live at independence mall, i'm lauren mayk, nbc 10 news. because of tonight's rally, there are some road closures you need to be whatever. market street is closed from 4th to 7 street. 6th street is blocked up from arch to chestnut street. today both clinton and trump went on a campaign blitz across the battleground states. here say live look at trump speaking right now. actually mayor rudy guiliani, former mayor of new york, is speaking. trump is expected to speak there shortly. this is in scranton, pennsylvania. erin coleman joins us live from new york. erin, the candidates are appealing to voters for the last time. >> reporter: yes, they are. both of them, as you mentioned, in pennsylvania right now. but tomorrow this is where they're going to be. new york city in manhattan. they're both using every possible minute to get those last-minute votes. the candidates swept through a handful of battleground states

today. hillary clinton began in pittsburgh, then rallied supporters in michigan. she'll soon be in philadelphia, finally ending her day in north carolina with a midnight stop. tonight at 7:30, she'll take part in a get out the vote rally, that includes the clintons, the obamas, jon bon jovi and bruce springsteen. she urged people to get out and vote even if it means waiting in long lines. >> vote for your families. vote for your issues. vote for the issues that matter to you, because they're on the ballot, not just my name and my opponent's name. >> reporter: donald trump will stop in five states before the day is over. florida, north carolina, scranton, pennsylvania, new hampshire, and finally michigan. trump touched down in florida at 3:30 a.m., and onstage rallying the faithful just hours later. >> they say we'll get a tremendous amount of credit, win or lose. i said, no, i don't want any

democratic vp candidate tim kaine hit the campaign trail today, stressing that north carolina is a checkmate state, and if clinton wins there, she'll be elected president. he accused donald trump of running a divisive, insult-driven campaign. kaine will finish with two events in his home state of virginia. join us tonight for a live one-hour election special called "campaign countdown." get the breakdown from our political punchout team, tonight from 7:00 to 8:00 right here on nbc 10. another big story we're following, septa is back on track, just in time for election day. workers returned to the job today after almost a week on strike. nbc 10 was there this morning as the gates to one of the many stations was reopened. it came after both sides reached an agreement overnight. nbc 10's cydney long is live from a bus stop in center city. cydney, we know there was a gradual rambliping back up.

north wales, 41. almost in the 30s already. 32 in ft. washington. 44 in new home. we have clear skies, wind dying down tonight, allowing the temperature to drop more. no rain tomorrow. temperatures are going down. it's going to be in the 30s by morning, just about everywhere. and some places, right around the freezing mark. and before the sun comes up, it will feel extra chilly. look what happens by the afternoon. temperatures going up through the 60s. a good bit warmer than it was today. that's just during the afternoon. remember, the sun sets an hour earlier tomorrow. by 5:30, it's already dark. by the time the polls are closing, it's getting chilly again, not as chilly as it will be first thing in the morning. then we wait for the rain. that comes perhaps wednesday, as early as the morning rush. we're not talking about heavy rain or many hours of rain.

start. by later in the morning, it's jumping up into the 50s. in the afternoon, we're well up into the 60s. so it is a beautiful day. it's going to be the warmest day of the week and probably for the next ten days. then we drop 10 degrees on wednesday for the clouds and the rain coming in. we're not expecting it to be real heavy. a chillier day on thursday. but the coldest day in the next ten days is saturday. not only the chill, but the wind. highs only in the 40s. that will be the coldest day so far this season. then some more dry weather until we get to at least the middle of next week. hurricane, thanks. i'm john clark. does eagles coach doug pederson have any regrets on going forward on the fourth down? we'll hear from him today. and malcolm jenkins with his message to the team, next.
