of the hour. jennifer mendez and lane stowe. >> we met on the plaza of the "today show." i had been in manhattan with a friend of mine. who had never been in manhattan. right around 10:00 we decided to go back by 30 rock. they were doing a live taping of the "today show." >> i happened to be there at the same time. because i had been in the city with my mom and daughter for spring break for the week and we decided we wanted to go over and see kathie lee and hoda. and they were interviewing kelsey grammer live on the air. >> very sarcastically i said to my friend, oh yeah, my loiflong dream to see kathie lee gifford. >> i couldn't resist the opportunity to say i'm so glad i was there while he realizationed his lifelong dream. we started talking. >> we realized how much we had in kbhon. >> we exchanged phone numbers. >> i think the first night we talked three and a half hours. >> he was living in pennsylvania at the time and i was living in
