videos and photos of the best of the tournament and there's also a link to your get nova national championship gear. and villanova is hot but the weather's cold. nbc 10 on broadway street in center city and people bundled up against the april freeze. >> let's bring in nbc 10 meteorologist sheena parveen. supposed to be spring, right? >> yes. sometimes mother nature doesn't care and cold again tomorrow morning. we still have the freeze warning out and temperatures in the 20s so the freeze warning already begun. started 10:00 and temperatures have already gotten so cold. 26 in millville. 30 in allentown and these numbers will keep on dropping tonight and we expect widespread 20-degree temperatures. the freeze warning around the philadelphia area surrounding suburbs, new jersey and delaware until 10:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. you'll be waking up at least most of you with temperatures in the 20s.

so the bus stop forecast, bundling the kids up. areas north and west, you'll be in the mid to low 20s. new jersey and delaware, areas will be in the 20s. but other spots possibly in the 30s. cold start to the day but before the week's over, some heavy rain, maybe thunderstorms, too. i'll show you the timing coming up. >> all right. see you in a bit. federal prosecutors builting the case against the congressman are now turning attention to his wife. >> for the first time, she may be held criminally liable based on a recorded conversation to an shurns company. aundrea cline-thomas asks the congressman about that. >> reporter: we caught up with the congressman at a forum and not fazed by the new allegations. and he talked to us to give us his side of the story. congressman fatah is making a pitch to voters. federal prosecutors are making a case to a judge.

a new motion seeks to seek a recorder of former anchor renee into evidence and alleged bribery scheme and money exchanged for political positions and power. >> what we saw was an untruth offered by two federal prosecutors in the federal courtroom. >> reporter: the motion is on the sale of the porsche. prosecutors say the transaction never happened and fatah disguised a bribe as payment. but then told the insurance company she was keeping the car in her garage. >> are you surprised they're talking about your wife now in this filing? >> no one's talking about my wife other than the inaccurate misleading statements that was provided by government attorneys and the question is, why would they say something inaccurately in a court of law? >> reporter: she has not been charged. first time, the new motion says she could be held criminally

liable. a suggestion he husband scoffs at while both continue to send a message not only in court but in the re-election campaign. would you tell your voters concerned about the charges in terms of your credibility as a congressman? >> i think the voters will tell people a lot about the work i've been doing when they cast their votes. >> reporter: now, on facebook, she posted a message from her attorney that said, in part, motion is inaccurate. she maintains that she legally sold the car to a friend after the exchange of a title and bill of sale. she also went on to say that she's not surprised by the timing of the allegations and it comes as she's taking more high-profile position in the husband's campaign just weeks before the election. reporting live in drexel park, i'm aud cline-thomas, nbc 10

news. to decision 2016, the wisconsin primary is in the books and the headline is about the size of the victories. >> let's begin with the democrats. senator bernie sanders is the projected winner tonight as expected. but hillary clinton still finished with 46% of the vote keeping her well on track to win the nomination. >> for the republican senator ted cruz is the projected winner with 52%. donald trump and governor john kasich finished second and third respectively and the results are close enough it appears there will be a major battle for the gop nomination. nbc 10 national correspondent steve handelsman takes a closer look. he needs it most. the 1,237 delegates needed to win the republican nomination. >> reporter: donald trump who hit a rough spot stumbling on abortion, angering many women,

minimized the need to win wisconsin. >> i'm millions votes more than anybody else. we talk about delegates which i'm by and away number one and the votes are more impressive. >> reporter: voters in wisconsin lined up past poll closing time. >> fill in the top circle that verify that you can vote. >> reporter: students qualified for new i.d.s to cast ballots today helping bernie sanders win the wisconsin democratic primary. the last caucuses and primaries. >> reporter: though he remains a mathematical long shot for the nomination. hillary clinton moved on to new york where the primary's in two weeks slamming trump and cruz. >> saddling prejudice and pair know yeah is not the new york way. what all of them believe. >> reporter: tonight what cruz is saying louder is that he will be the gop nominee. but cruz admitted again tonight he's still trailing trump by so

