adjust and have to throw underneath. i thought it was just an outstanding coaching job by the patriots staff. >> on the other hand if you are bruce arians, you know the next five games on the schedule are all against teams that didn't make the playoffs a year ago, and you came close to beating the patriots. granted, the patriots were without brady and gronkowski as we mentioned all night long. if you are bruce arians, what are you telling your team in the locker room now or when you reconvene for practice? >> you can't get down over one loss. but this is a game they obviously felt like they were going to win. you are playing at home. you never want to lose at home. you are playing to a backup quarterback. a banged up team. you had a chance to win it. you get over that as every coach does. hey, let's look at the tape. examine our mistakes. improve. we have a lot of football left to play. we are not going to hang our head over one loss. >> tony, thanks.

now let's move over to mike florio. russell wilson injured his ankle in a seahawks victory today. what is the latest you are hearing about his condition? >> well, bob, the ankle injury bothered russell wilson for the rest of the game. afterwards he acknowledged it is sore. this is one of those things we will need to keep our eyes on. it could linger. they are playing a tough rams' defense next weekend. the first regular season game back in l.a. since 1994. in minnesota next weekend, the new stadium opening. but it will be the same routine. will it be shaun hill or sam bradford at quarterback for the vikings? mike zimmer will keep it close to his vest. shaun hill played very well, well enough to win on sunday in tennessee. about you they are trying to get bradford ready to go. he is is the guy with the upside that they think will carry them to where they want to. tomorrow i will talk to stephon di diggs.

thanks for joining us. i'm denies nakano. nbc 10 is your official eagles station with inside access to today's season opener. danny, carson wentz did not disappoint. >> you got that right, denise. wentzylvania, played less than a half of preseason football, looked every bit the part of the victory over the browns. he may be a rookie but his leadership under center is comparable to an nfl vet ron. he showed he belonged from the first drive, leads the eagles down the field. watch this perfect pass to jordan matthew in the near corner of the end zone. a 19-yard pitch and catch for the first touchdown of wentz's career. 7-0 eagles at that juncture and the rookie was far from done. third quarter hooks up with last season's first-rounder, nelsoning a lawyer, and he reels it in. 35-yard pitch and catch. wentz finishes 22 of 37, 278 yards. eagles win 29-10.

a pregame tribute this afternoon, those inside the link paused to remember the lives lost on 9/11. today marks 15 years since the terrorist attacks. first responders walked out onto the field joined by members of body football teams and vice president joe biden. they held the american flag as the national anthem played. for many, 9/11 is a day that brings back so many memories. >> this money whig looked at the news in new york, i actually cried a little bit. i have almost 40 years on the fire department. >> we're told before the ceremony the vice president met with firefighters privately and thanked them for their service. coming up a little later in this newscast, we talk to first responders at bucks county's garden of reflection. and around our region. see their new ways to honor

those lost on 9/11. new tonight from the lehigh valley, an explosion sparked a fire at a natural gas power plant. authorities saying a transformer exploded just after 8:00 at talon energies lower mt. bethel power plant. these are photos sent from an nbc 10 viewer. a company spokesperson says the plant has been shut down and there's no danger to the public or to workers. now to decision 2016. hillary clinton is canceling her trip to california that she was supposed to be taking monday and tuesday as she battles pneumonia. clinton is falling doctors' orders to rest after she stumbled getting into that van. now it's putting her health at the forefront of the presidential race. this cell phone video shows hillary clinton off-balance and rely on the support of secret service agents to lift her into a waiting van as her legs seem to buckle. her campaign would not offer any

information for 90 minutes about why she abruptly left a 9/11 ceremony this morning. then a campaign spokesman initially explained she felt overheated. only hours later did clinton's campaign release a statement from her doctor that she was diagnosed with pneumonia on friday. she was put on antibiotics and advised to rest and modify her schedule. local doctor william -- >> pneumonia is an infection in lung tissue. could be caused by a variety of germs, bacteria, viruses, parasites. there are lots of different causes. >> reporter: last week clinton had a coughing fit during a labor day really in cleveland, making it difficult for her to speak. she blamed it on seasonal allergies. donald trump and his supporters have raised questions about clinton's health in recent months which she dismissed as a wacky strategy. clinton emerging from her daughter chelsea's manhattan apartment just before noon today unassisted and smiling.

robber and they want your help tracking him down. the most recent incident happened this afternoon at the td bank on south 11th street in center city. investigators say he hit the same bank last sunday and they believe he also tried to rob the citizens bank on north fifth street in east oak lane august 19th, the hyperion bank 40 minutes later. a school bus driver is dead and several passengers seriously hurt after a bus veered off a road at denver international airport and crashed into a concrete pillar. police say the driver circled back to the airport and crashed after she picked up 32 players and coaches from a high school football team. two of the injured are now in critical condition. authorities are interviewing the football players about the crash. no pause in the protest. for some players at today's nfl games, as team s paused for the anniversary of 9/11.

>> excitement in atlantic city. miss arkansas savvy shields was crowned miss america 2017 tonight at boardwalk hall. shields won the talent competition with a jazz dance to a song from the tv show "smash." a great afternoon to get outside and enjoy the 10th annual mt. airy village fair. kids making the most of the nice weather by riding bikes, playing games and making crafts. there were also plenty of food choices and live music for everyone to enjoy. sheena, a nice break from the extreme heat. >> yeah, denise. it felt fan tat tick today and even tonight. if you've been outside recently, you'll notice it is cooling down. so as we go into your monday morning to start the work week, temperatures will be a lot cooler than this morning. some areas in the 50s. here are the morning lows. 61 for the morning low in philadelphia. so these numbers will be hitting around sunrise tomorrow. around 53
