but her campaign says she's still focused on tomorrow's primaries including the one in new jersey. nbc 10 national correspondent jennifer bjork lrland has the latest. >> the next president of the united states, hillary clinton. >> reporter: the air around candidate clinton e lrectrifiey candidate clinton e lrectrifi electrified she's at the magic number. >> according to the news we're on the brink of a historic, historic unprecedented moment. but we still have work to do, don't we? >> reporter: still, hillary clinton is focusing on the biggest prize in the tuesday elections. california. bernie sanders campaigning in the northern part of the state has a chance to win. she's setting her sights on the election tomorrow and looking ahead to november. >> we've got to tell the rest of the country that donald trump is not qualified to be president. he is temperamentally unfit to be commander in chief.

soon as they come if. so clinton now is going to face off against donald trump in november, but tonight the presumptive republican nominee is getting slammed by his own political allies. this all stems from trump's continued attacks on a federal judge in the trump university case. now, he claims the judge is biased because of his mentixica heritage and reportedly ordered surrogates to escalate the attacks on the judge. a few republicans have come out against trump's comments. we transition to breaking news out of chester. a 5-year-old boy is on his way to the hospital after getting shot in the chest. skyforce 10 was above the scene at a home on whitington place a short time ago. we're told the child was alert when taken to the hospital and he is in stable condition. police have not released any information about how the shooting happened. no arrests have been made. stay with nbc 10 for updates. now to an nbc 10 exclusive.

a man in handcuffs accused of taking a woman into the woods and assaulting her. only nbc 10 was there as police made that arrest. nbc 10's denise nakano is live in torresdale where this unfolded outside of a wawa. denise, what happened? >> reporter: well, keith, police are here guarding the crime scene at this hour. that incident, that attack happening just beyond the flashing lights. police say the victim did not know her attacker. nbc 10 is the only station there as police took a ccused of sexu custody. >> shocking. i don't believe it -- well, i can't believe it, i know it does happen but i can't believe it happened right here. >> it's surprising. because we've been down here for years. >> reporter: police say the suspect approached a 29-year-old woman outside wawa on state road in torresdale. s he asked her for a cigarette and forced her into a wooded area,

the man exposed himself, grabbed the victim inappropriately and tried to rip off her clothes. >> never met him before, never saw him before even in the neighborhood so this is a stranger sexual assault. >> reporter: the woman struggled with the suspect and broke free. she called police and an 8th district officer found a man on a bicycle matching the suspect description two blocks away. the victim positively identified the man as her attacker. police also found an area in the woods where the man appeared to live. >> a blanket seems like a makeshift mattress to makeshift little hut back there. with some wood and some jugs of water. that's being held as part of the crime scene. >> reporter: also taken into evidence, surveillance video taken from the wawa showing both the victim and the suspect entering the store at different times. the victim suffered bruises to both arms during her escape. reporting live in torresdale, denise nakano, nbc 10 news. skyforce 10 above something

you don't want to see. your house, knee deep water filling your garage. it happened to two different homes when a water main broke in philadelphia. nbc 10's brandon hudson is live in the fox chase neighborhood. brandon, i understand you talked to a woman who was inside her home when the water started coming in? >> reporter: keith, this woman was almost brought to tears when we spoke to her. some of the photos, invaluable, she's collected in the 18 years of living here are now gone. i want you to check out the damage where we are on hartnell avenue. the road below me is buckled, it's cracked. you can see it leads to the muddy mess here in this garage driveway. the homeowners in this duplex who don't have power expect this to be a long night. >> just continually went on and on. >> reporter: she showed us several photos of what she describes as a surreal experience. her and her neighbor's garages submerged in at least two feet of water. things she and her husband collected over the years now

damaged by a water main break. >> a lot of pictures are floating around down there. >> reporter: we first saw iva's flooded driveway on skyforce 10. by the time we met her, crews drained most of the water but it was hard for her to wash away the memory. >> the water came up to about here on me. there's a drain there, but the drain just couldn't handle the amount. >> reporter: she says a neighbor knocked on her door and alerted her to the water main break around 6:00 this evening. iva told us she saw three feet of water in the street. part of the road began buckling. >> coming out of everywhere. and it was just running down the street. >> reporter:%çiy despite the da, iva still has water. she says she'll meet with an adjustor and expects the city to help with the repairs. until then, she may not sleep well for a while. >> a lot of things that meant a lot to us were in there. >> reporter: one of the homeowners just told us insurance will come out here and survey this damage tomorrow. as well as another cleanup crew will be out here to help out. now, iva says isn't her first

time dealing with a damaged home. she says a fire burned her house down 20 years ago. live in fox chase, i'm brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. >> brandon, thank you. skyforce 10 was also above as firefighters battled smoke and blames at a family dollar in delaware county overnight. the fire broke out shortly before 9:00 on delmar drive and fulcroft. crews were forced to evacuate the entire strip mall. see all the crews out there. fortunately we can report no one was hurt. elsewhere, firefighter was injured battling this fire at a warehouse in philadelphia's brewerytown neighborhood. smoke coming from the u.s. mobile commissary. the building is near jefferson and north 31st. houses 20 food trucks that serve the city. it could impact whether they're on the streets tomorrow. also new at 11:00, two men are in the hospital following a stabbing at a wilmington apartment complex. it happened this evening at the windsor tower apartments on walnut street.

