violent protests in charlotte. officers are injured and more an a dozen following another deadly police shooting. making chipotle safe again, what they are doing to try to bring back customers to its restaurants. right now at 11:00 new details about an nbc 10 news exclusive. they launched an investigation after an officer was accused of pulling a gun on a driver during a road rage incident yesterday afternoon.

we went to talk to commissioner ross. he says internal affairs is investigating. >> the officer in question has been removed from street duties right now. we have to interview some other witness es witnesses. >> reporter: the protocol is the place the officer on desk duty and take his weapons. we'll have more on the victims of the alleged road rage incident. nbc 10 news. happening now, the health homeland security committee following the bombings over the weekend. the hearing is looking at strategies on how to stop future

attacks. the fbi filed new charges against ahmad rahami. he will face charges in manhattan. they say rahami is seen walking near where a bomb was placed and where one of the bombs went off. 31 people were hurt in the blastment he traveled in 2013 and 2014. he had visited an area associated with terrorist activity. he was involved in a doe mesmes

it gets hotter. we'll go back in a few minutes. >> thanks. a philadelphia high school student is facing charges after he was involved in a fight with a teacher at school. it happened inside lincoln high school. the 16-year-old student is charged with aggravated assault and recklessly endangers another person. philadelphia police say the man that appeared to be a victim of a hit-and-run will face robbery charges. investigators say when a driver pulled up to an atm the driver took off and went back to get his card out of the machine. at that point police say the suspect jumped out at him. the driver drove off again. >> he has only been here for a

month. he did the right thing when he saw police had his car and decided to come forward and cooperate. >> police say the robbery suspect suffered head injuries and is in critical condition six people were killed a 7th person died from injuries later. the salvation army had no to the collapse. the construction contractor are the only ones responsible. the operator and demolition are serving time after their criminal con convictions. the trial will determine if anyone is financially liable for what happened. the robbery suspect in west

philadelphia. a man went into a store early monday morning. he pointed a gun and demanded cash. she gave him money and he took off. ten minutes late ter same man went into another near by store and tried to rob an employee. he had a permit to carry and forced the robber out of the store. police want to hear from you if you recognize him. police want you to look at this guy. he is accused of -- he used a note and got away with $40. now a follow up to the shooting rampage in philadelphia. she was released from the hospital yesterday. young was one of six people shot during the deadly rampage friday night. police say nicholas glenn hit her in the shoulder, arm and torso. the mayor who prosecutors say was target until a political

revenge plot is back in the bridgegate scandal. it is september of 2013 with massive traffic jam in fort lee. chris christie denied any involvement in that. he testified governor chris -- when asked if he would endorse christie he said no. foreman christie associates are accused of intentionally closing lanes on the george washington bridge to punish the mayor. time now for a check on the roads. what are you seeing out there? >> it is right around the betsy ross bridge camera. an unusual delay at this time.

a 43-year-old black man was shot by police. authorities were trying to serve a warrant to a different man tuesday afternoon when they encountered keith lamont scott who they say was armed. >> they engaged him. he is armed with a handgun we found on the scene as well, made some imminent threat to them and each one of our officers fired shots at him. >> news of scott's death sparked protest near the site of the shooting. demonstrators faced off with police wearing riot gear. members of his family say he

wasn't armed. >> he got a gun. he got a gun, pow, pow, pow, pow. that's it. >> officials say at least a dozen officers faced life threatening injuries during the protest. the officer is on administrative leave today al sharpton will visit tulsa. video from a police helicopter shows him with his hands up as he walked back to his vehicle. seconds later the officer fired her gun killing him. they say he was try to go reach inside his car possibly for a weapon. the family says no weapon was

found. overnight police found pcp in the man's car. they say talking about drugs distracts from drugs about the use of deadly force. today an epi pen maker faces charges. the company has been slammed recently for raising the price of the life-saving emergency treatment more than 500% since 2011. they say the broken health care system is to blame and the company that has no plans to lower its prices. the cost of a two pack is $680. we are heading into the 80s today. it is keeping clouds at the shore a little bit thicker.

