11:02 pm
this is why we do live tv at 11:00 at night. now, for sunday's timeline, i've pushed any snow back. 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., it's mostly rain if it moves up here, with just wet roads. maybe a mixture north and west. in the afternoon, a wintry mix could change to some snow in philadelphia. and all snow north and west. and if anything is going to accumulate, it would occur during the evening hours. but even that is questionable at this point, as the main storm may be developing too late to produce significant know, having an effect on the snow totals, too. i'll update that with the rest of the seven-day in a few minutes. >> okay, glenn. and stay ahead of the weekend weather with the nbc 10 app. you'll find the latest forecast there, plus live first alert radar. other news now, a police officer is in the hospital at this hour, after a chase ended with a crash. sky force 10 above the scene here on north kenwood drive in

yellow, between master street, turner strategic, and ridge avenue. and let's go back to glenn. we're getting ready for some wintry weather this weekend. >> yes, and some big changes. put down what you're doing, pay attention, because there are significant changes, since just a few hours ago. we continue to track those showers that have moved through. you've got a colder weekend, and we do have snow that is in the forecast, but not as much as we were predicting earlier. 53 degrees, look at the wind, northeast at 14, gusting to 23 miles an hour. that's going to be bringing the cold air in overnight tonight. you can see it's down to 42 in allentown, 32 in mt. pocono, already. 46 degrees in trenton. 43 in mt. holly. so, those temperatures that we saw in the 60s today, that's kind of a thing of the past. it's not going to be anywhere near that warm this weekend. you can see huge areas of
11:18 pm
moisture. it's disorganized. we have one batch to the north and tremendous amounts of rain and thunderstorms and severe weather down south. this area in kentucky, this is racing eastward, and this may actually affect us during the day saturday, or at least a part of the area. here's the latest computer models. you can see the rain coming in, delaware and extreme south jersey and it could change over to some snow, maybe even a burst of heavier snow. temperatures will be above freezing, so it should melt. and most of the rest of the area stays dry. and now watch what happens on sunday, with some of this latest data. not a whole lot. the storm developing offshore does not develop quickly enough, so it allows the temperatures to get into the 40s and it keeps the rain or snow farther to the south and so our chances of significant snow have really gone down. so this storm is moving a little
11:19 pm
bit too far to the east, too weak to be producing significant snow. so, the latest maps showing less than one inch of snow in delaware and south jersey. some of that could actually occur late saturday and saturday night. and the 1 to 3 inches north and west of the philadelphia area, that's just the possibility now, there's a possibility that we don't even get that much. and the timing of it is generally pushed back on sunday and if there is accumulation, it would be more likely to be in the evening on sunday. so sunday morning looks wet at worst, sunday afternoon, may just be wet, as well. clearing and colder tonight, 36 for lows in philadelphia. 29, north and west. during the day tomorrow, we expect the clouds to thicken, a chance of some light rain or even snow in parts of delaware and south jersey.
11:20 pm
temperatures only in the 40s. and the temperature in the 40s on sunday, with just a chance of rain and snow now, it's going to be windy and cold monday, and into tuesday morning. and then we really warm up into the 70s by next thursday. >> looking forward to that. well, think local and give local, that was the theme of tonight's garces foundation benefit at the loews hotel. the garces foundation works to benefit the lives of philadelphia's immigrant community. making me hungry there. marshall? coming up, march madness becomes march sadness, as one team gets pushed out of the big dance. villanova's one step closer to the sweet 16, while the temple owls, they are left with a bitter aftertaste. highlights and reaction, coming up.

wait to end their careers. >> it hasn't really hit me yet that this is my last game and other seniors' last game. it will hit me when i get back to philly. >> it's tough. like he said, it hasn't hit me. it's going to be hard to deal with. >> it's villanova who has the chance to make it out the first weekend since the first final four run since 2009. i'm john clark for comcast sports net. >> st. joe is playing its first round game as i speak. they lead cincinnati 41-40 at the half. watching the end of the temple game, reckless on the drive. yields to no one. okc, up 6 at the half. this time from the outside, his lead-leaguing 13 triple dugt. he had 20, 15, and 10. phillies and pirates in spring training action.

so this weekend thing is changing? >> yeah, that's right. and the temperatures should stay well above freezing during that whole time. so even when some of the thing is snow falling from the sky, it should be melting as it falls. so it shouldn't inconvenience too many people for too much. less than one inch is our latest forecast, for much of the area, perhaps 1 to 3, just north and west of philly, if we get a little bit of bands coming in. and there could be a little bit of snow in parts of delaware and south jersey, even tomorrow, late in the day and the evening, but for sunday, things should be put off a little bit later. that secondary system may not be
