nbc 10. we found 30 shell casings on pine lane. at least one of the two surviving victims is being treated at this hour. what do we know so far? >> reporter: i've been going back and forth with police and they confirmed that one of the teenagers died from the injuries and another of the teenagers is here at the hospital with critical injuries. and doctors are work on an older woman. check out video from pine and tenth street in chester. police roped off that intersection and officers were going in and out of a store there. cones were all over the place. they marked the spot where police found 30 shell casings on the street which was wet from this rainy night. there was an suv with a back window shattered. one of the husbands of a witness spoke to us. listen.

>> she said it was a lot of gunshots. a lot. and two minutes later i heard all -- >> reporter: details of what happened out there. why were there so many bullets flying at the intersection? detec detectives are trying to find witnesses and video they can review. but police are not confirming any arrests as part of this. tonight officials are trying to determine what led to an underground explosion near 30th street station. crews had to close market street for hours. tonight it's back open. this is video of the scene this afternoon. officials say the explosion was caused by an old lead cable that corroded and started to smoke. tonight all lines are operating normally. two cases of indecent

exposure today. each time someone saw a man performing a lewd act on himself in plain sight. nbc 10's andrea kline-thomas joins us with the reaction of runners. >> reporter: they expect some things to go wrong because is it a big city but it just reinforces the need for a new initiative that is just getting started that is aimed at keeping the trail safer. even on a rainy day, runners hit the trail for their regular exercise. just before 7:30 this morning a man riding his bike called police after seeing a man exposed, engaging in a lewd act alone in a plain view. >> i think it's unacceptable. >> reporter: 20 minutes later police get another call, this time a runner saw another man with his pants down involved in a lewd act.

but according to police he ran up these stairs toward jfk boulevard. >> that's terrible. i don't know. i've always felt safe. but -- >> reporter: incidents like this are the reason why frequent users are creating a trail watch group. >> we're going to be a force of, you know, good on the trail. we're going to be eyes and ears on the trail. we'll be watching for things like there that happened today. >> reporter: they advocated to having these signs put up. they have coordinated to use to tell police where to go. >> try to be aware of my surroundings and response comes on time. >> reporter: the goal is for the weather to be the only hindrance to coming out and not fear. its the user's responsibility to keep the trail safe. >> this is a beautiful thing we have here and it's important that these type of things are available for everyone. it's free to be here and people

should be able to use it without fear. >> reporter: the second training for the trail watch group is going to be taking place on wednesday. the goal is to get 150 people involved. reporting live along the river trail i'm andrea clin-thomas, nbc 10 news. a rainy night across the area and still coming down in some spots. this is a live look at citizens bank park. the phillies managed to play through. here is the nbc 10 first alert neighborhood forecast and people could run into minor flooding in the next few hours? >> it has been a rainy night. here is a look at the center city skyline. it has been cloudy and foggy and been rainy. so much so we have a flood advisory through 1:00 in the morning. what this means is where we see the green shading we have picked up an inch to inch and a half of

rainfall. let's look at the totals here where you see the blue is where we are seeing the heaviest rain in the last couple hours. but an inch to inch and a half here on either side of the i-95 corridor. we are looking at additional rainfall as we have plenty of green across the radar. you can see the darker shading along the philadelphia area extending north and westward where we are looking at the steadiest rainfall. from wilmington and trenton looking lighter. but southward we have seen some lighter rainfall over the course of the last couple hours. the good news is after midnight this will finally start to break up and ease a little bit. it's not going to clear up completely. here is 10:00 in the morning on sunday. still dealing with showers but it doesn't look like it will be quite as wet as we head into tomorrow. we'll take a closer look at sunday and warmer temperatures

for the memorial day weekend. barbaro's owner watched a horse die on the same track. two horses died at pimlico today. the 4-year-old filly threw her jockey to the ground. he was euthanized on the track. the horse was bred and owned by gretchen and roy jackson. barbaro shattered bones in his hind leg after the preakness. he was euthanized months later. new at 11:00, a bethlehem postal carrier is arrested for groping three women as he delivered their mail. he is charged with indecent assault. it happened at two state police facilities. the victim say he touched their breasts as he was giving them

mail. a show of support for falling police officers and their families. nbc 10 at the philadelphia police survivor's benefit in northeast philadelphia. it's a fundraiser that benefits the families of police officers killed or injured in the line of duty. two firefighters are in the hospital tonight after one of them fell through the roof of a burning bucks county home. crews were called to tennis avenue in bensalem this morning. one of the firefighters fell from a third story roof and the other had tightness in his chest. both are in stable condition. a grand reopening at an iconic south jersey landmark nearly destroyed by fire. the columbus farmer's market is fully rebuilt and today held a special celebration complete with live music and activities for the entire family. fire ripped through some of the retail space and destroyed

several businesses back in 2014. >> it was a living nightmare not knowing how we were going to pay our bills and what was going to happen with insurance. we were out for ten months and it was hard. but the customers were supportive and we are so happy to be back. >> the market has 65 indoor stores and an outdoor produce room. up next, a growing business of cannabis. how local growers are getting into the budding medical marijuana field. the quest for the triple crown continues at the preakness. after being this close to first place, the bats are quiet again. we'll see if they could muster enough offense to beat the braves.

