a family road. that accident happened ovrm on interstate 78, the family was driving up from south carolina back to their home in new jersey when their nissan hit the guardrail. family members say 5-year-old ravon robinson was thrown from the vehicle and died. his 2-year-old sister was also seriously hurt. police say they found open containers of alcohol inside the car and are waiting on toxicology tests before filing any charges. >> there were open alcoholic containers in the car, it's under investigation as far as who was drinking. >> reporter: two other drivers were also hurt when they rear ended the disabled vehicle. we're learning more tonight about a woman who was shot in the driveway of her lehigh county home. 46-year-old stephanie roof was shot in her home. the county coroner ruled roof's death a homicide, so far no

in at 92 degrees. we have some rain just on the doorstep in areas there. mostly near the poconos, the rain you see, that's part of a cold front. and that cold front is going to give us a cooldown. now we'll zoom into the poconos, there you see a line of showers, some thunderstorm activity earlier today. and some of these could make their way into the lehigh valley. it's not going to be a big deal. but don't be surprised if in the next several hours if you're in the lehigh valley. there's the cold front behind it. the cooler air from canada will be moving in tomorrow. and down to our south, the video that we just showed you tropical storm julia, is going to stay to our south. so for us locally, the only chance of a few showers tonight, maybe some spotty showers north and west. 6:00 a.m. tomorrow morning, that cold front still making its way

more than a year after a mudslides watched out a montgomery county road. residents are still dealing with headaches. the road shut down has increased traffic in their neighborhoods and there's no hope in sight, thanks to a legal mess, complicated by a property owner who passed away. >> reporter: jim, welcome to dehead dehaven street. most people using their phones to try and figure out a way around this closed road. >> if you want to take a walk with your child or ride a bike with your child, it's not going to happen. >> ruined the quality of my life. >> reporter: when you talk to people who live on dehaven street, they all have their

complaints, no parking, cars and property damage. >> but the issue brings bob stevens to tears. >> we're up to over 1,000 cars a day monday through friday on a road that goes from, what, 17 fe feet to 22 feet. >> steven's problem is not that the street is too small, it's that a larger street nearby closed a year ago. trying to reopen the street is the problem. it's caught in a legal mess. there's a collapsing property and anner who died. >> we live in upper marion township. but we border west county. >> in june of 2015, the property union hill road began crumbling,

collapsing, it can't be moved off the street. if it fixes the damage then taxpayers are now responsible for the hill's entire upkeep, and that's muff ee's money the doesn't have. the legal fight is not much comfort to stevens and his neighbors, they don't even live in that county. their street is in upper marion and it's hands are tied too. >> it's been absolutely terrible for over a year now. nobody really steeems to care that's in charge. >> reporter: and we reached out to a number of people who say they do care, but this is now a matter for the courts to decide. from a state senator's office to two different town ships to two solicitors, they all say they're trying to fix the problem, in fact they're planning to meet tomorrow with penn dot officials to come up with a solution. right now we continue to
