back-to-back. gabby, from your perspective what does that honor feel like? >> it feels amazing. making history is something so special and to have this unique bond with all of these girls and to represent usa as best as we could just feels amazing. >> you made history, baby. that is so great. for those of you who have won gold before, at the olympic games it is rare you get to see someone's life change right in front of you. we got to witness it happening. describe how their lives will change. >> it will be crazy. a lot of attention. a lot of press. we always say the best competition to win is team competition because we get to celebrate together. when we get home we are doing a 36-city tour and travel the country in tour buses and be around little girls who look up to us.

we were just like them. we were little. >> i remember like going to one of the tours and watching these two. >> they are so cute. i had the chance to sit with some of their parents. in the 8:00 hour we will get their reaction. you can imagine what that was like watching your kid doing so well. as we said a little earlier katie ledecky picked up her second gold in the games. jenna bush hager caught up with her after that race. >> 200 meter gold. >> reporter: leading others in her race katie ledecky capturing second gold in the game, a race proved exhilarating and exhausting. >> it hurt a lot. i came close to throwing up. my legs were hurting.