many delegates he might have to take his fight all the way to the convention. i'm steve handelsman, nbc news, washington. all right. so let's take a look at where the delegate count stands on both sides tonight. >> donald trump still leads the republican race with 750 delegates. cruz is in second with 499. while john kasich follows with 143. they need 1,237 delegates in order to clinch the republican nomination. here's where the democrats stand. hillary clinton is ahead with 1,692 delegates. bernie sanders has 1,027. to win the democratic nomination, 2,383 delegates are needed both democratic candidates in philadelphia tomorrow. >> bernie sanders has a rally in the evening. he and hillary clinton will also address union leaders and members at the pennsylvania afl-cio convention in center city. clinton speaks tomorrow. sanders on thursday. the convention kicked off today

at the sherton philadelphia downtown hotel. the local union leadership says pennsylvania plays an important role in the election but they haven't decided which candidate to back just yet. the sanders campaign operation continues to grow in our area. nbc 10 in north philadelphia tonight for the opening of a campaign office. organizers spoke to supporters how to get involved in the race. we're just weeks away from the primaries in our area. voters in pennsylvania and delaware head to the polls april 26. new jersey voters make a choice june 7th. a lead scare at a local school where students are told not to use the water fountains. do you know where your tax dollars are going? city workers pulling in the biggest paycheck. why it's somebody you never heard of and don't want to meet. and what does it take to be

new at 11:00, philadelphia's mayor is top official in philadelphia but not bringing in the biggest paycheck. this honor goes to the medical examiner, according to new data the city just released today. the m.e. pulls in $260,000 salary. police commissioner ross with the second biggest paycheck, $240,000 a year. third place goes to deputy medical examiner who makes $231,000. and then mayor who's salary is $217,000 a year. the mayor said it's the data for transparency. also new at 11:00, an

elementary school of montgomery county wants to clear up concerns over the water tonight. officials say testing shows high levels of lead in the water coming from a cafeteria faucet. the county health officials think the results may not be reliable an running more tests and just to be safe meantime the school shut off all the drinking fountains. the new results are expected on thursday. a week after the nbc 10 investigators revealed money meant for lead remediation sent on salaries and pensions governor christie is taking action. he promises to spend $10 million to fight lead poisoning. the nbc 10 investigators serious living with lead followed the money and found new jersey's lead remediation fund raided and depleted and lead-based paint poisoned thousands of new jersey children. state lawmakers and tried to pass legislation for money back in the lead fund and christie

vetoed it. tonight there's a compromise. >> there was a problem presented to the governor. there was a concern in the legislature. he's moving forward in a positive direction and we are going to continue to do more to make sure we are dealing with the issue and effective and aggressive way. that's all that matters to me. >> we want to do more and it's the right thing to do to protect families and children. >> new jersey will spend about $20,000 to get the lead paint out of a single home at that rate, this money will pay to make 500 new jersey homes lead free. and you can see our entire series of reports living with lead including the one that exposed new jersey's raided lead fund right now on nbc10.com. back to the weather. another freeze tonight. right, sheena? >> yep. another freeze tonight. temperatures down in the 20s by tomorrow morning. some areas are already in the 20s. so you'll need the heavy coat tomorrow morning. another freezing start to the day. quickly start to warm up. at least by lunchtime and then

after that, and then thursday. heavy rain and thunderstorms move in. so you might want to change your winter coat for an umbrella before the week is over. by friday, the villanova parade is taking place. good news 0 the timing of the rain, clearing out by then. 38 philadelphia. some of the suburbs in the 20s. that's where we have the freeze warning. 26 in millville at the moment. so all the areas shaded in purple, philadelphia, surrounding suburbs, new jersey and delaware until 9:00 a.m. in the morning. temperatures will be below freezing for several hours. so this means it could be damaging sensitive vegetation like the spring flowers that have bloomed and cover them or try to take them inside if they're potted so they're not damaged. overnight tonight, though, temperatures drop. we stay dry and even tomorrow we stay dry and good in the afternoon. not as windy or cold as today. temperatures like he low to mid-50s.
