>> we just showed that you silo knocked over. nbc 10's drew smith arrived in may havertown and has had a close-up look at the storm damage there. drew? >> yeah, jacqueline, it's cleanup time down here at this swift farm's store. if you've ever driven by you can see there's a large wooden silo that used to stand upright. right now it's just a pile of debris, an they have been working pretty quickly to try to clean it all up. we were sitting in this storm and we have some video of some of the surrounding-year around may havertown just a couple miles down the road. when the winds came in, came in so quickly it was shaking our truck around so not surprising to see so many trees knocked down through the medians on roads. there's a couple of freeze on cars, houses, and power is out for some parts of businesses and homes throughout this area. we did speak to the managers here at the swiss farms stores who told us what it was like to ride this storm out. >> i'm actually saying it's much like a tornado so buff know you

6:05 pm
that but that's one of the really big issues and things really just started to get loud. there was chanting and there was yelling back and forth. let me show you some of the things happening on the floor and take a listen? >> looking for a roll call vote on the rules. >> why do you want that? >> because one of the results really affects the grass roots because the rnc wants to take control of all of the communication and keep it hidden from the grass roots group. >> reporter: issue of binding the delegates and unbinding the delegates, is that the main issue? >> that's not the main issue to us right now, no. >> reporter: so you heard there that even though the binding of the delegates and them having to vote for someone specific, that has really been the overarchingish euric the folks who were down here on the floor today, they were chanting and yelling about all kinds of different things. they had all kinds of issues of the rule and the way the rules

new details about the turkish man living in exile in the poconos.
6:15 pm
tonight the united states says they have not received an extradition request from turkey for the cleric accused of leading last week's coup. more than 200 people died and nearly 9,000 employees across the country were let go. more now from the poconos. >> reporter: rogue faxes of the turkish military took helicopters and tanks trying to topple the government but the coup failed. hundreds are dead and turkey's president are poking blame to the pocono mountains demanding fethullah gulen be extradited. >> he said he had nothing to do with it and he categorically denies. >> reporter: cleric rejects violence and would never help with a military uprising. >> it is very clear that it's politically motivated. he's a man of peace and defended peace against terrorist groups like isis and condemned violence all throughout his life.

6:17 pm
a lot of the heaviest rain has already moved through philadelphia and now we're looking at it moving towards the delaware beaches and the jersey shore. light rain around philadelphia but heavy rain is shown by red here, that's through parts of kent and sussex county. riverview down to bridgeville. a lot of lightning here and right across 13 in delaware. milford, seeing the very heavy rain, too. that's where the delaware beaches in sussex county, moving into seaford is very important and could see very strong wind gusts and if you're in georgetown here at 6:21 and villas by 6:32 and cape may by 6:41 eventually across the delaware bay and north wildwood by 6:45 so this heavy rain, we expect that to continue, too. i don't really see this weakening any time soon. precip rates almost 2 1/2 inches an hour and coming with a lot of lightning as well so i wouldn't be splois surprised if we see some street flooding hand creek flooding and pretty localized
6:18 pm
and heavy rain moving through in a very short period of time. denis up to corbin city and galloway township. all moves towards the shore as well very quickly and these storms have real el organized compared to 30 minutes ago. atlantic city can expect by 6:20 and eventually it will be moving out of the area. we're also watching up through the lehigh valley where the lehigh valley already saw its fair share of storms this afternoon and now we have a little cluster of heavier rain developing right around parts of north hampton and we'll be watching this very closely. it is crossing 476 here up in the lehigh valley and we could see that start to organize a bit but temperatures have dropped off so a lot of energy from those warm temperatures is sort of leaving the area and now the severe storm threat is still up. any severe storm did have winds near of 0 miles an hour, lightning and heavy rain and possible hail. still in a severe thunderstorm watch. that's going to go until 8:00
6:19 pm
p.m. and that's in the pink coloring here and the strongest of the storms, those will be moving out soon. i would say within the next hour or two for south jersey and delaware. other he's future weather and a line of storms at 4:30 this evening. the rest area dry and maybe lingering showers and maybe by 9:00, 10:00 i think we'll be pretty much in the clear with leftover rain trying to develop but i think the severe threat should be over by then and then by 6:00 tomorrow morning we'll be drying out and we'll have plenty of sunshine in the forecast. look at the temperatures though. already in the mid-90s today. some areas felt triple-digit heat like delaware, for example, but the rain has real cooled us down and now in the mid-730s but the heat will be coming back as we go into the rest of this week. now tomorrow we're going to be dry about the mid to upper 80s and humidity dropping through the day. it will feel a lot more comfortable. wednesday will be the most comfortable day out of the week and low humidity and temperatures mid to upper 80s and then 990s come back for the end of the week and humidity