a witness says two men in their 60s or 70s got into a fight. one of them stabbed the of thor. police will only say the men did know each other. police need your help to find the person they say is responsible for killing a 78-year-old man last week. an arrest warrant was issued today for quintis clark. police say he broke into the victim's home before kills him. police have linked clark to joseph daly's missing blue van. daly was beating and strangled to death last week inside his theodore street home. members of the local american legion post talked about daly's importance to the community. >> he had a heart of gold. >> he would give you the shirt off his back if he had nothing else. and if you talk to any residents in the community, they'll tell you that. he was a hardworking guy. >> there's a $20,000 reward for information leading to clark's arrest and conviction. to the story a lot of bepeoe are talking about in philly, the investigation into who threw a beer bottle at ryan howard is

now in the hand of philadelphia police. police are waiting to review the surveillance footage of the incident inside citizens bank park. it happened after the tifinal o of saturday's game against the brewers. howard was not hit. you won't want to miss sports. charles barkley weighs in, wait until you hear what sir charles has to say about all this. speaking of sports, more than 30,000 tickets will be distributed for the two memorial services held in memory of boxing legend muhammad ali in his hometown in louisville later this week. the first of two services will be in islamic funeral prayer service held thursday at freedom hall. a public memorial will be held friday following a 19-mile funeral procession. one final trip through his old neighborhood, past his childhood home and down the street that now bears his name. >> i prepared mentally for many years that, you know, obviously if one day i was going to lose my father and that time has come and i think the whole world is sad. anybody who ever loved him and

mommy's right here. >> the mother of a 3-year-old boy who fell into the cincinnati zoo's gorilla exhibit will not be charged with a crime. after reviewing the evidence, the prosecutor said he is not seeking charges because the little boy simply, quote, scampered off. the child apparently climbed over the outer barrier before falling some 15 feet into a shallow mote.

a zoo response team shot and killed the gorilla to protect the boy. >> anyone doesn't believe a 3-year-old can scamper off very quickly, they've never had kids. because they can. and they do. >> the zoo plans to re-open its gorilla world exhibit tomorrow with a new taller barrier. . the boy's family is pleased with the prosecutor's decision. they released this statement that reads in part, "this is one more step in allowing us to put this tragic episode behind us and return to our normal family life." a warning for parents tonight. we have new surveillance video that shows the moments a woman kidnapped a baby from the king of prussia mall. nbc 10 went to court for this video so we could show you just how quickly it all unfolded. >> i want my child. >> reporter: mother, malika hunter told us in april it only took minutes. her son just 7 weeks old nearly

gone forever. >> i just want to keep him here with me. i just want to board up my door and stay in the house with my kids. >> reporter: minute one inside the king of prussia mall, late march. we see a woman approach. >> came up and just like i said, having a mutual conversation about the baby. start telling me about her baby. >> reporter: minutes later the pair settles down in the food court. the stranger picks up the baby and rocks him. at one point she clears the table, walks to a trash can and returns but moments later she steps behind hunter's back and bolts with the infant. cameras capture the woman race through the mall, past escalators, upstairs then walking out. this still frame went viral. the woman nonchalantly leaves in her car. >> why anybody's child, how could you do something so hurtful and evil? >> reporter: it took nearly five hours of frantic searching before police arrested this woman, cherie amoore.

the 7 week old safe and sound. the alleged kidnapper sobbed in court facing kidnapping charges. why she did it, though, still isn't know. >> you need some help. that's what she needs. >> prosecutors say they found no evidence amoore was pregnant bt told police she was and had no intention of kidnapping the child at the king of prussia mall. taking a right hand turn, talking about something a little different. celebrating the class of 2016. in newark new castle county tonight for the 2016 project search graduation ceremony. it's a one year school to work program. governor jack markell spoke at the event which marked the program's fifth anniversary. new at 11:00, a local police department has a challenge for the person responsible for hanging an offensive sign. this sign right here which reads, "only good cop is a dead cop."

it was found hanging on lincoln highway near pennsbury manufacturing in bucks county early this morning. police released a statement in response directed at that offender. that statement reads in part, "i know whoever did this did it out of ignorance. i would like to sit down with them and show them what we do as police officers so they can base their opinion at facts and not ignorance. i doubt they will do this because they hung the sign in the middle of the night like a true coward that i think they are." how about this now? a group of local first responders got a little creative today to make an unusual rescue. take a look at these pictures here sent in to the nbc 10 web team of firefighters rescuing some ducklings from a storm drain in northeast philadelphia. the firefighters, they used some duct tape and a shovel to get the little guys out. the entire flock was rescued safely and taken to a nearby animal shelter.

always amazes me firefighters in the jobs they do, the training that they're required to have and yet here they are rescuing ducklings successfully. all right. something a lot less cute now. neighbors are on edge in chester county following a bear sighting. take a look for yourself here. surveillance video of the animal wandering through phoenixville yard. the bear was spotted crisscrossing the block around 5:00 this morning. phoenixville police are asking anyone who sees the bear to call them. not a very pleasant sight of cour course. let's turn things over to glenn "hurricane" schwartz with the neighborhood forecast. beautiful day today, but we have rain coming. >> it was a nice and sunny day after the storms we saw yesterday. these showers are moving pretty much straight west to east. right along i-78 and that is going to be continuing for the rest of the night. now, we're going to see more, as you can see in western

pennsylvania, central pennsylvania, so we have a chance during the day tomorrow, but the biggest chance comes on wednesday as this upper air system across the great lakes starts to slide in with some cold air behind that one. yes, we do have some cold air, but first, we do have some showers around over the next couple of days. we're dry in the morning. then as we go through the heating of the day, it's going to be well up into the 80s tomorrow. we got some isolated showers around. moving west to east. very quickly. so any rain will not last very long. most of us will not see any rain during the day tomorrow. then everything quiets down tomorrow night. and then here we go on wednesday. as that upper air system comes through we could see some showers, maybe even a thunderstorm and maybe even in the morning hours. not going to just wait until the afternoon. then we quiet down as we cool down for wednesday and wednesday night and into thursday. and, yeah, it's a cool change
