cold right now, just wait until the weekend. nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen joins us now. sheena, we could miss warm weather forever. >> take the thicker winter coat out, the gloves out, tachbd hat, you're going to want it all tomorrow. temperatures are dropping off pretty quickly. allentown is down to 31 degrees, wilmington 41, and vineland has already gotten down to 37 as well as coatesville. it's also going to get windy, making it feel colder. that is the arctic air that we have been telling you about for over a week now and it's finally going to get here as you wake up in the morning. wind direction is helping to usher it in. it's mostly that west/northwest wind and tomorrow we'll have the same wind direction helping to pull the cold in and it's going to be windier and that always makes it feel colder.

interesting life. >> he was the third man to leaf to orbit it. the soviet unit had put a man into object in 1961. glenn served in the senate for 24 years and ran for president in 1984 and then at the age of 77, he became the oldest person ever to make the trip to the moon. glenn also flew 145 combat missions during world war ii and the korean war and he received the congressional gold medal at 2011. glenn was being treated at ohio state university the time of his death. he experienced a number of health problems in recent years, including a stroke two years ago after undergoing heart valve replacement surgery. now to a controversy involving the south jersey native who success ran donald

people, including former presidents, vice presidents, supreme court justices and members of congress. president-elect trump and vice president-elect pence will bring their thank you tour to the ke stone state next week. a week from today they will hold a rally. a candle light vigil honoring williams will be held at the leesberg -- funeral arrangements for trooper williams will be announced tomorrow. williams died when an erratic driver jumped the median and hit his cruiser head on. the law is meant to crack down on predatory towing in the city. but some of the city's biggest

clear skies also help the temperatures to drop. right now we're at 43 degrees in philadelphia. by 7:00 p.m., dropping to 39 by 10:00 p.m., dropping to 35. and it's going to be breezy still too. so the feels like temperature when you factor in the wind at 10:00 p.m., it's already going to be feeling like the mid 20s, you can bet it will feel even colder when you walk outside tomorrow morning. so the rest of the area, 38 degrees in allentown, 40 in trenton, if you're in vooiinela you've dropped into to 37 now. take a look at what's coming our way, it's just back off to our west, right on our doorstep. this is the arctic air, this is the drop down from canada. the dakotas are seeing single digit temperatures. and then you notice some lake-effect snow up to our northwest. we could see some of those lake

hat are not a bad idea either. >> nbc10 first alert meteorologist sheena parveen join us now, it's just a matter of time sheena. >> when the sun starts going down, the temperature s tend to drop quickly. 37 in coatesville, but we will be much colder than this as you wake up tomorrow morning. it's 43 in philadelphia, 41 in trenton. that arctic air is just on our doorstep. so you see all this cold airway up to our northwest and lake-effect snow showers up into parts of new york. tomorrow it's going to be a windy day. there's a chance that some of those lake-effect snow showers could get blown into the area because of how strong the winds will be. we don't expect ice issues across the area, but with the winds, you can expect to feel colder and areas north and west

like the lehigh valley, the poconos, pennsylvania suburbs could see some snowflakes too. right now wins are 10 to 15 miles an hour sustained. so it is making it feel like the 30s across the area, but the arctic air will continue to set in overnight torrent. here's friday, it makes its way into the area more, and then its around saturday, it's even around for sunday. so the entire weekend is going to be cold. we expect highs only in upper 3n you factor in the wind, it's going to feel colder. temperatures could be feeling anywhere from about 15 to 18 degrees across the area by 7:00 a.m. there are some models that are suggesting that it could even fie feel colder than this. temperature also start to feel just a little bit warmer, we're talking about the 20s, so yes it's going to be cold all day

williams died when a car crossed the median and hit his cruiser head on along route 55 on monday night. the biopharmaceutical company astrazeneca announced it will cut 120 jobs in delaware. the company is eliminating 700 jobs nationwide. the company says this is the result of lower u.s. revenues expected next year. and the philadelphia city council is cracking down on predatory tow truck companies. under a new law passed today, the law enforcement agency would have to issue tickets before any car is towed. it comes after mounting complaints came into city hall about cars being illy towed. tow truck drivers lined city hall in protest today. they say the actions of a few should not force regulations for

for the second stay in a row. a market rally after the election of president-elect trump is continuing. the dow jones briefly rose more than 100 points today before it closed up by 65 points. it's prompting many people to ask, why exactly is the market going up? >> and for that, financial expert rob wilson joins us live. rob, thank you for joining us. first off, tell us what's causing this? >> let's just say that it looks like all the stars have aligned for the stock market. first of all, we know who's going to be the president. but we also know that the president has his party in control of the house and the senate. that makes it much more likely that the things he wants to do are going to get done. me wants to spend more on roads and bridges, he wants to lower taxes, those are things that the stock market absolutely loves. but we also have the fact that we're at the end of the year and when things start going well like this, no one wants to sell

many of our suburbs in pennsylvania and the lehigh valley have already dropped into the upper 30s. 37 degrees through many of our south jersey neighbors. rittenhouse 42 degrees right now, if you're at fox chase, you're at 41. summerton has already dropped to 39 degrees. but those numbers will be even lower tomorrow morning. they'll be dropping as we go overnight tonight. take a look north and west of us. with the strong northwest wind tomorrow, some of these lake-effect snow showers could blow into parts of those areas. the poconos, lehigh valley, you'll have a better chance than the rest of the area. this is the cold air we're talking about, it dropped down from canada and it's moving into the area and it will be here through tomorrow and through the weekend too. there's the arctic air mass, now you can see it a little better, and it will be moving into our area for friday, saturday and even sunday, finally moving back

a little bit on monday, but take a look at next week, it drops back down into our area by about wednesday and thursday. and then look at how much more of that keeps spilling down next week. and so next weekend, we're talking about more cold coming in. and that just shows you that the cold weather pattern has begun, and it could be sticking around for a little while. temperatures for tomorrow. high temperatures, 39, if you're in fair mount, 39 chestnut hill. keep in mind, with the wind, it's going to feel a lot colder. swanksville 39 degrees. could see lake-effect snow shower through the lehigh valley, easton and allentown possibly. right around 37 for a high temperature. robbinsvil villville 45 degrees harbor city 47. here's future weather, we stay dry for tonight, tomorrow, blustery, and you see the

lake-effect snow showers trying to make their way in. then we go into saturday, we're going to be dry on saturday, but it's going to be cold, highs still in the upper 30s. next weather system approaches on sunday, i think most of this will be here sunday night and we could see that in the form of some rain and snow to start off, and it could be rain as we go into monday. here's your weekend forecast for saturday, upper 30s and dry. sunday we'll see rain-snow mix, starting to move into parts of the area as we go later into the day sunday, overnight and possibly lingering into monday. at that point it would be changing over to rain through the day. monday temperatures will be right around 47 degrees after a cold weekend. and then we'll be looking at our next shot of cold air again. we could see another weather system approaching wednesday and thursday, that could give us of rain and snow, but temperatures once again will be dropping. right now to breaking news, sky force 10 over the scene in delaware county. you can see crews are looking at a crash involving a u.s. postal
