problems. as you can see, you can see across the river and if it was snowing harder you wouldn't be able to see that far. cape may it's a very wet snow, the streets are wet, the temperature just barely above freezing. the radar looks pretty ominous there as snow falling over much of the area, but it's mostly on the light side. very light blues, darker blues would indicate a little bit heavier snow, but around philadelphia it's very light right now. we have a couple little bands of heavier snow that could produce a little bit of accumulation, but we're really not seeing very much. the visibility would be lower if the snow was heavier and we have a two-mile visibility at millville which really isn't that low and that's the lowest visibility on the map that we're seeing. the lowest temperatures on the map that we're seeing are still above freezing. so i don't think we'll be seeing any real serious problems for the morning. we have the snow, during the
11:03 pm

evening making sure this storm does not intensify because that could cause some problems for the morning rush. so far that has not done that. the snow a little bit heavier in new jersey than elsewhere but it's still mostly melting on the roads and will likely continue to do that. we do have a big midweek warmup, so it's actually going to be feeling like spring this week. the visibility not all that bad as we look across philadelphia even though it's snowing. 36 degrees. the visibility 8 miles. it can still snow for a long time and not accumulate with an 8 mile visibility. the wind gusting to 21 miles an hour. it is now snowing in pottstown, the temperature has dropped a little bit. atlantic city snowing, so the snow closer to the coast is heavier. it's 32 degrees in wrightstown. if the snow got a little heavier the temperature could drop a couple degrees and you've got
11:18 pm
some slippery issues, but it should be very isolated first thing in the morning. it's 36 in philadelphia. so it should not drop to the freezing point. even chester springs can't square above freezing. other areas north and west well above freezing because the snow is that much lighter there. a little bit heavier in dover at 32. atlantic city airport 33. it's very close, but it's not quite strong enough storm to make this snow heavy enough to knock the temperatures down and to cause the snow to stick. so we continue to monitor it. it looks more ominous than it really is, because most of this is on the light side. a little bit heavier than some of these darker blue bands and we have one right near the shore that's a little bit heavier now. we have to monitor to see if this does intensify over the next couple of hours. it only has a few more hours
11:19 pm
left before the whole thing moves out. the visibility in chester county down to 3 miles. it could accumulate if it lasted ten hours like that. mount holly visibility has been among the lowest, so they're getting a little bit of accumulation there, again, mainly grassy surfaces. philadelphia's visibility eight miles. dover still too much for snow to accumulate. millville 2 miles and yeah, it's snowing across all those areas and will continue for at least another few hours, but it is just so light. and the roads of course are warm. the temperature has not dropped below freezing in a while. and there we go. by 7:00, 8:00 a.m., everything is out of here. the sun comes out and starts drying things out. now it's going to be chilly and windy during the day tomorrow, not exactly feeling like spring, but we are going to be seeing
11:20 pm
improving conditions. so as we go through the rest of the night, more snow in new jersey, but ending west to east, and 7:00 to 9:00 a.m., the last of it right at the coast. so the snow mainly in new jersey ending, 32 degrees for the low in philadelphia. 28 after it's all over north and west. clearing, windy and chilly during the day tomorrow. wind gusting to 35 miles per hour. the 7-day forecast, a cold start tuesday and then we start the warmup and look what happens by wednesday. 67 degrees. then 70 by thursday. 70 by friday as well. so this may be the last gasp of winter on the first day of spring. but tomorrow's going to be chilly. >> so tomorrow morning for the commute you don't think it's going to be much of an issue. >> no, i think some very, very isolated slick spots and we'll dry out quickly once that sun comes out. thank you. we're following breaking news out of south philadelphia.

11:49 pm
later in the week. things are going to change pretty quickly. it's not going to stay like this all week. we do have snow now and the heaviest of it is in new jersey and will continue to be that way for the next couple of hours, but most of it melts on the roads. there could be a few slick spots in the driveway, sidewalks, as we get into the morning. now, the sun doesn't rise until about 7:00 a.m., so before sunrise is mostly where there would be any slick spots. a midweek warmup, significant warmup with temperatures close to 70. visibility is still decent in philadelphia. that does not scare me when it comes to snow accumulation with the visibility is 8 miles it could snow for a couple of days and not accumulate at that rate. 36 degrees in the northeast at 10 gusting to 21 miles an hour. here's where it is accumulating a little bit. this is cape may. you can see the snow flakes by the head lights, but it's not even as heavy as it was 15
11:50 pm
minutes ago. so it's got to come down harder than that to really accumulate especially considering the temperatures are marginal. it's 32 in washington township. it's been above freezing for a long, long time, so it's going to take the temperature to go down a little bit more than that to create any kind of icy conditions. 33 degrees in oxford. we'll be watching you through the morning rush just to make sure everything is okay. 32 degrees in dover. 32 in millville. 33 degrees in atlantic city airport. so yeah, it's pretty close. we're already seeing the back edge of the snow here coming into the north and western suburbs and you can see where the heavier snow is. that is right down toward cape may. the lighter snow around the philadelphia area north and west, even across the river in much of new jersey, but that's some darker blue. that is significant snow falling right along the garden state
11:51 pm
parkway if there's going to be accumulation, that's the area most likely. visibility down to 2 miles. mount holly, 2. it's lower visibility than the rest of the area, but that's still not that low indicating that the snow is not that heavy. the storm has not intensified enough to produce significant accumulation. and at the same time, everything is going to be moving out as well. so by morning rush, for the most part, not only is the snow moving out, but we also have the sun coming out and that's going to help dry things out pretty quickly. so the snow mainly in new jersey ending from west to east as we go through the rest of the night, and it's clearing during the day. it's going to be a fair amount of sunshine. a fair amount of wind. it's going to dry things out and temperatures getting into the 40s. chilly for this time of the year, but not as cold in the

11:56 pm
there is a relief for our players. especially our seniors. the younger guys, they haven't been around. they haven't seen it. the older guys, you know, they watched it while they were being recruited. they lived through it here. so our senior class, this is special for them. >> how do the seniors get through this and play so relaxed and so comfortable? >> i think the fact that we dealt with it all year. people asked us all year, we didn't fight it, we said yeah, it is what it is and we would talk about it and say yeah, let's hope we get to that chance where we have to deal with it. so once we got there it was kind of a relief that okay, now we get to do something about it. all year we couldn't do anything. >> congratulations. seven years, first sweet 16. >> it's been a long time. >> and now you get third round questions. >> we like those questions. >> back to you. >> all right. thanks. well nova nation descended in brooklyn. nova alum bryan westbrook. he may have dominated on the
