duct taped and raped in west philadelphia. she managed to escape and get to police, but her attacker is still on the run. neighbors tell us they heard the victim screaming for help when she escaped from a car this afternoon. she said someone daukted her on 49th street where she was eventually able to free herself about two miles away at south 57th street and larchwood avenue. >> now police are talking to them. police are still working through some questions. police are still looking for the man who raped a woman at gun point.

>> aun unforgettable archl. police investigated evidence after a 20-year-old woman escaped from a car following what's described as a horrific 12 hours where police say she was kidnapped and raped. >> i heard a lot of screaming. she was like get off me, get off me. >> i heard her screaming out here. i come to the window, ai see a black car all the way down the street. and some girl over there. >> neighbors saw the woman walk on the sidewalk across the street in the middle of the day. she was in rough shape. terrell told us his man got a closer look. >> a shirt on, bloody face, duct tape on her ankles. >> she started running a little bit. she got to the corner and the guys are like -- she scared them. >> philadelphia police say around 4:00 a.m., a man believed to be 23 years old pointed a gun at a woman and forced her to get in the car at 49th street at lancaster avenue.

the vick till toll officers she was duct taped then physically and sexually assaulted. she escaped from a black car with a garbage bag over a rear window, then flagged down a car for help at 3:00 this afternoon. >> when it's so close to your home, it's like wow. >> neighbors say live on a peaceful block, so you can understand their concerned. nbc 10 news. >> in 2016, the countdown is on to primary day. voters in pennsylvania and delaware have just three days to make up their minds before the elections on tuesday. today, both democratic presidential campaigns visited our area.

let's take a closer look at the philadelphia area. temperatures today reached just below the 70 degree mark in society hill. we're at 56, 57. the lower 50s there towards chestnut hill. i want to jump forwards the north and west where it's gotten quite a bit more chilly in the 40s. patchy frost in the northern and western suburbs, be uh for the most part, lows in the 40s tonight and for 7:00, 42 degrees, by 9:00, right around lunchtime, talking low 60s. it's going to get even warmer on monday. and i'm also tracking our next chance for rain early next week. i'll get to that coming up in just a few minutes.

a military drill. but things don't go as planned. throughout the video, three vehicles break loose and plummet to the ground. the clip went viral on social media after being posted. the army is investigating what caused the accident and who took the video. >> well, we had that rain move through last night and this morning. but it cleared up pretty nicely for us this afternoon. and with that, we've got dry conditions in the forecast for tonight. though it is going to be a bit on the chilly side for some. in particular, some of our northern and western suburbs. the temperatures could be falling into the 30s in some spots. i'm thinking for the most part, though, we will be staying in the 40s. we have high pressure in control. that's going to bring us plenty of sunshine as we head into the second part of the weekend. it's going to be a little bit warmer as well. it looks like temperatures will be right around the 70 degree mark. i'm also tracking our next chance for rain. the good news it looks like

that's going to hold off until the first part of next week. we do have more nice weather in the forecast. i think we might be getting a little spoiled by now. tchs a little on the cool side in particular north and west of the city. the radar looking clear as can be. no wet weather in the forecast. rain is long gone and we've got plenty of dry weather in place across the eastern 2/3 of the country. dry weter from the northeast, expae extending all the way back into the plaps. we've had temperatures remain above normal really through much of this week, with some changes. 73 on thursday, upper 70s on friday. this afternoon, we were right around the 70 degree mark as we head into your sunday. monday we will be closer to the

80 degree mark. temperatures around the 70 degree mark. west chest erk 67 tomorrow with bright and sunny skies. newtown also at about 67. again, temperatures a little warmer. right around the i-95 corridor. bethlehem, 67. tomorrow, 68 degrees in redding. through sunday, bright and sunny skies in philadelphia. it will once again be a little cooler for some of our shore points temperature there. of course thanks to that wind direction. >> it looks like it's going to be tuesday. we're tracking another system
