it could bring rain and light snow tomorrow. taking a look at market street you could see wet weather. good evening. i'm denise nakano. let's go to violeta yas. >> you can see lingering rain and maybe snow showers toward lancaster county. that will continue to dive to the south and east, again, mostly diminishing as it pushes to the south and east. perhaps a lingering rain or snow shower but mostly quiet and temperatures still above freezing. we're at 40 in philadelphia. again, even the colder spots are above normal with the exception of the poconos, which, again, is quite far from any precipitation. let's take a look at the precipitation. it's going to keep things quiet. you can see through the early

randy gyllenhaal joins us live in the digital operations center. randy, there's a local connection. >> yes. it was sent here to philadelphia to trump's sister who's a federal appeals court judge. this is a new round of protests that experts say could help trump win the nomination. the dwelliueling protests getti more tense by the day. in arizona, punches and kicks at the trump rally while protesters block traffic outside. in manhattan they marched in front of the trump tower. the anger on both sides is fueled by trump's charged rhetoric and political analysts say it's likely a calculated move to win support. >> the protests are coming out to embolden trump supporters and they come out in bigger numbers. >> he needs them energized and

angry. >> donald trump's best bet to get to 1,200, but doing that like playing with fiefrmt his sister received a threat after his son got an envelope with white powder. there's now a real concern. >> actually this will probably help donald trump rather than hurt him so don't be surprised if you see this same kind of charged rhetoric and protests and lots of noise, but he needs that if he's going to get to trump 37. >> and analysts say the upcoming primaries this tuesday will determine whether the voters are turned off by the increasing dark rhetoric and all the protests. leave in the digital center, randy gyllenhaal, "nbc 10 news."

new at 11:00, a 20-year-old died after police say he fell off a room. it happened near the university of delaware campus this afternoon. investigators tell us the man is from massachusetts, but he's not a university of delaware student. it's not clear what caused him to fall. also new at 11:00, flames erupt at a new castle apartment complex displacing several families and nbc 10's aundr aundrea cline-thomas has more. >> reporter: the smoke could be seen from blocks away. he sprung into action. >> i started beating on doors, fire, fire, smoke, everybody get out. >> reporter: everyone was out, but the flames that started in a third floor unit quickly spread

nearly a half century of history came crumb bling down in about ten seconds today in north philadelphia. two of the blumberg apartment buildings at 23rd and jefferson were levelled the morning as part of the philadelphia's housing authority plan to modernize the complex. for some who once lived in the apartment complex, today was bittersweet. >> it was kind of sad to see your home being destroyed. but it will be built back up much better. >> the implosion will make way for a citywide plan for more

true for a drexel graduate who died in a plane crash in europe last year. there was a third planet tribute festival. friends and family of emily selke cared out a lifelong dream of putting on a music festival. last year emily and her mother dried when a pilot purposely crashed a passenger plane into a mountainside. tonight philadelphia mayor jim kenney joined hundreds of local dignitaries to raise money for students. the celebration raises money for the local chapter of the united negro college fund. was among those honored for those work in the community.

nbc 10 and comcast are sponsors. and the sights of lat p, america, stole the city for the 10th annual congresso gala. well, spring officially starts at about 12:30, but it's still feeling very winter-like out there. it's still very cold and on top of that we're tracking rain and snow as it heads into tomorrow. in particular, tomorrow night into early monday. now, as we head into the middle of next week, we are talking warmer temperatures so they're not too far off on the verizon. lancaster, 41 degrees right now. in reading, 31 degrees. midville toward wildwood and

georgetown at 38 degrees. now, we've got cold air to our noekt and east and well off to the north and west, so we've investigate a couple of cold days to deal with before we get the warmer temperatures i mentioned toward thele of the week. we have lingering rain and snow showers. that was sort of the first batch to move through. they're going to organize off the coast and lift to the north and east. not looking to impressive, but that will be coming together during the overnight hours. here's sunday. 10:00 a.m. not a lot going on. that starts to list to the north and with temperatures well above freezing we're talking rain. it's tomorrow night after the sun sets the temperature starts to drop and you can see the band of snow start to develop. that's where we're looking at the potential for accumulating snow. it looks like that continues right around the morning rush on

monday. we could be looking at slick spots where the snow is going to continue a little bit longer and the snow is going to clear out but it will head in. again, we're looking at a pretty broad swath. again, with that lingering and with the snow falling and intensifying during the overnight hours, we could see some accumulation, up to an inch closer. north and west, an inch. this is going to be an event along the i-95 corridor. just a reminder it's going to be cold and windy and a wet snow. with that coming down at a fast clip, we could see that accumulate on the trees and power lines and we want to mention we want to watch for slick spots. for tonight, lingering rain and snow shower with temperatures around the freezing mark. colder north and west. remaining cold with rain first and that snow developing after the sunset. again, give yourself some time to get around on monday and
