scared. >> what people are saying about all of this crime happening in center city? >> reporter: for residents who live here, people who work right here in center city, they tell me their sense of safety and security feels somewhat shattered, much like the store front here on chestnut this morning. >> a high end heist, the smash and grab of high end handbags and other merchandise at boyds. they smashed the store front with a car. >> there are cameras everywhere. >> reporter: repair crews spent hours fastening up the broken glad. vandalism of the union league staircase has locals feeling undone. >> i don't see them walking the beat as much here as they do in the outer city. >> reporter: and nearby business owners want more police

we can tell you that boyds did not skip a beat, they were open this morning. >> the shooting in rittenhouse square, police revealed the name of the suspect, a 17-year-old. a good samaritan tried to stop a robbery in the park when he was shot several times. and we have learned that the suspect is charged with attempted murder tonight. the victim from last tuesday night's shooting is now in stable condition. and new video captures the man who damaged a historic building. a brass stairway -- you can see part of the staircase crumbled. the iconic building dates back to 1965. within the past 30 minutes, police released the identity of

a delaware couple killed during a shoot-out with police in elkton just over the state line from newark, delaware. police say the officers were serving a warrant for 25-year-old brandon jones of dover. that's when investigators say that jones raised his weapon toward police. chelsea porter was also shoot when she too threatened the officers. police released this photo of one of the guns that was used by the suspects. to decision 2016 now, the presidential race was all about florida today, donald trump told a crowd he's confident he can pull off a win in the battle ground state. right now trump is getting ready to speak in the state capital of tallahassee. trump continues to claim the election is rigged against him. >> the washington establishment

that has tried to hard to stop this movement, is evidence that this is the kind of change that only arrives once in a lifetime. >> earlier today trump also visited the bay of pigs museum in little havana. hillary clinton talked about the importance of keeping obama care. the democratic nominee also went after trump for not saying he would accept the election results. >> in america, we don't say we're going to keep you in suspense about whether we will respect the outcome of an election. we have free and fair elections the peaceful transfer of power. >> clinton will hold two more rallies in the state tomorrow.

and late this afternoon, colin powell announced he's endorsing hillary clinton and will be voting for the presidential nominee. powell served as secretary of state in george w. bush's administration. and democrat katie mcginty is looking to unseat pat toomey and that's a seat that democrats need to regain control of the senate. pat toomey holds a three-point lead over mcginty. >> if hillary clinton wins the white house, democrats could shift the power in the senate if they gain four seats. they have got their eye on pennsylvania, a battleground state for the presidency and now also the senate. >> you care about your country. >> reporter: in northeast philadelphia, pennsylvania's

tomorrow. we will stay dry, what we're watching as we go towards thursday, that's going to be our next rain chance, as this weather system moving towards minneapolis, we could even see snow in part of it as it moves in. i'll show you who can expect that and how long that rain will last before a bit of a weekend warmup that's coming up. new at 6:00, a montgomery county woman is suing north wildwood to get a section of the beach closed. her lawyers want a judge to close a section of the hereford section of the beach to prevent another tragedy. the city has no comment because of the active lawsuit. some movement today in talks between septa and the union with thousands of members.

if a deal isn't reached, septa drivers could walk off the -- exfired at mid night on october 31st. sicking points include pension, health care and fatigue rules for drivers. happening right now, the community is meeting in north philadelphia to talk about different ideas to make the roosevelt boulevard safer, the boulevard is one of the most dangerous roads in the region. the nbc 10 investigators did some digging and found more than 60 people crashed along the boulevard between 2011 and 2015. the roosevelt room is open to the public. there's another meeting tomorrow night at 6:00. remembering a tv legend in phil. former colleagues including brian williams look back at the career of sheela allen-stephens.

we're going to have colder temperatures overnight, expect temperatures dropping to around freezing, it's going to be a cold one as you start your day tomorrow. live look at center city, we're dry, expect those skies to continue to clear, and that's really going to help that frost to form. we're in the upper 40s, the lehigh valley, 53 philadelphia, low 50s in parts of delaware and south jersey. we'll take a look at your pennsylvania neighborhood, dropping down to 49 degrees already. 49 in melbourne. in warrington, you're at 48 degrees already. temperatures are going to be dropping into the 30s and by 7:00 a.m., to the north and west, the lehigh valley and some of our pennsylvania suburbs, even our new jersey

neighborhoods a couple of degrees from freezing. we're going to stay dry, just kind of chilly in the afternoon, our next weather system that's going to bring us -- still west of chicago, but as it gets here, it's going to run into some of this cold air, and that's why you're going to see some snow developing, here you see tomorrow morning, that cold air is here, that's going to be the frost. then some of that warm air or mild air moves back in as we go through early thursday, we're dealing with rain, that's going to start to change over to snow, but by 10:00 a.m. thursday, that cold air is still going to be around enough to possibly give the poconos some snowfall, maybe a wintry mix, wouldn't be a

surprise if we had some snowflakes thursday morning before it all changes over to rain. a chilly, rainy thursday, but warm enough for rain by thursday evening, we get a little bit colder by friday and then we go into the weekend and we're going to warm up a bit. fairmount 52, allentown right around 50 degrees tomorrow afternoon. new jersey, looking at 54 degrees, 52 long port, 54 degrees in dover, and we're going to stay dry, friday we start to dry out and cool down. look at your weekend, we're going to be possibly back into the 70s, and by monday, back into the 60s and a couple of 70s again into next week. live in newcastle county, delaware, we're told there were gunshots fired and then there was a crash here. this was near dub run boulevard.
