this street in camden county. 1,800 people are without people right now because of severe weather in camden and gloucester counties. there were several reports of wires down, high winds, and possible lightning strikes. let's take a live look at the nbc 10 first alert radar. you see storms moving out. there are still lingering showers around south jersey tonight. thanks for joining us. i'm denise nakano. let's get right to violeta yas. >> the good news is we're seeing a lot less. mostly green shifting out toward burlington county as well as ocean county. we have lingering rain. again, if we head a little more north, moderate toward toms river extending all the way down. but, again, the heavy powerful storms that have moved through

have weakened, leaving behind it flash flood warnings. up to 4 inches of rain have been reported. that continues until 2:45 a.m. it takes a little bit for the floodwaters to reseed. across a good chunk of south jersey, you want to make sure you're taking it easy on the roads. we have another advisory here until 12:30. including vineland area too. you need to drive carefully, although the good news is drier air is moving in. we have lingering showers toward chestnut hill. we have another hot day in the forecast as we go ahead and rap up the weekend. i'll have the details coming up in your neighborhood weather. >> at the jersey shore, two women are recovering after they were hurt by a lightning strike. police say the first woman was injured on point pleasant beach around 3:00 this afternoon. and a few minutes later a second woman was hurt while sitting in

her car about a half mile away. police do not think either woman was directly hit by lightning. both are expected to be okay. well, we are following breaking news on a teenager shot in philadelphia. the 15-year-old girl had just finished attending a sweet 16 party. andrea cline-thomas is live. what are you learned tournament? >> they're saying they were having a great time at the block party. they saw the police patrolling the area. shortly a f the streets reopened they heard what sounded like firecrackers but it was gunshots. a 15-year-old girl was shot in the buttocks. she was lying on the sidewalk of van kirk street. a number of adults came to help her. >> i asked her her name and she

said her nickname and the paramedics said put pressure on it. a lady was like take my sweater off, take my sweater off. so i took her sweater off. >> they're still trying to piece together what happened. that teenager was taken to st. christopher's hospital and she's expected to make a full recovery. aundrea cline-thomas, nbc 10 news. >> we're just nine days away from a democratic national convention and protesters are using this weekend to rally. bernie sanders will not be rallying. the city denied that sanders campaign requested to use a baseball field for a rally. it's off limits for demonstrators. learned that sanders will speak at the convention. they have questions for the city about other restrictions.

the spotty showers and thunderstorms we had are moving out. we do have lingering rain across parts of south jersey but overall the trend is improvement. you no longer have to wait for the end of this segment. as we head into your sunday and monday the heat and humidity will continue. it looks like the heat wave is

likely to continue with our third consecutive 950-degree heat in a row. we'll be tracking showers and thunderstorms later in the day. right now we have cloud cover in delaware. taking a closer look, 72 at pensport. right now about 74 degrees. same goes for those of you in parkside and chestnut hill. the thunderstorms have actually ushered in slightly cooler air, especially how warm and humid it was last night. expecting a high near 92 degrees and perhaps mid-90s with humidity on your monday. again, thunderstorms continue to wind down. have lingering rain here. you can see the bulk of the rain has been much of the afternoon and evening. parts of camden with an estimated rainfall. the closer you go to i-95, you're looking at less and less,
