upper 40s and a lot of heavy rain has moved through and the only thing we're seeing now is along the shore some light rain and atlantic city and up top sea isle city and that continues as we go into parts of burlington county up near trenton and also some very light rain and sprinkles around the philadelphia area and parts of bucks county and just because the rain left does not mean we'll clear out today and a lot of the clouds will stay locked in and we'll still have a chance for isolated, lighter showers tonight and it will carry into tomorrow morning and this is future weather and now we're look at 5:00 and the evening

this all started on 49th and walnut streets and ended a short time later at penn and green streets in germantown. nbc 10's monique braxton is live at the store where the baby was taken in west philadelphia with the latest. this could have ended badly and now the search is on. >> reporter: that's right, vai. we have good news for you, though. the baby has been declared okay and checked out by doctors at st. christopher's hospital and let me show you where the dad parked. according to the employees here at the store, the dad pulled up there by that fire hydrant. detectives are hoping surveillance cameras on the corner of the store you see just above captured the entire incident. that's what the hope is. investigators say the dad walked into this 49 stop food market at 49th and walnut, but he left his child strapped into a car seat inside the car and his keys were in the ignition. investigators say someone jumped into the driver's seat and sped off. that unknown thief, according to

investigators then let the child out miles away at 66 west penn in germantown, a neighborhood. police also say somehow the dad received a call letting him know where his child was dropped off. investigators are hoping the thief and missing vehicle were captured by surveillance cameras here outside the store. in the meantime, the missing car is described as a white town and country minivan. right now the thief remains on the loose, and as i mentioned, we just learned the child has left the hospital with his parents and it's en route to headquarters with detectives. they're on their way to southwest detectives for a full interview. we will stay on top of this investigation and let you know the very latest. live for now in west philadelphia, monique braxton, nbc 10 news. hundreds are gathering right now to say good-bye to the new jersey state trooper killed in the line of duty. a funeral mass will begin in 30

minute for trooper sean cullen. nbc 10 south jersey bureau reporter cydney long is in burlington county. cydney, people have been arriving all morning long. set the scene for us. >> reporter: vai, indeed they have. as you might imagine, family, friends and mourners just people in communities that trooper cullen served. as you remember, he worked for several local police departments before becoming a state trooper. you can see here the motorcycle and there was a procession, a motorcade earlier today and off to the right you can see state police out here as well as local law enforcement and then thousands of law enforcement from across the country. already we've seen pennsylvania, delaware, indiana and california and today's dreary weather very much matching the somber mood and heavy hearts for the third line of duty death for new jersey -- for this new jersey police family in ten months. trooper sean cullen was a beloved son, a fiance and father

to 9-month-old seamus, and his soon to be wife-were expecting their second child and his brother had followed in his foot steps to become a state trooper and sunday afternoon for his public viewing. today an entire brother and sisterhood of law enforcement from across the country coming to comfort his family and honor his memory. it was one week ago monday night cullen was rushed to cooper medical center by helicopter after being struck by a passing motorist as he responded to a two-car crash and a fire on 295 in west stepford. the driver who struck him did pull over and has want been charged. now lieutenant governor will also be here in attendance and you can see the blue ribbons here outside the church. this as lawmakers plan to introduce legislation to name new jersey's move over law after cullen and lieutenant governor guidano just texted me a few minutes ago. she's running a couple of

the heavier area of rain has moved through and still the chance of light showers today and even as we go through the start of tomorrow. so damp and chilly today. even the temperatures even by 1:30 this afternoon and only in the 40s and we do still have the chance for sprinkles or light showers by the evening commute today so by about 5:00 p.m. and temperatures still in the mid to upper 40s and we'll keep that wind around, too. damp and chilly today and tomorrow will be a little bit warmer and a better warm-up by the middle of the week and more rain chances also before the weekend gets here and i'll show you all of that with the seven-day forecast coming up. we'll see you then, sheena. parts of the south are seeing historic flooding and homes are under water. at least six deaths are being blamed on the storms hitting the south and nbc's miguel almaguer has more on the damage. >> reporter: this morning arkansas residents are assessing the latest damage. a series of tornadoes sweeping through the state sunday.

