store, tied up an employee and customer and stole $10,000 of merchandise with another robber. our camera saw police inside, the designer consignment, on the 4300 block of a busy main street in manayunk. investigators were looking for evidence and talking to witnesses. moments after the man wearing dark clothes and glasses walked inside the store, he pointed a silver gun at a 32-year-old employee. he zip tide her and a 65-year-old. and put them in a dressing room. the suspect turned the lights off and two other people came in, they stole coats, jackets, boots, purse, and 200 cash. >> traumatic for the woman and the male to be bound by the wrists and ankles with a gun. fortunately, no injuries to either of them, but both good

witnesses and there are cameras inside and outside. >> this say largely busy area of manayunk, especially at the time of the robbery, 6:00. according to a philadelphia police crime report website, there have been three thefts here on main street since january 10th. either happened in the 4200 block or 4300 block of main street. reporting live in manayunk, brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. >> we're less than two days away from president-elect trump's inauguration. tonight we have new video of the preparations of the nation's capital. crews are setting up outside the lincoln memorial. they will hold their welcome rally tomorrow afternoon. nbc 10 has philadelphia's largest team of journalists in d.c. for the inauguration. lauren make is on capitol hill. >> reporter: here outside the capitol we see things taking shape for the inauguration. and people from our area preparing to take their place to see it in person. in the preinauguration bustle in

washington, d.c., john norwood made the trip in from collegeville, to pick up something important. >> tickets for the inauguration from senator casey. >> he got five for the family. why did you want to bring the whole family? >> we would have gone for anybody. just that, you know, big event, historic. >> when donald trump is sworn in as the 45th president, these students will also be there. >> discussing what we can expect from the new administration. >> they signed up before the election and didn't vote for donald trump. did you think you would be coming here to visit hillary clinton in. >> yes. >> their professor tells me the students are learning to interact with people who have different opinions. >> we talk ed about sort of strategies for how to interact with people if things are getting heated. >> they're not sure what to expect on friday.

but history and the crowd is a pretty good bet for everyone. on the stage outside the capitol, the dignitaries will be seated. here on the mall and through much of the ticketed area, you'll be standing. one more thing to prepare for. in washington, d.c., i'm lauren make, nbc 10 news. dozens of police officers from the jersey shore will be part of the inauguration, in d.c. providing security. many expect to be stationed along the parade route. the u.s. marshals will train them tomorrow and swear them in as deputies. great story now, a great grandfather in salem county plans to witness history again in washington. his name is b. harold jr., he hasn't missed a presidential inauguration since franklin delano roosevelt in 1941. this will be his 18th inauguration. we're talking about this, a number of lawmakers from our area plan to boycott it. republican congressman patrick mead from pennsylvania will be

barbara are both in a texas hospital. doctors say that mr. bush had a setback today and was moved to the intensive care unit of the hospital in houston. he was admitted saturday after showing symptoms of pneumonia. mrs. bush was admitted today as a precaution for fatigue. the 92-year-old former president is also battling parkinson's disease. former delaware governor has died. in the most recognizable part of his legacy, buxen was a founder of the racing complex. buxen spent 18 days as acting governor. his family says he was a world war ii veteran and family court judge. buckson was 96 years old. new at 11:00, pennsylvania senator bob casey isn't wasting his time or keeping his votes when it comes to president-elect trump's cabinet nominees a secret. tonight the democratic senator plans to vote no on three top

nominees, the people you see on your screen. betsy devos, jeff sessions for attorney general, and scott pruett for administrator of the environmental protection agency. he said he made his decision after deliberations, hearings and review of available paper work. justice has been served. that is what president obama said about the decision to give chelsea manning a presidential pardon. the president defended his decision during his final news conference as commander in chief. republicans said it sets a dangerous precedent for national security. chelsea manning leaked tens of thousands of documents to wikileaks and received a 35 year prison sentence she only served seven. >> chelsea manning has served a tough prison sentence. >> the 29-year-old former intelligence analyst born bradley manning will be released on may 17th. on the rails, we're getting a look at repair work happening

to a number of patco train cars. the cars' motors short circuited after a snowstorm earlier this month. riders are dealing with long rush hour commutes as crews worked around the clock to fix the issue. patco says it could take a few weeks. we also have this report right now. new at 11:00, bucks county fugitive on the run for six years, finally been caught in peru. he flew to south america after he was charged in the deadly crash. agents arrested him earlier this month in lima. he's accused of crashing into a car in middletown township in 2010. he's expected to be brought back to bucks county to face charges. also new at 11:00, a funeral director will go to prison for three months for storing corpses in her north philadelphia garage. a judge also banned janet powell daly for ever working for a mortuary business again. she was operating for more than three years with that expired

a bus ride home that students and this driver in florida will never forget. check out the dash cam video from inside. it shows what happened when a truck slammed into the bus yesterday. you see the impact, the drivers went flying into another seat. the young woman at the center of an 18-year-old kidnapping case that captivated the country is breaking her silence tonight. kamia disappeared in 1998 hours after she was born. she was found alive 18 years later. the kidnapper raised her as her own. in an interview today, she said her kidnapper made one mistake that everything that came out of it wasn't all bad. >> it was like a regular stereotype mother/daughter relationship.

this way. just in time for the afternoon rush. so it will get pretty wet friday afternoon that moves out friday night, setting us up for pretty nice weather on saturday. but for the inauguration, itself, it is raining. it is raining before it. it is raining during. it is raining a little bit after it leaves the temperatures are on the milder side compared to this time of the year. look at our temperatures during the day tomorrow. in the 50s, 54, shanksville, 52, easton, nearly 50 degrees. 54 in voorhees town hadship ast. weekend, the rain friday is in the afternoon. saturday looks dry and quite mild. sunday, especially the afternoon at night, that's when the heavier rain starts coming in.
