let's bring in nicolle wallace, steve kornacki and msnbc chief ari melber. good morning. back to 2015 when bernie sanders famously said at that debate with hillary clinton, americans are sick and tired of your damn e-mails and what are we talking about now with eight days to go until the election. the question is, is it an october distraction or an october game changer. >> well, it is an october surprise. i think you start at the right place because the original sin is hers. but the question that none of us here knows the answer to is have voters taken this into account already? we know this will excite and animate and thrill the trump voter. we know this will depress and discourage hillary clinton supporters, make them incredibly anxious. what we don't know is all those voters -- i wouldn't even call them undecided voters. they're disillusioned voters. they're people who don't really like either choice. will that push them one way or the other. nobody knows.
