everybody's schedule looks tough but this is brutal. they have to play at seattle, at new england, at cincinnati. cleveland is the only home game. very difficult stretch, three playoff teams on the road to get going. you get relief in october with the home games but a hard way there to start your coaching career. >> cris: but you are also early in the season you might not see the absolute best out of the other teams and you are trying to develop something and put the offense together. would you rather see those teams? it is hard to get a win out of that schedule. would you rather take your shot early or see them later in the year? >> cris: that is the thing you worry about as a coach. >> tony: going on the road to seattle, new england, cincinnati, now you are 1-3. or 0-4 at the beginning and all of the confidence leaves you. that is what you are concerned about. >> mike: not many fans would say

reach. a hazmat situation is playing out in kensington. crews are trying to contain a leak that firefighters say is very dangerous u we have skyforce 10 over that site. at one point, businesses on a nearby block were evacuated. all streets around that building are still closed. that includes east khai owe ga, kingston and parts of gee street. repairs could take several days. a big development in the ryan lochte case. brazilian police are charging him with filing a false report. it is not enough to keep him out of trouble. brandon hudson has been following the latest in this case. everyone wants to know, can ryan lochte be extradited? >> the answer is no. ryan lochte cannot be extradited to brazil because of this charge. surprisingly, a criminal law expert says it's easier to

defend him in the court of law than it is in the court of public opinion. matthew phillips has been a swimmer all his life and hopes to one day compete in the summer olympics. he followed the u.s. team's high points and low, including ryan lochte's false robbery claim. >> it's definitely unfortunate, but you can't have one person or one group of people mess up everything for the whole entire team. >> reporter: new tonight, nbc 10 learned brazilian police charged lochte with falsifying a robbery report in rio de janeiro. we asked a couple attorneys how lochte and his legal team can navigate this. >> had he just told the exact truth of ha happened, i think americans would have been very sympathetic. >> this particular matter is not extraditable. >> reporter: theodore simon has handled a number of international law cases. he says while holochte may not

extradited from america he could be if he travels from another country, but if he stays state side, he's not entirely immune. >> he could be exposed to other legal proceedings by way of a deposition or interrogation here. >> reporter: despite how lochte looks in the court of public opinion, simon told us his charge is defensible, given the confrontation with two armed men in a country with a language barrier. >> if i was his lawyer, i'd be on the next plane to brazil resolving the matter. >> that lochte situation can also be resolved with a fine of some sort, but brazil must make sure they do not overstep by asking for too much money. it's halready reported that another swimmer paid a $11,000 fine. live in the digital operations center, brandon hudson. also interesting, ryan lochte, we've been talking about this for a long time, at least

prayer. furning to a nbc 10 exclusive, the video here, a firefighter arrested in bucks county. investigators say 18-year-old eric word took videos and sexually explicit pictures of a number of girls. one was 14 at the time of his allege crimes. he's charged with computer theft, invasion of privacy and corruption. a woman killed while zip lining at delaware's state park disconnected herself from a safety system before falling. according to the zip line at go ape, the woman was standing on a platform about 35 feet in the air waiting to get on a zip line when she fell. her daughter says zip lining was on her mother's bucket list.

aftershocks are adding to despair in italy where a quake killed 250 people and leveled three small towns. one aftershock leveled buildings that were already cracked, prompting authorities to close roads. they have been using sniffer dogs and working in teams in areas hardest hit. they will not say when their work will shift from saving lives to rye covecovering bodie. comcast is providing free calls through september 25th. they are the parent company of nbc 10. a car smashed into by a suspected drunk driver, and the moment of impact is caught on video. we're learning more about who the officer is. and later, stronger than she looks. that's a baby cow putting up a big fight against officers, trying to wrangle her off of the

want to show you surveillance video showing a car slamming a police officer, throwing him 15 feet into the air. he's 55-year-old joseph cain jr., a 26-year veteran of the department. he was standing on the side when a drunk driver sped down the hill and hit him. we've learned that he is recovering in the hospital tonight. the suspect, meanwhile, is in

jail. that person right there, 21 year old colin murphy, sitting in the back of the squad car, accused of driving drunk and leaving the scene of an accident. turning our sights to our south, a new video of a wild chase in florida that ended with a scuffle between a dui suspect and three deputies. this is video of the chase in indian river. reached speeds of more than 100 miles per hour. after the chase, the man puts his hand in his pants, and this happens right here, it's almost as if he was pulling for a gun. police tased him several times. he continues to fight. one of the officers suffered minor injuries. and while that's going on, police in florida were dealing with a cow on the interstate. what they didn't expect was the fight on their hands. it turned out to be just a calf, but she had a lot of fight in her. up and down an embankment, she took officers for quite a ride. they had to wrangle the calf until she could tire herself out

philadelphia's department of prisons celebrated the most recent class to complete a one of a kind re-entry program. new leash on life pairs unwanted shelter animals with inmates. they train the dogs for three months, teaching them to behave and socialize. in turn, they take classes on management skills and prepping. >> it teaches patience, discipline and ability to solve
