drivers captured the moment the bull ran through philadelphia. it was quite the scene on i-95. it took off from a slaughterhouse and was then spotted near kensington hospital it was finally spotted right here police headquarters. what have you been able to find out about this? >> reporter: we have actually seen a lot of people stopping to look earlier this afternoon, but the bull arrived here, backed into this patch of brush that you see just over my shoulder here and picked up the dead animal. the conservation officer who had to kill the bull walks us through what happened. >> i was just driving up 95 minding my business and saw this. >> reporter: this is what this conservation officer saw, a bull on the side of i-95.

the maanimal jetted off a slaughterhouse truck, over to the kensington highway and then five miles down the highway. you see officer check, an 18-year veteran with the game commission and police, rounding the run away an mall, they say they determined it was an emergency situation before putting the bull down. >> we're in center city philadelphia, we're not in rural pennsylvania where you have a little more time to make decisions and maybe let the critter go and get a hold of it with a rope or something. it's 3:00 in the afternoon in the middle of philadelphia on a business day.