the weekend for philadelphia. the warming trend continues into the beginning of autumn. it really drops heading into the weekend for philadelphia. you'll feel that as well in delaware. dover 85 on friday and 70s move in for saturday. look at the shore, upper 70s and then it's cooling down as if somebody is flipping a switch. that cool down goes farther down over the weekend. on sunday it will be the coolest day of the weekend. near 80 in philadelphia on saturday. look at these temperatures for sunday. upper 60s for philadelphia to lehigh valley. delaware up to 71 degrees. there you have it. warm weather as it would go into autumn. bright sunshine for friday and then here comes the cool weather for the weekend. into next week too.

alleged officer or his name, none of that do we know at this point. the driver tells us he won't ever forget. the gun pointed his direction t tattoos on the man who said he was a police officer and the back of the truck that cut him off. >> when he pulled out his gun i didn't know if he was going to shoot me. >> reporter: take a look at what happened yesterday just as rush hour was getting underway near eastbound 76 just past the city avenue merge. the man driving the bmw who was cut off says the driver of this truck with distinguishing decals identified himself as a police officer and pointed a gun in his direction. we were waiting for police commissioner ross to see what he thought. >> he kept come to go my lane, closer and closer. he pulled his wind down telling

17-year-old transgender young fellow who had been put out of his house. he was a dear guy, wonderful person. as a result of that i felt like i want to get involved with this hiv. i knew he was very vulnerable and out on the streets. >> it inspired you? >> yes. >> tell me about your work. >> we are mind, body, spirit. so many times our people are considered outcasts. the word means one that has been sent. i swear this pandemic, we have a lot to learn from people with hiv. we try to provide a safe place so people can be who they are, reclaim their lives.

we provide over 83 retreats. we have yoga, support groups, spiritual direction. we make a distinction. our belief is everyone by nature is spiritual. some times religion can be very harsh. we have just had a safe circle. people pour their hearts out. they rediscover who they are. they make friends and they become very life giving vibrant people. i just love it. >> and i want to ask you about the event coming up. tell me what that is and how it will help you. >> i think the biggest is the awareness. we want people to realize we have a safe haven. obviously we need donations to make retreats and our programs run but i think the essence is how caring our clients are.

she spoke often about the importance of organ and issue donation. she was making her way through college when unfortunately she passed. so we were looking for college scholarships to help kids like her. when she died we decided it would be wonderful to remember her that way. we started the scholarship in her memory. we give away four scholarships to help them full phil thefill dreams. >> yeah, students like lean. you have been there for about two weeks. tell us your story. >> last summer i was on the wae beach with my family. my stomach started to hurt. i didn't think it was anything serious. so then my stomach started to blow up kind of. i was never hungry, always

tired. finally we went to the hospital and it was about two or three days before school was supposed to start. they ran a bunch of tests. they saw something was wrong with my liver. they told me they were rushing me to dupont hospital. within two days i was told i have wilson's disease. what this is, i have basically had it my whole life. it only became present now. basically it causes too much copper to build up in your liver, brain or over organs. a lot of copper eventually caused my liver to fail. i was told i would be on medication for the rest of my life. the next day i was told i needed to be rushed to the top of the transplant list. a lot of time waiting on the transplant list. nothing became available. my family and friends got tested

to be liver living donors. my brother's girlfriend donated 40% of her liver and both of them will regenerate. >> how are you doing now? >> i am good. i had a lot of complications but i'm good now. >> you look great. >> the whole message is the importance of organ donation. >> absolutely. at any given time there's 120,000 people on that list waiting far life-saving organ transplant. i'm very blessed to help at least four students every year. i have given the scholarship to 48 children. i want to give it to more. >> that's excellent. >> i want to watch them excel and live healthy lives. >> it is sunday september 25th from 1:00 to 4:00. for more go to nbc10.com or
