month to more than a quarter million people. those numbers don't include residents who register with paper applications. so the pennsylvania deadline officially over as of midnight this morning. the deadline to register in delaware is this saturday the 15th. if you're voting in new jersey, you have until next tuesday, the 18th. keep up with all the dates you should know this election season with the nbc 10 app. today donald trump is pushing people to get registered and he's lashing out at republican leaders who have given up on his presidential campaign. but trump insisted that a big voter turnout can overcome that drop in support and hillary clinton's lead in most polls. >> be sure to vote, donald trump told supporters today in battleal ground florida. >> if you're not registered, get the hell out of here, leave right now and go and register. >> reporter: because of hurricane matthew, the deadline has been extended a week in florida. early voting began today in ohio

neighborhood. police say at one of the homes, the men found an unlocked door and are believed to be wandering around inside. >> she noticed there were some unauthorized charges on her credit card. >> that's how police were able to find the video of the men shopping with the victim's credit cards. but here's the confusing part for police. the victim says her credit cards were in her purse the morning after the burglary, leading police to think the thieves cloned the cards and left them behind so they could continue shopping. police believe all that could have been done inside the victim's house when and her kids were sleeping. one of the men was seen snacking on sour patch kids as he walked out. his alleged accomplice waving at a clerk. another concern police have the men were spotted in several towns on that september morning and they say they have traffic camera footage to back up that

claim. but it's this video that's key for police, the image is so clear for the suspects, police believe someone out there knows who they are, and if it's you, they want you to call police. and also in plymouth, a man is facing harassment and indecent exposure charges after he expose himself to unsuspecting female store clerks. police say francisco salazar hernandez showed up at plymouth meeting mall at the american eagle. he asked to try on jeans and then flashed women who work there. those close to the case at first it was a mistake, but when clerks began talking to each other, they realized it was something worse. >> they would bring in another pair, he was standing in there fully expose. >> salazar hernandez is still free on bail. he is not allowed to contact the victims or return to the american eagle store. philadelphia's mayor

investigators played a role in today's meeting. a time to -- a few people taking advantage of the weather and getting a walk in there. beautiful skies, though, we could see some areas of fog overnight. >> let's get to meteorologist sheena parveen with the first alert forecast. >> the fog is all going to be ahead of rain for part of the area tomorrow, not everybody, but some of you could see some afternoon thundershowers as we go through your thursday. temperatures right now are pretty comfortable. we have now hit 70 degrees in philadelphia, tomorrow will be more in the low 70s through more years than we're at now. 68 degrees, mt. holly, 67 in wilmington and vine land. it's still very comfortable, we are dry right now, but notice a big temp difference across the country, we have 80s down to our south. we're still going to be tapping into some of that warm air tomorrow.

but that cooler air right behind it. big difference, that's all part of a cold front. and that's what it's going to give some of the area showers tomorrow. there's the rain, it's slowly moving in our direction, but not all that rain is going to move through, the chance for showers is going to be north and west and may have been in the afternoon hours. for tonight, we still have the cooler temperatures in the forecast, we'll see clouds overnight tonight and temperatures already in the low 50s through parts of the area. tomorrow more still areas of fog. temperatures at 8:00 a.m. in the mid 40s for most areas. and another cooldown for the weekend. eagles quarterback carson wentz is already a superstar. but fans somewhere else in the nation might be even more pumped than us. nbc 10 takes you to carson country, where wentz is creating

7:00 p.m., 64 degrees, by 10:00, 58 degrees, so it will be getting cooler again tonight, then we'll have some patchy fog early tomorrow morning. here's a live look, satellite radar, we are nice and dry. we'll have more moving in overnight and tomorrow. there's rain heading our way, not everyone's going to see this rain, that's part of a cold front, pretty far away, so the best chance as it gets closer is going to be for the lehigh valley tomorrow afternoon. that's going to be our best chance of any rain in the forecast. this is future weather, 10:30 in the morning, we're still dry, rain, to the north and west. but you see those clouds moving in. we have some rain already moving into burks county, lehigh valley, the poconos, but it should not hold together to move through the entire area, kind of breaks apart. a lot of the commuter models are actually agreeing with that. so i don't think everyone's going to see the rain. we could have isolated showers move through, but by tomorrow afternoon, sunshine, dry air and

all new at 5:00, five months after our story about pothole repair willings. a city -- how crews can better tackle the perennial problem.

