drivers captured the moment the bull ran through philadelphia. it was quite the scene on i-95. it took off from a slaughterhouse and was then spotted near kensington hospital it was finally spotted right here police headquarters. what have you been able to find out about this? >> reporter: we have actually seen a lot of people stopping to look earlier this afternoon, but the bull arrived here, backed into this patch of brush that you see just over my shoulder here and picked up the dead animal. the conservation officer who had to kill the bull walks us through what happened. >> i was just driving up 95 minding my business and saw this. >> reporter: this is what this conservation officer saw, a bull on the side of i-95.

the maanimal jetted off a slaughterhouse truck, over to the kensington highway and then five miles down the highway. you see officer check, an 18-year veteran with the game commission and police, rounding the run away an mall, they say they determined it was an emergency situation before putting the bull down. >> we're in center city philadelphia, we're not in rural pennsylvania where you have a little more time to make decisions and maybe let the critter go and get a hold of it with a rope or something. it's 3:00 in the afternoon in the middle of philadelphia on a business day.

shooting his own son is now charged with attempted murder. officer dorian young turned himself into police today. officer young was off duty at the time. the da says the shooting followed an argue with his son over the use of the family car. >> there's no execute for what happened today, and dorian young will be held responsible for having shot his son. >> young has been a philadelphia police officer since 1991. the police department suspended him for 30 days and plans to fire him. now to the transition to president-elect donald trump. today the soon to be commander in chief met with the newspaper he's criticized for months. he abruptly cancelled the meeting early this morning, accusing the paper of changing the agreed-upon terms of that

meeting. but later on in the day, the president-elect did sit down with the publishers and journalists as well. he said that prosecuting hillary clinton for her e-mails would be, quote, very divisive. and earlier in the day the president-elect announced on twitter that he's seriously considering dr. ben carson as the head of housing and urban development. but just last week, carson's business manager said that he had opted out for any decision. now trump has put the transition planning on hold as he heads to florida for thanksgiving. new fallout in philadelphia following a controversial appointment by president-elect donald trump. this is the scene in center city around 4:00 this afternoon. >> members of the jewish community marching to protest

mentioned that killed christopher leach and jeremy fickes, the engine had to come from two miles away. union leaders say common sense tells you every fire engine around the city should always be staffed and ready to start a fire. >> i can imagine what any resident would feel like, banging on the firehouse doors, and seeing a fire engine just sitting there if something was happening to them just blocks away. >> reporter: the firefighters union and the chief agree on this, to the fire department numbers are down. but a new mayor is coming in, he might elect his own fire chief. it's not clear what the present fire chief is going to do about this rolling by pass situation.
