it is a dash for deals. shoppers flood the malls. remembering america's mom. fans are mourning the woman best known as mrs. brady. right now at 11:00 a man is dead and another is wounded after gunfire erupts in a local mall. authorities tell us the victims are brothers and police are still searching for the person who shot them. it happened around 1:00 this morning outside of the macy's department store in atlantic

county. it was open until midnight for black friday shoppers. the 20-year-old man was shot several mans and his 26-year-old brother was struck in the leg and is in stable condition. we spoke to to a resident who saw the heavy police presence when he arrived at the mall this morning. he was there to pick up his son's truck that was broken down. >> i came to pib up the truck and it was part of the protected area. the police said awould have to come back later. >> they were able to get it out after the scene had cleared. police continue to try to solve this deadly shooting. they released a statement extending thoughts and prayers and their families. we'll continue to keep you posted on this story. the black friday shopping rush is well underway. this is a look at the cold store

where plenty of people are scoping out those deals. we'll be catching out the malls out throughout the region. right now we check in with pamela osborne. you have been there since early morning hours. how do the crowds look right now? >> reporter: i'll tell you what, it has picked up quite a bit in the past hour. we'll gef you a better look at customers who check out what is new at the mall. they are expecting to see more than a half million customers. it started before the sun came up. >> this is probably our fifth stop. >> we met april where the black friday deals were good enough for tim to cross more than a couple of items off of her nephew's christmas list. >> each is 14 pages lodge. >> mall closed at 2:00.

we went to macy's and fell asleep in the car. >> she was awake in time to snag more deals when the mall opened at 6:00 a.m. more than 137 million americans are expected to shop this thanksgiving weekend. by late morning shoppers were out in full force here. zwl we are looking for bargains. a lot of stores have 30 to 50% off specials today, gifts with purchase. >> reporter: and i mentioned that expansion a little bit ago. there is a new tool to help you navigate your way around the mall. it is going to save you some time as you cross people off of your list. wem show you how it works at 11:30. nbc 10 news. >> thanks for that. in south jersey they will begin the traditional candle light shopping.

there will be horse drawn carriage rides. they will welcome santa. if you're too tired to head out you can join the crowds tomorrow for small business saturday. many businesses in our area will be participating in the nationwide event. helping holiday shoppers are free saturday parking. there will be none on saturday starting tomorrow through new year's day. shoppers can also park at certain lots for a flat rate of $8 on saturday and sunday. after small business saturday comes cyber monday. some stores are already offering cyber monday discounts. online shopping continues to grow. last year in-store holiday sales were down about 12%. a little bit later today a cyber crime expert will have advice on how to stay safe. you can get tips on identify thecht and more this afternoon

kuzen's hand and chest. they have crime scene tape out front. police tell us they did recover the gun at the scene. it could have been a thanksgiving disasters, when neighbors found themselves without any running water. quick thinking fire fight ergs saved the day. a water main break nearly -- the fire department decided to step in. they handed out buckets of water. >> we are thankful enough we have these guys in town and doing what they can to help us out. >> crews were able to repair the main last night. there is still an advisory to boil water. dylan roof is accused of killing nine worshippers in south carolina. a few hours ago a judge declared

in iran officials say 31 people are dead after a train collision in the northern part of the country. a passenger train slammed into another. 80 people went to the hospital. most of them suffered only minor injuries. the cause of this crash is now under investigation. >> in israel wild fires are threat ning more homes as leaders blame arsonists. the fire intensified yesterday. they have been fuelled by unseasonably dry weather and strong winds. hundreds of homes have been damaged or destroyed but so far no deaths or serious injuries have been reported. retailers in japan launched black friday sales.

>> the early morning gunfire in south jersey left one man dead and another wounded. the two victims were brothers. authorities are still searching for the person who shot them. sidney long is live at the hamilton mall. any witnesses to this crime? >> reporter: that is the question along with any potential motive, how busy was this mall parking lot at 105 this morning? i want you to take a look at the parking lot area labeled s. th this is where the gunfire erupted and also not more than 30 footsteps from the front door of macy's. here is what we do know. at least one 911 call alerted authorities to the scene. the shooting littered the macy's lot with more than a a dozen

casings. they found a 20-year-old suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. he died within minutes. his 26-year-old brother is in stable condition. this morning we talked to a father. he saw all of the police and detectives cars when he arrived at the mall to pick up his son's truck which had broken down. >> it is crazy what goes on some places. generally there hasn't been a lot here. we have crime. everybody has some sort of crime. >> reporter: the mall, including macy's is open until midnight last night. you can see shoppers headed back starting at 6:00 this morning. we just spoke to shoppers who came back today. they are feeling upset that someone lost their life hours after thanksgiving last night. they do tell us they notice security has been stepped up inside. we are also asking detectives

landing, nbc 10 news. >> thanks. certainly plenty to do on the waterfront. let's take a look over the philadelphia museum of art. cloudy skies out there. the sun is expected to return this weekend. that's not all that will return. krystal klei is here to fill us in. >> yeah. we are looking at changes over the next couple of days. today we have a cloudy shot outside. you can see it is a very gray frach forecast. got cloudy conditions. got potential for spotty showers out there. most of us have been dry throughout the day today. radar and satellite shows us to the north at this point. as we move along we are going to see potential for rain. it won't be coming from the north of us. it will be coming from the south. many of us will have a better chance late day of some of those spotty showers moving through. temperatures at 50 degrees in

philadelphia and 47 for lancaster and redding. 50 atlantic city and millville holding onto the upper 40s at this point. all of us should make our way into the low to mid-50s. a couple of spots along the shore may make it to upper 50s for forecast high temperatures. philadelphia right now was at 50. as we move along 1:00 it is 55. it's not going to be the case for much longer. we'll take a look at how high they go for your saturday and sunday forecast and the rest of the details on your weekend coming up in a few minutes. not even the thanksgiving holiday stopped more than 100 protesters against the dakota access pipeline. at one point law enforcement officers called out protesters who were wearing masks and vests. they questioned if they would

remain peaceful. two people were arrested after refusing to leave the area. these flames are from an oil refinery fire. the fire burned for hours. officials told people to stay inside until they gave them the all clear last night. a firefighter had to go to the hospital but suffered only minor injuries. today investigators will be looking for the dacause of this fire. if toys are on your shopping list this black friday you may notice new twists on old favorites. hot wheels rolling out racers. the technology allows cars to stay on track and really zoom. we describe other classics that have been updated this year. >> play-dough is updating it by

program. she was a very important figure for at least 20 years. and so from that our past season we did 15 presentations within schools and the library programs as well as the community libraries throughout the montgomery county and philadelphia area. it was a huge success. we are looking to expand that programming. quickly we are also partnered which then created a new opportunity. we have done a great number of things to create new works. >> great work you guys are doing. you're a non-profit. head out to the show tomorrow night. songs of color will take place