>> george? >> city councilmembers repeated one after the other that pot holes are among the quality of live problems they hear about most frequently. and with winter soon upon us, street officials acknowledge that staying ahead of this problem remains a challenge. >> reporter: in city council chambers today, philadelphia's pothole problem under a city wide spotlight. ways to better address the roadway headaches no matter where they occur. >> sometimes they themselves, the people that drive don't understand all the nuances either, they don't know the difference between a state highway or a city street, they know there's a hole there and they want it fixed. >> nbc 10's investigation on pothole repair logs. in that story, we expose sloppy

recordkeeping, which meant the city often couldn't say how long it took to repair your pothole complaints even though the city promises a three-stay response. a city leader graded the condition of city roads, many of them quite old as a c minus, but he insisted his crews should be given an aminus for day to day response. >> we're doing the best we can with what we have. >> reporter: would you say you're dissatisfied with how things are going in terms of these repairs. >> yes, i'm dissatisfied. >> reporter: he believes greater use of technology may be the answer, machines may allow crews to repair more potholes with the same amount of manpower. city department leaders say an

paving upgrade will come through too. >> we should see that within the next year, two years at the late latest. you should start to see improvements. >> now in fairness to the streets department, many of philly's most traveled roads, like roosevelt boulevard are also penn dot's responsibility to maintain not the city. hundreds of temple university students have been without water since late this morning after a water main break on campus. you can see that water pouring in the roads. that water has stopped flowing, now crews are working to repair the roads and restore service to one of the residence halls. last summer -- first draft of an audit to the state's child line.

back then it showed it's peak last year, 43% of those calls on the line were either abandoned or they were lost. today he announced the final results and what's being done to fix problems. the department of human service hired more call takers and took more calls in the month of june than in the past two years combined. >> when we're talking about the safety of pennsylvania's children, we must stay on this moving forward, in a sense for everybody. >> the child line became inundated with calls following the jerry sandusky case and new laws putting background checks in place for any adults working with children. >> surveillance video captures a robbery at a fast food pizza change in west philadelphia. two thieves walked into the little caesar's and asked for

money and took off. there was a third suspect outside. he pointed a gun at a young mother and her two children, taking her cell phone, no one was hurt. turning now to our weather, a cool start to the day across much of the region. nbc 10 in delaware county where a few people took their exercise outside. took their pets as well. #. >> it will be a little warmer tomorrow and you could have run into some showers depending on where you live. >> sheena parveen has the details. >> the dogs are loving this weather too, it's so comfortable for them in the morning. temperatures today got into the mid to upper 60s for most of the area, but philadelphia has now hit 70 degrees, but yes, we do have showers tomorrow afternoon. not very everybody, but only for part of the area. lehigh valley can expect those tomorrow, sunny, 68 degrees right now and a lot of clear skies across the year, but we will see more clouds moving in

overnight tonight. so we are nice and dry, the rain is back by chicago, that's all part of a cold front that's moving in this direction, so by tomorrow afternoon, some parts of the area will start to see the rain. increasing clouds overnight tonight, so for the philadelphia area, by 7:00 a.m. in the morning, we could see some areas of fog around for the morning commute. temperatures mid 50s by 7:00 a.m. more clouds in the afternoon. temperature also get more into the low 70s for most of the area too. pennsylvania suburbs, some areas of fog tomorrow morning, more clouds around by the afternoon. we could see a couple of showers try to move into the pennsylvania suburbs, best chance of rain tomorrow will be for the lehigh valley, mostly in the afternoon. so we'll be watching that closely. i don't think the rain is going to make it into new jersey or delaware, so you can expect some area of fog for the morning commute, temperatures in the low 50s in the morning, by the afternoon, the upper 60s, by 4:00 p.m. most spots will get up into the lower 70s. maybe dry in new jersey or
