foot. he is facing two counts of atestimonied murder along with other charges. officials say the officer's injuries are non-life threatening. they are receiving treatment at a local hospital. this morning arc bomb scare set off an investigation for one lufthansa flight from houston, texas, to frankfort, germany it had to stop at new york's jfk airport after a bomb was thrown into lufthansa's office. people had to be evacuated from that flight. this as the spokesperson says the plane was taken to a remote area, where it was searched. however, nothing suspicious was found on the plane. new orleans is mourning a former star while family friend and former coaches said their final good gooi byes. he was shot in a road rage incident in tarrytown, indiana t. other driver was charged with manslaughter in connection to

mcknight's death. a giant sink hole closed a popular california beach. a dangerous sink hole cut off the access to the pacifica beach south of san francisco. now, it may have been caused by an occurrence called king tide. forecasters say king tide may peak today or wednesday. a new winter storm is getting ready to bear down on multiple states t. icy conditions are also causing havoc on the road where a series of pileups in flint, michigan, have left over a dozen people injured. this season already very different from last year. in december, 2015, the amount of snow was min pal. this year, a near whiteout. it's also much colder. new york has had three days with below average temperatures. so far, this december alone. minneapolis six, chicago seven, next up, a plunge into the deep freezer for 28 million

hope you're feeling better, my friend. >> i'm getting there. doesn't hurt that it's dry this morning. a little chilly outside. temperatures are hovering around freezing, a couple degrees above in philadelphia 35 degrees, 33 in the suburbs and in new jersey, but look at the lehigh valley, just below freezing at 30 degrees. and that will likely get a bit colder before we start climbing. upper 30s as of 10:00. but look at the clouds on the increase. those clouds will be in and out during the day today. should be dry during the day for philadelphia, 43 degrees this afternoon. the low 40s for the suburbs and lehigh valley and delaware into the very low 40s. and new jersey with partly sunny skies, 43 degrees, even at the shore. there is a chance of an evening shower at the shore and also a possibility of a few scattered evening snow showers. i'll break that down and show you where to expect those in ten minutes. first, jessica boyington watching your first alert traffic. >> thanks, bill. on the schuylkill expressway construction is taking out a lot of lanes around montgomery drive.

this is where our camera's focused. you can see the crane on the eastbound side. one lane should be getting by there, but it looks like for right now they've temporarily stopped that traffic. that's some of the backup right there. but eastbound into center city should be one lane open. earlier it was right here. that was one car pretty much moving by at a time. moving towards center city, right now they have all traffic temporarily stopped. looks like it goes the same for the westbound side in which there is only one lane getting by headed westbound as well. so, right now traffic is at a halt there. that's going to cause big problems. out in brooklawn, emergency construction, route 130 northbound, right lane is closed for emergency construction. and the vine street expressway is closed both directions between broad street and the schuylkill expressway, so we'll see delays there and even leading up to the schuylkill because of that other construction as well. more updates when i come back in about ten. vai and tracy, back to you. >> see you then, jessica, thank you. it is 4:30. this morning, damage as far as the eye can
