andreas klein thom-- about an hour ago, sky force 10 over the scene as the bomb squad checked out a device outside the firehouse an market street. the firehouse was evacuated, that is until screws confirmed it was not an explosive device. 20 minutes of nonstop news continues in the break in the case of an 8-year-old's murder. >> gabby hill carter was caught in the cross fire while riding a bike outside of her home nearly a month ago. police officers traveled to clarksville, tennessee where he was arrested for first-degree murder. police worked around the clock to find the suspect.

>> she's live in camden with the latest. >> he's a mere 10 years older than gabby hill carter, he's now charged with her murder. police tracked him down some 750 miles away from here in camden, not because of tips from here in this community, instead, they say from a series of lies from those closest to him. captured by the u.s. marshals fugitive task force in clarksville, tennessee, investigators won't say when 18-year-old brown was there. he's charged with first-degree murder of gabby hill carter, but did he fire the bullet that killed her? >> we believe he was a principal actor in what led too these charges. >> his mother was arrested a week ago, and his girlfriend

murder mission try. police in delaware county say they need a name to go with the face captured on this surveillance video, they want to question him about the throat slashing of a woman in g eryead. police thought they had a person of interest last night but today that changed? >> reporter: we have learned after interviewing that person of interest, that that is not the man responsible for the crime, that is why police want you to take a good look at the surveillance video you're about to see. it shows the person of interest wanted in the crime buying a beer just after the murder. look closely at this man, he keeps his face low, almost as if he knows there are cameras all around him. he fishes in his pockets for money and he buys a can of beer. he leaves the southwest philadelphia store and is on his way. just by looking at the video, there's no indication he just

slashed a woman's throat. but that's what police want to question this man about. they came looking for the video late yesterday afternoon. in addition to what police released, nbc 10 found other angles of the same man, walking across the street into a store and then leaving. the man is wanted for questioning after the murder of 32-year-old natasha gibson of yeadon. police say she was planning to stay with a friend on bailey street on friday night. but she never got to the house. she was found dead on the doorstep early yesterday morning. now they say this is the guy they want to talk to. a man who left a blood trail from the scan of the murder into philadelphia along baltimore avenue. police say the man was injured in the murder and found new blood stains near where this video was taken. and as we have learned as the man was looking for money and

they're fattah is set to be sentenced himself next month. center city philadelphia played host to a solemn ceremony honoring fallen veterans of years past. the ashes of 27 veterans were front and center just outside the municipal services building, the remains of those vets are unclaimed. and in that flag draped coffin. the city and several organizations are working to make sure that the ashes of the veterans find a final resting place. after years of planning, the u.s.'s newest museum on the national mall on washington, d.c. is ready to open this weekend. >> president obama will help open the museum that helps trace the journey of african-americans through american society, from slayry to segregation to the civil rights movement of the 1950s and 60s.

one factor hurting law enforcement recruiting efforts, in fact staffing levels at the philadelphia police department are the lowest in three years, but changes have significantly increased the number of and captains. >> the biggest change is that you do not have to go to college to become a philadelphia police officer, a move aimed at filling hundreds of vacancievacancies, say it comes with an even greater call. philadelphia police are looking for 300 brave men and women to join its ranks. >> we want people to be culturally diverse. >> staffing is the lowest in two decades as retirements and over factors create more vacancies, add to that the developing tensions across the country between officers an communities.

so here's a look at your future temperatures, hour by hour, i'm going to pause this, early saturday into sunday morning and notice how much cooler those temps are. so between today and tomorrow, we will see about a 10 to 15-degree drop by tomorrow afternoon, and then overnight hours, saturday into sunday, we're seeing some 40s out there, so pots town, starting off in the mid 40s, low 40s for allentown, and doylestown upper 40s starting sunday morning, those are between the hours of 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. here is your cold front sliding on down from the northwest. so i do think we will see one or two scattered showers especially like by for pars of central and northern new jersey, we may get one or two isolated thunderstorms, here's your hour by hour forecast, that cold front dips on down, pushes in

forecast, we have a lot to go over, we may see a couple of scattered showers tonight, but details coming up in just a bit. back to you. don't shoot him, don't shoot him. he has no weapon. >> now to exclusive new video that's making headlines on nbc 10 news at 4:00. a woman records while pleading with officers not to shoot her husband. then she watches as they open fire. the video was recorded by the wife of keith lamont scott on tuesday in charlotte, north carolina. scott's death has prompted widespread demonstrations throughout that city. police say he had a gun, but witnesses say he was holding a book. now the unrest in charlotte follows another controversial killing in tulsa, oklahoma, a police officer there turned herself in this morning to face manslaughter charges. over betty shelby is accused of killing and shooting an unarmed black man last week. the dash cam video shows

crutcher walking away from shelby with his hands in the air. shelby's attorney says crutcher refused to follow commands and she opened fire when he began to reach into the window of his car. investigators say crutcher did not have a gun on him or in his vehicle. back here at home a school superintendent is fighting back against claims of so called lunch shaming. we told you earlier this week about an elementary school cafeteria worker at cannons burg who quit over the controversial lunch policy. she had to take a hot lunch away from a student busz of his parent -- the boy's hot lunch was never taken away, she says the child was mistakenly giving a cold lunch and then it was replaced when it was determined the account was current. today the base held a ribbon

cutting ceremony marking the reopening of the north-south run way, it's been closed for a year and a half. the renovations forced the closing. with the run way complete, dover is welcoming back its fleet. a south jersey community college is limiting the contact with other schools can have with its students on campus. roan college is a two year school in peopmberton. the only exception is rowan university. the program wants to maximize it's program it already has in place with the university. it's a big day for the children's hospital of philadelphia that announced the new $50 million initiative designed to put the hospital at the forefront of pediatric
