9:00 in the morning through today through the evening rush. we originally had estimates that this was going to be back open between 4:00 and 6:00. this is between exits 358 and 351. the pennsylvania turnpike is closed in both direction because of live wires on the road. closed since the morning commute, saying that this will be closed through the evening rush, this is about 7 miles of the pennsylvania turnpike. >> now to breaking news out of chicago, a plane there has caught fire at o'hare international airport. the american airlines plane was taking off to miami when an engine malfunctioned.

township, delaware county, and in map right here gives you an idea of where those tracks were located. nbc 10's tim furlong live in chester township. >> tim, i know you have been out there all day, what are investigators telling you? >> they're still working at things, you had these two slow moving trains going head to head. 7 1/2 hours later, you still see -- that engine that you're looking at right there, they're trying to lift it back up delicately back on the tracks. >> reporter: you can hear the radio chatter of the accident. this morning at about 8:30 on the csx line in chester township, a train carrying grain collided with another csx train coming from atlanta.

>> it was a big, loud, boom. >> reporter: there were two crewmembers on each train. >> i looked out the window, i could see it from my bathroom window. i seen them when they were bringing somebody out. >> reporter: csx confirms that two of their employees were taken to the hospital. a source tells us just east of this spot, there's a track that breaks off where one track is supposed supposed to wait at a red light until the other one passes. you can hear some of the confusion on the radio shooter, but csx won't say if the westbound train inappropriately blew through the signal. >> it was a long, loud metal crash. you can tell a metal crash, and actually it sounded like a bomb.

>> actually it wasn't a bomb and they -- csx owns the train and the track, and the track doesn't show any passenger trains, it hasn't been a problem getting people out of the area, i will tell you this, none of the freight has monved out of here. >> and this is the second train crash in the chester area since april. that blue dot shows where today's accident is. back in april, there was another crash a few blocks away near booth and highland. in that accident, an amtrak train struck a piece of tractor equipment. witnesses say it sounded line act explosion at the time. mpls an apology today from the 76ers, the team says they were wrong to cancel r and b singer

it's going to be nice weather, so you can go outside --- >> you can do some tailgating in your own backyard. the temperatures are going to get into the 70s in much of the area, and i'm predicting even some parts of delaware could get to 80 on sunday afternoon. nowhere near that right now, everybody's in the 50s, including at the jersey shore, the ocean temperature is 60 degrees, that's about five degrees above normal. 53 ocean city, you can see it's a land breeze today, a bit of a sea breeze tomorrow and then the land breeze tomorrow says the shore is going to be really warm for sunday. look at these wind gusts, 25 to 30 miles an hour in much of the area, the wind is really going to be diminishing over the next few hours, might even see that drop off by 6:00. you've got a lot of clouds in the midwest, but not much in the

way of rain. so this front that's going to be coming down over the weekend, not guaranteed that it's going to be bringing rain with it so every part of the area. it's going to be dry tomorrow morning, a lot of sunshine, temp going up quickly from that chilly start, no rain anywhere in the area, beautiful afternoon. saturday night is dry, not nearly as cool as tonight, and then here comes sunday. well, this model has us even with sunshine into the afternoon, we get enough sunshine sunday afternoon, we're easily in the mix in philadelphia. here comes a front with some rain. this model again tends to push it down to the south. and that's at night. most of sunday, if not all of sunday could be dry. and then monday is deafinitely dry because the front is going

to be much cooler. 72 for philadelphia, 76 on sunday. just a chance of a few showers later in the day or into the evening hours. anything that would occur on the jersey shore and delaware, anything that would occur there would be at night and not much of a factor. lehigh valley staying in the 60s, the trick or treat forecast looks like this, we're going to be dry, but the temperature is going to drop off by 8:00, we're at 56 degrees, sun sets right at 6:00, so it gets totally dark by 6:30. so you want to bundle up the kids if you're going to be after that and wear reflective clothing. sunday, there's that chance of showers at 76, a real drop by monday. a high of only 60, then we start warming up again, it gets into the mid70s again by wednesday and thursday.
