a double shooting involving a teenager turns deadly in eastwick. we're live. >> even more breaking news. fire crews are battling a fire that has as many as three row homes burning in wilmington. >> plus a return to winter for the weekend, and some people are loving it, but warming weather returns this week. >> let's get right to breaking news. one man is dead and a teenager is hurt after a double shooting. brandon hudson joins us live from the scene in eastwick. brandon. >> reporter: well, denise, police say the driver who was in a white car crashed into a light pole which is about 150 yards from where we're standing over on the left side before stopping a few feet away.

you see the white car on the right side. police say both victims were in that white car when they were shot. the 14-year-old was shot in the face here on 81st street. our video gives you a closer look at that damaged car. philadelphia police say this happened just before 2:30. in addition to the bullet holes, the car suffered significant front end damage. the victim in his 20s died from his gunshot wound. shortly after this happened, we spoke to a woman who lives in this neighborhood. >> it's sad. it's ealey sad. it is sad. it's mortifying. mortifying. >> what is the neighborhood like? >> what is this neighborhood like? >> yes, ma'am. >> it's a forgotten neighborhood. it's a forgotten neighborhood. this was a very viable neighborhood. i was raised in this neighborhood. >> we just got an update from police that the 14-year-old who was shot is in stable condition at children's hospital. police have not found a weapon.

they have not had anyone in custody and they don't have a suspect description. reporting live inneywick, brandon hudson, nbc 10 news. >> we're following more breaking news tonight. crews are battling fires at three row homes in north wilmington. you can see the smoke pouring into the sky. the fire started just before 5:00 on east 22nd street. additional crews have been called in to help fight the flames. so far, no one has been hurt. and now to our weather and the dangerous cold that put one woman in the hospital. a homeless woman suffered from hypothermia, found near 36th and market streets in west philadelphia this morning. temperatures were close to zero overnight, and she was taken to the hospital in critical condition. philadelphia remains under a code blue. we have been dealing with that cold all weekend long, but that's about to change. let's get your first alert forecast with erika martin. how warm are we going to get? >> the good news is we will be above normal for this week. the normal temperature for this

the rink closes for there season at 11:00 tonight. >> in the poconos today, skiers and snowboarders were loving the return to winter for the weekend. lauren mayk hit the slopes where people were taking advantage of the cold. >> reporter: here at camel back mountain resort, it looks and feels like winter today. no skiing in t-shirts. it's hats and gloves. to enjoy the snow on the slopes. sunshine and snow. a welcome combination for skiers making the most of a cold blast this weekend. >> we knew it was going to be cold over the last couple nights. we figured they could make snow. >> and they did. kevin clark and his 9-year-old daughter had skis and coats on, ready to soak up fun on the slopes today after soaking up the sun during the recent spate of warm weather. >> she's playing a lot of basketball and, you know, enjoying the nice weather outside. but we love to ski so we're glad we got a couple more cold days in and hoping for a few more. >> theworthy wasn't the draw for

are gathering to learn more about israel. it comes during a time when jewish institutions are been subject to threats and vandalism. aundrea cline-thomas joins us in cherry hill with more on what will be discussed. andrea. >> this is the 48th year for the middle east institute. while this date has been circled on the calendar for months, the timing could not be more crucial, as jewish institutions are on high alert. 500 to 600 people are expected at temple beth shalom this evening. they'll represent a number of faiths all here to learn more about israel. the jewish community relations council of southern new jersey is putting this together. it comes amidst increase threats and vandalism to jewish institutions, including those here in cherry hill, delaware, and philadelphia. >> why we do these programs, because each and every day, we ned to be vigilant, we need to educate, inform, and what's nice is we have clurgy coming from probably 30 different houses of

a ceremony today to honor those who have given the gift of life. 60 people from our region who either gave or received a life-saving organ donation were celebrated today during a luncheon in king of prussia. the donors and recipients were joined by their family, friends, and medical team who assisted in the preerjss. today's special donation was for tyler. she donated bone marrow, stem cells and most recently, one of her kidneys. >> i feel there's a special bond. i feel like you haven't been hugged like you have been hugged by somebody who you saved their lives. >> for 42 years, the gift of