this mobile home lifted off its foundation, the family inside including a baby barely making it to safety. >> i grabbed the baby mattress and held it over us and that was kind of it. >> overnight, hail and lightning, in missouri, serious flooding. the start of a new week and there's new misery through parts of the south. >> we are out of the situation, and i hope it doesn't get a lot worse and there may be any promises. >> fast-moving historic storms dropped torrential downpours on this rain-ravaged region for days and in louisiana almost 5,000 homes are damaged and roads and bridges washed away, cars in neighborhood swans and near the pearl river hundreds of homes are still threatened. >> those river levels are really high and there's nowhere for all of that water to go. >> the water is now receding, but only after the louisiana national guard rescued 3300 people from flooded

neighborhoods and even animals were ferried to safety. the most widespread non-hurricane flooding ever seen here and this morning the sabean river is surging. >> we've never seen the river go up this high and i've been here for 26 years and it's the highest i've ever seen. >> the town of deweyville completely cut off. 1200 residents ordered to evacuate. it could be days before they get back home. across much of this region, the rain has finally stopped, but the threat isn't over yet. >> that was nbc's miguel almaguer reporting and the pile-up in north carolina and 20 people were hurt after more than 100 cars were involved in this pile-up in burlington. a part of the highway was shut down for hours and investigators still aren't sure what started the crashes, but they believe the wet roads may have played a part. a stolen police car leads to a high-speed chase and ends in gun

fire in southern california. the chase went in los angeles county at speeds of up to 100 miles an hour and it ended when another police cruiser ran a stolen car in an alley. moments later shots were fired and the suspect was killed and it's not clear how the suspect was able to steal the cruiser in the first place. in las vegas, motorcycles are becoming a big problem in that city. take a look at this scene yesterday. at least 11 riders were detained by police after doing wheelies in the middle of the road and they were running red lights and some raced away from officers when they tried to stop the motorcycles and police say packs of bikers have been forming over the last few weekends to take over the streets. turkey is striking back after a deadly suicide bombing in the capital. you're looking at the aftermath of the suicide blast. dozens more injured. turkish police believe militants

carried out the attack. they arrested two dozen suspects in raids this morning and turkey's air force is carrying out air strikes against kurdish targets in northern iraq. survivors of the first attack by islamic extremists are describing scenes of confusion and fear. the terrorists gunned down defenseless beach goers at a resort town. the attack left 16 dead including the six gunmen. witnesses say they were told to say the name of allah or they were shot. officials have been bracing for violence like this after similar assaults by al qaeda in neighboring countries. college basketball fans in our area have a triple delight this friday. villanova, tempel and st. joe's. at 12:40 and that is followed by temple and iowa. they tip-off at 3:10. in spokane, washington, friday night at 10:00.

villanova's players had a muted reaction to the number two seeded selection. first weekend of the tournament the last two years and nova held the number one ranking in the country of course, earlier this season. as for temple, they were the last team left out of the big dance a year ago and they got out as the tenth seed this time around and if temple and nova both win they'll face each other in brooklyn on sunday and don't forget. the big dance is coming to philly. the wells fargo center is hosting the sweet 16 and the elite eight rounds of the east regional from march 25th to the 27th. meantime, someone leaked the marke ncaa tournament bracket before the selections were announced and the ncaa officials say they were investigating that leak that turned up on twitter while the selection show was airing. the ncaa regrets what happened and is taking the matter seriously. noticed a dent in the rail and hit the emergency brakes just before the derailment. five train cars turned on their sides after they derailed. this train runs daily between los angeles and chicago. there were 128 passengers and 15 crew members onboard. and blueberries are considered a super food and now they may also help fight alzheimer's. two new studies from the university of cincinnati found blueberries can actually improve memory and cognitive function in older adults. patients with mild cognitive problems who took blueberry powder for four months which is equal to a couple of berries a day show improvement in brain function and scientists say the food is loaded with healthy antioxidants. st. patrick's day is thursday and how much green do you put out in order to celebrate the green. a new hub finds people will spend $4.4 billion on st. paddy's day and that averages to
