reporting live in king of prussia, deanna durante, nbc 10 news. >> thanks. as we ed closer to the dnc, city leaders are looking to a new approach for cracking down on nuisance crimes. the city council committee passed legislation that would allow police to issue $100 civil fines instead of making criminal arrests. you might remember back in 2000, police arrested more than 400 protesters at the republican national convention. but most cases ended in acquittals. now your nbc 10 first alert neighborhood weather with chief meteorologist glenn "hurricane" schwar schwartz. >> well, this time yesterday we were getting pounded with some severe thunderstorms. numerous reports of wind gusts of over 50 miles an hour. now we got sunshine, it's warm, but the humidity is down and the radar is pretty kbooquiet. 8 5 in philadelphia. our high was 86. we're in the 80s across much of the rest of the area right now.
5:47 pm
in philadelphia, itself, we have a temperature 85 at the airport. 86 in parkside. foxchase. winchester park at 85 degrees. nobody's hit 90 today. and hardly anybody's gotten any rain. we got one or two little showers around harrisburg, there's one little tiny one going over pottsville. i don't think it's going to quite survive the trip toward the pocono mountains. we have a bit lmore impressive air system across the great lakes, could trigger showers tomorrow afternoon and even more so on wednesday. but still, not as anything widespread as what we saw yesterday. here's the futurecast. we go through the evening. once again, you see just some isolated hit and miss showers mainly to the north. then we quiet down. then as we get the heating of the day tomorrow, tomorrow's going to be well into the 80s. we get some isolated afternoon showers again. there's just not that much around.
5:48 pm
most of us stay dry. then on wednesday, there could be some showers even in the morning hours but with that upper air system, some places could get a briefly heavy shower or even a thunderstorm on wednesday afternoon. for tomorrow, the best chance of any showers would be north and west of philadelphia and the farther north and west you get like in reading and allentown, showers in there. it's a mix of clouds and sun. not going to be an all day thing, if anything, it's going to be a brief shower, less than a half hour. devon, lansdale also with the chances of showers. lower chances as we head down toward the philadelphia area. not a 0% chance but it's not as high as some of these other areas that i put the shower symbols in. with the neighborhood weather, i get to choose which areas i want to put the shower symbols in because of the greater chances. and also i want to show you it's going to be warm. right on the beaches again. tomorrow, atlantic city, 86.
