moin we have issued a first alert for part of our region for this weekend. becausew as we deal with these blow-freezing temperatures. >> they're making snow in the poconos. you've been telling us that real snow could be in the lehigh valley on sunday. >> that's right. we're watching next weather system bringing snow to part of the region later the day on sunday. here are your temperatures right now, 32, philadelphia. 29, wilmington. the poconos, right in the teens. those are actual temperatures. when you factor in the wind that we still have around it still feels like the 20s. feels like 18 degrees already in allentown. coatesville. we also have some snow flurries in parts of

upper montgomery as well and chester county, all from the strong winds, lake-effect snow showers that blew in from the lakes. temperatures in the middle to upper teens. cold start to your sunday. late in the weekend, a first alert out, for the suburbs, rain and snow. lasting through monday morning. heads-up about this no wle area north and west of philadelphia. what we expected at the start is accumulating snow then changing to a wintry mix and then rain.s the day sunday. coming we'll show you the update. a peeping tom caught near the campus of even thele. people say he snapped a photo of a female student outside her bedroom. that victim spoke to nbc 10's

brandon hudson about how the suspect climbed on to her balcony to invade her property. >> reporter: this man has put one temple student's life on edge. >> i got out of the shower to get changed and i saw a flash through my window. >> reporter: the 20-year-old woman didn't want to show her face but shared her story, she spotted a peeping tom outside her room sunday night. her boyfriend tried to chase the y away. >> i don't know who he is. i think it's just a fascination with girls in general. >> reporter: she said her peeping tom was able to get through this gate. since this incident we found out a leasing office has put in a new lock as a security measure. this happened off-campus, that's why the philly police are on the

case. we checked out how similar crimes happened on or near campuses. only one harassment-type crime was reported off-campus last year compared to the 18 on campus. another student said she felt safe. police said the suspect appears to be 20 years old, 6'2" with long brown hair and 170 pounds. >> i do believe it's a student who's doing this. i'm sure there will be consequences for him. >> reporter: at temple university, i'm brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. new tonight, we're hearing the chilling confession from the man charged with gunning down nine people inside a charleston church. the video was played for jurors today as they decided the fate of dylann roof. >> i killed, i guess, i don't

presidential candidate jill stein appeared in federal court in philadelphia to argue for that recount. in addition to a recount request, stein and her attorneys also asked for a statewide examination of the software used to count the votes. >> recounts to insure we can be confident in our vote and we are having, you know, great difficulties. >> president-elect trump said there's no concrete evidence supporti ining stein's claims. president obama has ordered a few report on election hacking. to intervene in the 2016 election. an intelligence official tells nbc news the president may make some of the information public.

an anti-fascist group is planning to protest kellyanne conway's appearance at a south jersey parade. conway is not only the grand marshal for the parade but she's also getting a key to the city. new at 11:00, deadly police shooting in the lehigh valley. it happened when police were responding to a potential suicide attempt on apple blossom road. the northampton district attorney said the man who was armed with the gun would not follow police commands. state police are investigating. some holiday displays in south jersey are darker. >> vandals and thieves led a trail. a look at what happened and why it's changing how some people show off their holiday spirit.

>> reporter: police say thieves went after more than a dozen displays, taking off with inflatables, projections and cutting into christmas lights wires ryan miller only has a wreath and a little tree left after a lot of time and money went into a bigger display mostly for his 2-year-old daughter. >> i for her to see the displays. >> reporter: but someone returned it. >> three spots three nights. >> reporter: you can see where miller tried to make a repair the first time, but no fixing the final cut. >> i said have it. they defeated me. >> reporter: since last week, the township has reported a little more incidents. >> somebody came down and damaged some of the snowmen last year. >> reporter: but this christmas he couldn't be stopped.

pocono feels like 19. it's cold outside. colder tomorrow morning. take a look at the radar, though, we have line of some lake-effect snow showers that have blown into the area so when the winds come across the great lakes it's the strongest we have seen them today. they tend to blow in some of these snow showers. charleston, we have been getting some reports of flurries across the area. that's one thing that we'll keep in the forecast today. wetter chance for snow will come late sunday. temperatures now going into saturday morning, take a look at this feeling like the teens. it will be a good one when you wake up tomorrow morning and then through saturday afternoon we're talking about highs in the 30s, upper 30s but feeling more like the 20s. another cold day saturday. the approach of our next weather

system. for the lehigh valley, philadelphia suburbs, that's going to start sunday amp and sunday night and last through monday morning. not everyone is part of the first alert. what we expect for these areas around the first alert is accumulating snowfall changing to a wintry mix, especially for the pennsylvania suburbs changing over to rain for sunday morning. here's a look at future radar now, actual temperatures, actual numbers by sunday afternoon we're looking at, 30s for most of the area. by thursday, berks county, lehigh valley, poconos, snow hanging around for sunday night. we'll have to watch to see how much of the area gets covered by it. wintry mix through parts of the lehigh valley. poconos still seeing snow

falling. we expect just rain. by monday morning's commute will be warm enough to keep that rain around. before we see a change over to the wintry mix or even rain we expect maybe 1 to 3 inches in the lehigh valley. we'll be watching that closely. sunday for the eagles game, we'll be staying dry. cloudy skies by the end of the game, 35 degrees. if you're driving home and you're farther knot and west you could run into snow showers do develop. saturday, upper 30s and dry. sunday. monday we're looking at that change over to rain. up next, a twist in a project to renovate jeweller row.
