behind me. we found out all of the victims in the shooting are men under the age of 40 who know each other in some way. what we don't know is why this got so violent. moments after it was towed away new jersey state police provided insight that killed one person and hurt four others. >> we believe the people involved in this shooting knew each other, that it was not a random act. >> reporter: it happened in the eastbound lanes of the atlantic city expressway around 3:00. a gunshot wound didn't stop the driver of a white expedition from driving seeking help for him and the three passengers who were also hit. just talking about it almost brought one woman to tears. >> the driver was like can you please help us?

showers or storms. thursday you have the rain chance around 80 degrees. new jersey and delaware expect temperatures around 890 degrees. for tuesday and wednesday rain chance comes thursday. if you're along the shore temperatures around the mid-to low 80s and thursday we have the chance of showers. we really cool down as we go into friday. the big cool down will come by the end of the week. we are still in the 90s today. we hit 93 degrees, four days in a row now. by tomorrow we'll be around 90. same thing on wednesday. look at friday, only around 80 degrees for most of the area. it will be noticeably cooler, 84 degrees. we have been about 10 degrees or so above that. you will notice the changes as we approach the labor day weekend. we have a rip current risk that will start tomorrow. it will run through your weekend. it will be the main concern as we go from tomorrow through your

saturday and sunday. so the jersey shore, be ware of moderate risk of dangerous rip currents. this is from two weather systems offshore that will be moving through. you want to be very careful heading through the beaches. here is a look at the tropics. a tropical depression off of the north carolina coast. one off of the coast of south florida and both expected to become tropical storms. first is going to stay offshore. again, it will increase our risk for rip currents this week. the next one, tropical depression 9 making land fall somewhere in florida between about the florida panhandle and tampa area so your shore forecast for holiday weekend, it is looking pretty good.
