traffic backing up rush hour. in delaware county, police are on the hunt for a man they say beat and slashed the throat of his girlfriend early this morning in yeadon. authorities tell us 35-year-old mark epps knew that natasha gibbons had friends on bailey treat and showed up there and slashed her throat. he left a trail of blood for more than an hour. at the end of that trail, police believe they found the knife that was used in the murder, but not epps. >> he has criminal history of violent, assault, drugs, and i believe also rape. >> police say epps is dangerous and they want to find him before anyone else is hurt. faculty and coaches from 14 state universities across pennsylvania could go on strike before october 30th if a new contract settlement isn't

to new details now on a reported car fire bombing, philadelphia police now say the incident may have just been a car fire. it happened early this morning, at dolphin and cleveland streets in north phil. police say the fire is still under investigation. police in delaware are investigating the death of a person whose body was found last night in a partially collapsed house in newark. a second person had to be freed from the debris. she's now in the hospital in stable condition. the damage can't be seen here from the front of the town home. but nbc 10 was in front of the town house on saturday. officials have not said yet whether the deceased person passed away as a result of collapse. >> not long ago these five philadelphians were facing from

commissioner says -- market share as casinos in atlantic city shut down. >> everybody's competing for casino customers. when sands opened back in 2009, they acknowledged it was a big bet during a tough economy. >> so we think there's a large audience that we can hopefully entice to the facility. >> so far it's paid off and now it appears they are doubling down on bethlehem. >> pennsylvania's seen a lot of success with these, and the sands is the most successful casino in pennsylvania. >> no word yet on when construction might start, it's far too soon, this plan still needs layers of approval, sands declined our request for comment. the expansion of the sands casino is just one of many that's taking place across the area. >> the casino added games, restaurants and a parking
