meteorologist bill henley who has the neighborhood forecast. is there fog in some places? >> it's a warmer morning. the warm air is bringing in moisture, not much fog, zero fog in this view looking across the delaware. we are seeing the formation of some light fog in some of the suburbs. visibility is under four miles which isn't bad at all. i expect it to thicken as the temperatures cool down a bit. light fog in soj jersey, under three miles an hour in millville. pretty good visibility to start with at least in wilmington. i'll be watching that threw the morning. temperatures dropped into the 40s and 50s but overall, we're running 10 to 15 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. 52 degrees in philadelphia. 46 degrees in the lehigh valley. with sunshine, heading for a beautiful fall day into the low 70s this afternoon. i'll go through each of the forecasts hour by hour when i come back in less than ten minutes. >> see you then, bill. it is day two of the septa strike.

contract talks resume later this morning after breaking off at around 1:00 this morning. septa reports both sides continue to make progress. the walkout by bus drivers and trolley and subway operators started yesterday. the regional rails are running. septa warned riders to expect more delays çtoday. septa went to court to seek an injunction. that begs the question, how are things running so far this morning. >> let's find out with first alert traffic reporter jessica boyington. >> so far, we're not seeing delays, of course, it's still early for that. we'll show you why. in case you didn't hear most of this yesterday, the subways, buses, trolleys, the market frankford line and the broad street trolley. 10, 11, 13, 15, 34 and 36, all have access to center city, that was givinging us the problem with the strike in effect. the regional rails are in service and were in service yesterday. we were seeing massive delays

with the overflow of people trying to get around. there were people on strike around the regional rail stations not allowing trains to move out of the train station. we were seeing major overflow on to the major highways. the vine street expressway not dealing with much. we also don't have that construction tieing it up between the schuylkill and the broad stre broad street. this is over in new jersey in mt. laurel township, a tractor-trailer fire reported on the northbound side of the new jersey turnpike, exit 4, which is route 73. vai? >> today marks day two of the septa strike. >> septa and leaders from its biggest union walked well into the night but walked away from the bargaining table without a deal. matt delucia is live outside callowhill depot in west

philadelphia with more on the late-night negotiations. matt? >> we were here yesterday morning and the striking septa workers are back on the picket line once again. they're among the nearly 5,000 who walked off the job a little more than 24 hours ago. negotiations as we mentioned continued into the evening and septa says theyç and transport workers union loge 234 continue to make steady progress, progress toward reaching an agreement on a new contract. as jessica mentioned at one point during the evening rush, picketers started interfering with regional rail service. things got hairy. a judge stepped in to stop there. congressman bob brady stepped into the negotiating process, the big issues really long have been health care and pensions. but last night brady told us he is concerned about this stretching into election day. >> i'm worried about people not being able to get to the polls because they have to allow extra time to drive their kid to

school or drive themself to work. >> septa made an offer to the union around 5:00 last night. the union rejected that offer. talks are expected to resume this morning. we'll hear from the mayor and the governor at 4:30. they want this to end just like the hundreds of thousands of riders and passengers who depend on the service and are once again this morning left to find another way to get where they need to go. west philadelphia, matt delucia, nbc 10 news. regional rails are expected to be packed again today. this video from suburban station showing the trains not working because striking workers caused dela dela delays. no buses or trolleys working. more people are riding the regional rails. it's frustrating for commuters who wa the to get to and from work. >> i actually was in line but i

philadelphia commuters face another day of headaches as we move into day two of the septa strike. contract talks resume later this morning after breaking off at around 1:00 this morning. it's about three hours ago. septa reports both sides continue to make progress. the strike shut down buses, trolleys, as well as subways. the regional rail are running. septa warns commuters to expect more delays today. commuters are getting creative when itç comes to finding alternatives to riding septa. >> you do what you have to do, right? some people are just walking to where they need to go. one man we caught up with walked seven miles yesterday. obviously it's cheapest option but it's tiring. >> really, really bad. my feet are hurting. i have to walk right back, i guess. try to look at something positive today, man. it's just crazy. >> look for a silver lining. we checked with taxi drivers. they say they are staying busy but that is a more expensive option, obviously.

it costs anywhere from 10 to 40 bucks for ride sharing programs like uber or lyft. if you decide to take your car, you better get to the parking garages early, because they fill up fast. >> has it been busier today? >> of course. more traffic. more cars in the parking lot. >> the total cost at this garage for a day is $40. another choice you need to decide on early. also grabbing an indigo bike, they cost 4 bucks every half hour but do disappear fast. now to a developing story in china. rescue teams say all 33 coal minors trapped in a gas explosion earlier this week have been found dead. two minors survived the monday blast. rescuers working around the clock found no others alive. they recovered all the bodies. chinese officials have ordered an investigation into the blast and vowed to punish those potential. and new details about the final moments of doomed malaysia