in south jersey friends and family came together to remember a teenager killed in a car crash after prom. they gathered for a funeral for the 15-year-old in cumberland county today. michaela who you see on the right and her classmate died in a car crash just hours after their prom last weekend. we spoke to her grandmother. >> she was just so bubbly. so loving. you know? full of life. full of life. >> state police are investigating what caused the deadly crash. up next on nbc 10, targeting the taliban. details on a drone strike today with sights set on a terror leader.

the pentagon announced the u.s. conducted an air strike. one official believes that he was killed in the drone strike authorized by president obama. it will take more than a year to get medical marijuana in pennsylvania up and running. but local businesses are making moves. a business conference gathered today in philadelphia. randy gyllenhaal takes us there. >> reporter: now that medical marijuana is law in pennsylvania, the scramble underway to prepare for patients as budding entrepreneurs plant

the seeds. >> it's our dream to provide relieve for residents. >> reporter: the canna-business seminar today. he hopes to grow and manufacture marijuana leaguely in his hometown. >> we are farm heavy locally. we would set up a warehouse. >> reporter: the state is handing out 25 grow licenses and 50 for dispensaries and it's expensive. applicants need up to $1 million in capital with a proven track record. >> we are operating a medical program. so people are not supposed to get ahold of it won't get ahold of it. >> reporter: but the industry grows in uncharted waters. many banks refuse to get involve making this a cash only operation. but there is excitement for what is to come. >> this industry is brand new and the evolution is constant. that's the biggest challenge.

>> reporter: randy gyllenhaal, nbc 10 news. ♪ plenty of pride on display in new hope today. the town hosted its annual pride fair. locals joined visitors from around the country for the new hope celebrates signature annual event. despite the weather the crowds came out for the spring festival. people had their rain gear out as they checked out the booths on walnut street. and in wilmington this evening, this all around dreary day. let's look ahead to tomorrow and cross our fingers for sunshine. >> we could see peeks later in the day but for the first part of the afternoon we will be in the cloud cover and we do also have the chance for spotty showers but nothing like we saw over the last couple of hours. current conditions, still rainy, philadelphia, delaware and south jersey. let's take a closer look at

temperatures. philadelphia, 53 in society hill, 54 in pens port. and it's also been a little bit on the windy side for parts of delaware and south jersey. wildwood gusting to 18 miles an hour right now. but that will be diminishing for the next couple hours. here's a live look at the radar. plenty of green on there. it has been rainy the last couple hours. let's look at the steadier rainfall right now in bucks and montgomery county here around whitemarsh around the norse town area we have heavier and steadier rain. we have heavier rain here across parts of new jersey and extending through parts of northern delaware as well. as we go to kent and sussex counties, cape may and atlantic county as well, the rain more light. we are seeing mostly drizzle and that is breaking up. we'll see that trend over the

next couple hours. here's 9:00 a.m. still looking at rain especially to the south and west. through the course of the afternoon it's going to be a complete washout. it won't be raining all day but we will keep the chance for showers in the course of the afternoon. but the temperatures will come up a little bit and the moderating trend will continue into monday. monday looking less cloudy than what we are expecting for sunday. an we see the chance for spotty showers and a thunderstorm as this trend is going the take some time -- this pattern is going to take time to push out of the area. sunday still looking cloudy with a potential for a few showers. monday, more sunshine, still looking at a chance for showers but it's going to get warmer. with that we're looking at much warmer temperatures next week. looking at the potential for '880s for the holiday weekend. monday, tuesday, low 70s. looking at the chance for spotty

winners. it is the first time since the 1993 that the kentucky derby runner up won the preakness. the cavaliers trying to push the raptors to is brink of elimination. all torrent toronto in the first half. look at the replay, tristan thompson was the one that hit him. the refs make the appropriate adjustment. kyle lowry, the short jumper. raptors win 99-84. the cavs lead the series 2-1. the sharks looking to go up 3-1 on the blues. the blues shorthanded. but the first of two scored in the game for him.

a final check of the forecast. what a washout today by not so much tomorrow. >> it has been raining for hours and we have a couple of hours left. a lot of green on the radar. we have a flood advisory that remains in effect through 1:00 in the morning that includes the philadelphia area and much of the i-95 from delaware extending up to the trenton area. still rainy for the next couple hours and it will ease overnight and looking at showers tomorrow but not a washout. that's nbc 10 news for now. the season finale of "snl" is next.
