the nbc 10 app. this morning they're investigating the discovery of a naked woman dead in a bathtub. they think that she may have been strangled. officers found the victim in an apartment building on south avenue in. they're investigating whether she was hit or strangled. some neighbors say she kept to herself and only lived in the apartment for a few months. >> i feel really sad because i never seen her, but still i'm sad like why this happened. >> neighbors tell us they didn't hear anything indicating any trouble. and investigators say it is unclear when the murder took place. happening today, leaders in delaware county are taking steps to fight the delaware epidemic in our area. it's a recovery program where

8 minutes after 4:00. a cool start this morning, but we're in for a big warmup during the day. the temperatures soar in much of the area, getting into the 70s today. it will come with gusty winds and sunshine. tomorrow we're tracking showers and possibly spring thunderstorms rolling through the area. right now the temperatures have cooled down a little bit. 43 degrees but not as cold as yesterday when we saw it. 30s in north philadelphia. 5 2. 53 in atlantic city. sun rise coming up before 7:00. we'll see enough sunshine for these readings 40s and 50s into the 70s. pottstown, 42, 43 in trenton. and a few scattered clouds. the clouds are thicker to the west. those clouds be moving in tomorrow. for today, 63 in the pocono mountains. 70s, low 70s for allentown,

it's 4:13. here's a live look. workers in atlantic city voted on a temporary plan to avoid a shutdown. that calls for paying employees every 28 days instead of every two weeks. we should get the result of that vote this morning. if approved it should help with the longtime problems and avoid a shutdown. also yesterday governor chris christie made another call for the state to take ore atlantic city, but city leaders are urging its residents to voice their opposition to that plan. >> nothing like hearing from the voices and mouths of the people that it's affecting the most. >> our independence to govern

locally is as stake. >> atlantic city says it will run out of money by next week. the governor says he'll only agree to a loan if it involves a state takeover. governor tom wolf is making another push to raise minimum wage. earlier this month wolf signed an executive order that ensures workers under his jurisdiction will make no less than $10.15 an hour. now he wants legislators to pass an increase for every worker in the state. right now the minimum is 7:25. new jersey, $8.28. delaware is $8.25 an hour. the cdc posted this new map showing the mosquitos may have spread from the southern part of the u.s. to the midwest and the northeast. the new area including all of

going to give us a big warmup before any of those clouds move in, before the strong gusty winds start. we're starting off with temperatures in the 40s and 50s. 51 in philadelphia where yesterday the temperatures were 11 degrees colder at this hour. so good start to the day. the winds are already blowing above building level. that's where it's a bit stronger. it will take time. we will feel them into the afternoon. just a light wind so far. below 10 miles an hour. a bit stronger north and west in reading and at the shore. and the winds, well, they'll really be increasing as we go into the lunchtime hour. futurecast showing wind gusts possible and even stronger where they will be topping 40 miles an hour today. few scattered showers around but thick clouds produced the storms last night in the deep south are coming our way for tomorrow. there's our line. heavier showers moving in through mississippi and western tennessee right now.

95 southbound to the vine street expressway, still a 13-minute trip. you can see no problems in either direction and not a lot of problems on the road. this is over on route 70 right around kings highway, not a lot of cars in the area. the roads are dry, which is a good thing. as for mass tran sichlt we're running on time. everything is running close to on schedule right now. there is a newer construction layout on route 50 northbound right around route 49 and that's scheduled until july. a pooch from pennsylvania is receiving some national attention. meet chopstick. he's made milkbones' dog who changed the word. colin has muscular dystrophy.
