darby township and aundrea cline-thomas live there now with the breaking details for us. aundrea, what have you found out? >> reporter: neighbors said they told a number of police respond to the apartment, saying they didn't know the woman. she kept to herself. and she had only lived here for a few months. now, five hours after receiving the call, detectives were still at building g of the new orleans park apartments on south avenue. that's where they found a woman naked in her bathtub. and one of the units, the medical investigator is investigating is blunt force trauma and strangulation. >> i feel sad. i never seen her and why this happen. >> reporter: now, it's unclear when the murder occurred. neighbors tell me they didn't hear a thing. reporting live in upper darby, aundrea cline-thomas, nbc 10

news. new at 11:00, a live saved. a good samaritan stopped a man from taking his own life this morning. you can see the man perhaps there fighting with his wife. he threatened to jump on to the tracks. a witness pressed a call button and notified septa to cut power to the tracks. no one was hurt. to decision 2016 tonight. donald trump is backtracking after saying he believes women who get abortions should be punished. trump's comments which angered people on both sides of the abortion issue came in an exclusive interview with msnbc. listen. >> it has to be some form of punishment. >> for the woman? >> yeah. has to be some form. >> trump responding to a question of what should happen if abortion were outlawed. nbc 10's randy gyllenhaal live in the studio now with reaction from both sides of the abortion debate. randy, no one you spoke with agrees with what trump

so-called abortion pill. the new requirements allow women to take the pills later in the pregnancy, decrease doctor visits a and lower dosage. the changes are now in line with what's standard in most states. others like texas and north dakota require physicians to follow guidelines set in the 1990s. some say those guidelines were outdated. the villanova wildcats take their march to victory to the south tonight. this was the scene as the men's basketball team arrived in houston, texas, about an hour and a half ago. in two days and about 19 hours, nova will take on oklahoma in the ncaa national semifinals. students and other fans sent the team off in style this afternoon. nbc 10 on campus as the players boarded a bus for the airport on the way to houston and for the seniors it was a moment that can never be rivaled. >> some of the best fans in the country. number one in the country.

was riding in a car with his aunt this morning on centerville road and a man in a silver car cut them off and then stopped in the middle of the roadway. the teenager began to argue with the man and police say the driver shot the teen in the leg and sped off. we're told that teenager is going to be okay and will need surgery. the shooter hasn't been caught. well, here's an area you will want to avoid planning to drive through west philadelphia in the next couple of days. one lane is getting by in the 4900 block of walnut street. crews are doing emergency repairs there and the entire block of walnut will be closed from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. tomorrow. philadelphia mayor kenny with a firsthand look at the condition of a northeast philadelphia rec center. the mayor joining council woman parker on rising sun avenue. the mayor proposed a tax on soda and other sugary drinks to help pay for upgrades in renovations of rec centers and parks across

virus includes parts of our area. the cdc posted a map showing they may have spread from the southern part of the u.s. to the midwest and northeast. take a close look, it includes all of delaware and new jersey and most of the pennsylvania viewing area. but the cdc says this does not mean the mosquitos will cause spread of the disease here. zika is suspected of causing birth defects in babies. it was no walk in the park today for the women. instead it was the beginning of training season for a very important milestone. local residents taking part in the upcoming susan g. komen three-day walk laced up today and starting to practice today. they have to walk 60 miles in 3 days. >> yeah. we are going to be talking three days. friday, saturday and sunday. and it's roughly 20 miles per day so you have to train for that. >> 26th annual philadelphia race

for the cure beginning on may 8th, mother's day. well, we are not going to be as cold tonight as we were last night and early this morning. so at least that will be a nice start to the day tomorrow. and then by the afternoon, 70 degrees temperatures back in the forecast. it's going to be really nice day. it will get windy again, though. going into friday, still warm. still in the 70s but now we're talking about some rain. and that could start as early as the morning commute. don't forget the umbrella. after that, we have a cooler weekend forecast for you so i'll show you in a second. overnight tonight, we are going to stay in the 40s for most of the area. and then look how quickly we get into the mid to upper 60s by lunchtime. you will really start to notice that warm-up and then topping out in the 70s. so here's a look at those 70s today. we had 58 degrees. normal high is 58 degrees and today we were seasonably where

we should be this time of the year. tomorrow, low 70s. by friday we could be near 80 degrees in some spots. nice warm-up. but a brief warm-up because by saturday we will be back down into the 60s and even colder going into sunday and the wind's going to come back, too, even tomorrow afternoon. nice and dry locally. the rain off to the west weexpe it on friday and will be here for the morning commute for the end of the week. tonight, we stay dry. tomorrow we stay dry. temperatures through most of the area if not everybody by 8:00 should already be in the 50s. so a quick warm-up. look at the afternoon. 3:00 p.m. nice and dryment some areas in the low 70s. so a nice warm day. and then we have some showers moving in overnight into early friday. this is friday 8:00 in the morning. so remember before you walk out, grab the umbrella. we expect showers for the morning commute friday. look at the temperatures as the rain is here.

we'll be in the 60s. it's mild with the rain. through the day, some scattered showers. i think breaks in the rain and the sunshine that will really warm temperatures up to about the upper 70s and then another line of showers moves in by 3:00 p.m. and we'll be dealing with some showers in the afternoon. can't rule out thunderstorms, either. that's in the forecast and by friday evening, looks to clear up. some of it could be lingering into early saturday. especially if you're further south of philadelphia. tonight, though, clear, not as cold. 45 for the low in philadelphia. 39 degrees, areas north and west. tomorrow, nice day and windy. it's warmer but the winds will pick up so later in the afternoon, gusting near 35 miles per hour. temperatures in the low 70s. and even warmer friday. regardless of the rain with thunderstorm chances there. upper 70s by saturday. some of those showers lingering to the south, 63. it's windy again. and then we go into the weekend. we're talking about -- sunday i should say. 48 degrees.
