cold right now, just wait until the weekend. nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen joins us now. sheena, we could miss warm weather forever. >> take the thicker winter coat out, the gloves out, tachbd hat, you're going to want it all tomorrow. temperatures are dropping off pretty quickly. allentown is down to 31 degrees, wilmington 41, and vineland has already gotten down to 37 as well as coatesville. it's also going to get windy, making it feel colder. that is the arctic air that we have been telling you about for over a week now and it's finally going to get here as you wake up in the morning. wind direction is helping to usher it in. it's mostly that west/northwest wind and tomorrow we'll have the same wind direction helping to pull the cold in and it's going to be windier and that always makes it feel colder.

like the lehigh valley, the poconos, pennsylvania suburbs could see some snowflakes too. right now wins are 10 to 15 miles an hour sustained. so it is making it feel like the 30s across the area, but the arctic air will continue to set in overnight torrent. here's friday, it makes its way into the area more, and then its around saturday, it's even around for sunday. so the entire weekend is going to be cold. we expect highs only in upper 3n you factor in the wind, it's going to feel colder. temperatures could be feeling anywhere from about 15 to 18 degrees across the area by 7:00 a.m. there are some models that are suggesting that it could even fie feel colder than this. temperature also start to feel just a little bit warmer, we're talking about the 20s, so yes it's going to be cold all day

many of our suburbs in pennsylvania and the lehigh valley have already dropped into the upper 30s. 37 degrees through many of our south jersey neighbors. rittenhouse 42 degrees right now, if you're at fox chase, you're at 41. summerton has already dropped to 39 degrees. but those numbers will be even lower tomorrow morning. they'll be dropping as we go overnight tonight. take a look north and west of us. with the strong northwest wind tomorrow, some of these lake-effect snow showers could blow into parts of those areas. the poconos, lehigh valley, you'll have a better chance than the rest of the area. this is the cold air we're talking about, it dropped down from canada and it's moving into the area and it will be here through tomorrow and through the weekend too. there's the arctic air mass, now you can see it a little better, and it will be moving into our area for friday, saturday and even sunday, finally moving back

a little bit on monday, but take a look at next week, it drops back down into our area by about wednesday and thursday. and then look at how much more of that keeps spilling down next week. and so next weekend, we're talking about more cold coming in. and that just shows you that the cold weather pattern has begun, and it could be sticking around for a little while. temperatures for tomorrow. high temperatures, 39, if you're in fair mount, 39 chestnut hill. keep in mind, with the wind, it's going to feel a lot colder. swanksville 39 degrees. could see lake-effect snow shower through the lehigh valley, easton and allentown possibly. right around 37 for a high temperature. robbinsvil villville 45 degrees harbor city 47. here's future weather, we stay dry for tonight, tomorrow, blustery, and you see the

lake-effect snow showers trying to make their way in. then we go into saturday, we're going to be dry on saturday, but it's going to be cold, highs still in the upper 30s. next weather system approaches on sunday, i think most of this will be here sunday night and we could see that in the form of some rain and snow to start off, and it could be rain as we go into monday. here's your weekend forecast for saturday, upper 30s and dry. sunday we'll see rain-snow mix, starting to move into parts of the area as we go later into the day sunday, overnight and possibly lingering into monday. at that point it would be changing over to rain through the day. monday temperatures will be right around 47 degrees after a cold weekend. and then we'll be looking at our next shot of cold air again. we could see another weather system approaching wednesday and thursday, that could give us of rain and snow, but temperatures once again will be dropping. right now to breaking news, sky force 10 over the scene in delaware county. you can see crews are looking at a crash involving a u.s. postal
