right now at 11:00, a pennsylvania pilot arrested and accused of being drunk right before a flight to philadelphia. authorities say the american

airlines pilot failed two breathalyzer tests and was acting strange. the pilot's arrest forced american airlines to cancel that flight. it was supposed to bring passengers from detroit to philadelphia international. nbc 10's randy gyllenhaal gets reaction from passengers who had to find new flights. >> reporter: many passengers headed on vacation for spring break. all forced to scramble after their pilot was arrested on the tarmac. they were supposed to arrive here in philly just before 9:00 a.m. but american airlines flight 736 never even got off the ground in detroit. at first, passengers were told it would be a brief delay. >> 15, 20 minute delay. you know, it's a seat problem. >> reporter: mitchell and his mom were hoping to fly to the dominican but when they looked

out their window they saw police cars. >> he was handcuffed. >> reporter: their pilot arrested on the tarmac. officials say he was acting drunk and failed two breathalyzer tests. a sharp-eyed tsa agent saw him acting strange before he got into the cockpit. >> everyone was stunned. >> reporter: american airlines told nbc 10 this is a serious matter and we are assisting local law enforcement and the faa for the investigation. we apologize to our customers for the disturbance to their travel plans. the pilot who lives in pennsylvania could face charges. it's against faa rules to drink eight hours before a flight or have a blood alcohol level above .04. passengers are furious. >> i want to be compensated for the trouble. >> reporter: we have reached out to law enforcement in michigan to get details on the arrest.

after a lot of sunshine today expect cloudy skies tomorrow and you could run into showers as you wrap up your easter plans. we have the holiday forecast. we're not talking about a lot of rain here. >> no and a good portion of the day is going to be dry. it's mostly after sunset tomorrow. if you are heading back into town you may want to watch out for that. upper 30s in millville. 35 in allentown and we will increase the clouds tonight as well. but it is dry tonight and for the start of easter as well. it will be cloudy with temperatures on the chilly side. low 40s at 7:00. if you are headed out to church or to see your family we'll keep it dry but chilly through 9:00 a.m. before the temperatures reach the lower 50s at the lunch time hour. one disturbance off to the south for showers sunday night but tracking that disturbance well out across the high plains and

now to the latest on the terror in brussels. two more americans are among the victims of tuesday's attack. nbc news confirms that justin shults and his wife died in the airport. they were waving good-bye to stephanie's mother when it happened. the couple lived in belgium since 2014. two other americans, a brother and sister from new york also died in the attack. at least 31 people were killed and more than 270 others were

hurt. the faa is investigating a possible drone sighting near a north jersey airport. a flight screw reported an unmanned this morning. the plane was traveling to monmouth when they spotted that aircraft. a safe drone sighting bringing treats to kids in south jersey today. a drone dropped candy filled easter eggs in cherry hill this morning. and kids rushed to scoop them up. the impacting your world christian center hosted the egg drone drop. villanova is heading to the final four and nbc 10's tim furlong is live louisville with fans who are celebrating tonight. tim? >> we found anthony and his wife. they are out visiting her family because he is from louisville and anthony is from lancaster. he is a villanova guy.

that is continues to provide that northeasterly flow, keeping things cooler on the shore and we'll see clouds increase as well. we are tracking this disturbance in the high plains bringing us more wet weather for monday. clear skies in pottstown. 45 in atlantic city and wilmington and more cloud cover compared to areas north and west. we keep things dry tonight. clouds on the increase tomorrow. sunday morning low 50s on the cloudy side but dry out through. in the evening hours showers start to increase south to north. at 7:00 some of those are just making their way into southern areas. much of the day is looking dry. the showers are more numerous sunday and monday. with temperatures remaining in the 40s. as we head into monday morning a brief lull before a cold front

moves in from the west. that is not bringing many a lot of precipitation but will mark additional showers for monday afternoon and that is going to clear up for the monday evening rush. it's not looking like we'll be seeing any widespread rainfall at any point just scattered showers over sunday night and monday. temperatures have been coming  down. low 60s this afternoon. temperatures for tomorrow looking pretty similar and we do start to warm up early next week but temperatures are look moderate just a little bit above normal until the second part of next week and temperatures could once again reach the 70 degree mark. increasing clouds tonight. mid-30s north and west. and that's going to be the case as we get your easter sunday underway. remaining cloudy through the course of the day with the showers holding off until the overnight hours. showers continue sunday night and into your monday. it will be windy on monday as well with temperatures in the

low 60s. high pressure for the middle of the week. that marks the return of the sunshine and the temperatures remain relatively moderate the next couple of days. what a day in sports. the dream continues for villanova as the wildcats hang tough with kansas and are on to houston and the final four. we pick up the action before the half. chris jenkins, a heck of a tournament. a big game shooting the ball last game. no nova up at the break. a five-point lead. kansas last chance and they turn the rock over. great nova defense as they get the victory, 64-59. the wildcats play oklahoma in the final four. they defeated oregon 80-68. steve mason making his fifth straight start.

the orange and the black enter the day tied for the second wild card spot. number 17 couldn't cash. right now the score is 0-0 in the third period. the red wings hosted the penguins. pens power play this impacts the flyers chances. this breaks a 1-1 tie. the wrister on the right side. kessel keeps it. with the goal and four assists, pens win 7-2. that is good for the wild card hopes. a win is a win. and the islanders two points up on the flyers. in overtime the islanders get a 4-3 victory and a four-point lead over the flyers for the first wild card. the sixers in portland. he will sit tomorrow against the warriors. sixers in search of their first road win since january 20th.

a philadelphia community got together today to make a mural to life. the philadelphia federal credit union hosted a community paint day for the mural in fish town. people tackled different sections of the painting. it tells a story of the neighborhood history. we are here with the last check of the forecast. >> not near you will as sunny as today. if you are heading out to services in the morning it will be chilly but temperatures in the afternoon similar to this afternoon and showers will be moving in sunday night and as we head back to work on monday but again nothing widespread. >> that's nbc 10 news for now.
