call centers. bruce smith joining us live from delaware county. >> this really could have been a matter of life and death if someone needed help. what is the situation there right now? >> reporter: leaders had to activate the emergency operations center. this was after they started noticing there were issues with at&t wireless customers just prior to 7:00. that led to activation later in the night. we want toshow you video where things were calm they were able to take in calls from pretty much everybody except those wireless customers. they set up backup numbers where they were able to reroute people. at&t first alerted people around 9:50 that they were aware of issues to working to resolve the issue at and we co't problems here iserious medical 9:00

>> important information. get ready for a warm day tomorrow. we are looking ahead to snow friday morning. >> nbc 10 chief meteorologist tracking timing. >> may be hard to believe considering what is going on right now. traffic is going just fine right now. by friday morning it is a that the temperatures are closer to 60 go through the night. maybe all snow in these northern suburbs get a little more accumulation. as we head towards the morning rush there is 6:00 a.m. and there is snow in the philadelphia area, parts of new jersey into chester county and tapers off as the morning goes on. we still get more snow showers during the day. nothing close to that tomorrow as temperatures approach the 60 degree mark. as we show you there is snow in

that forecast for friday. there is also snow next week. we will get into that, too, coming up. new at 11:00, a 5-year-old boy is dead after he was hit by a truck. police tell nbc 10 the driver stayed on the scene but people in the neighborhood attacked him so he took off and then called 911. the boy lived in the bell air trailer park. philadelphia police say someone shot a man execution style in north philly tonight. officers found the victim on an abandoned foot bridge. he was shot four times in the back of the head. police tell us they are questioning four people spotted near the scene. a philadelphia police officer forced to shoot a dog after it bit him on the leg. the officer went into the home around 7:00 to backup the department of human services. they were there to take a child out of the home when a german shepherd attacked the officer. a day without a woman.

tonight women across the country and here in philadelphia came together to show their economic strength and political clout. some marched. others stayed home from work and didn't spend money. where does the movement go from here. >> reporter: continuing that momentum was a topic of discussion at the rally which began here at logan square. this large group marched from logan square during the afternoon rush hour. local organizers hope that this rally will lead to getting more women involved in their local organizations. during rush hour this large group of demonstrators made their presence known. predominantly women with a few men marching to show solidarity. the day without a woman rally briefly delayed traffic in parts of center city. it was a localized version of

demonstrators seen globally. elizabeth brought her toddler along for the walk. she is a teacher who says she is passionate about public education. >> at the same time i work so hard and i haven't had a raise in four or five years. >> reporter: better pay is one issue women made signs for. in the most recent report from american association of university women it shows pennsylvania's median average trails delaware, new jersey and united states. >> as long as you have a low paycheck or a lower income bracket then you're not as free as you think you are. >> reporter: other issues included equality in workforce and gender rights. we asked women how do they keep their momentum going? >> it is a road that everybody has to keep paving. we can't get tired. we can't let what is happening in our world wear us down.

russia. huntsman graduated from university of pennsylvania with a degree in international politics. new at 11:00 in south jersey police are investigating a message of hate painted on the side of this home. when nbc 10 arrived the graffiti was partially covered up. neighbors tell us the owner of the home is not living there right now. some customers are in the dark. crews restored power to all but about 1,500 customers. tells us those customers could get power back sometime overnight. today we got a look at the damage left behind. the fire ended up burning for hours. investigators haven't figured out how it started. >> done deal. the sands casino could be changing hands. reporting mgm reports has agreed to$1.3 billion. the paper sources with

check out this video at an airport in ohio. actor comedian grabbed a worker by the neck and threw him to the ground. love has been in several movies including "friday" and "elf." someone was stabbed inside an apartment complex rental office. >> police went to the apartments around 8:00 tonight and when they showed up they found one person stabbed. the victim was rushed to the hospital. no word on their condition and so far no arrests. robbed and shot in the back of the head. that's what police say happened to a man tonight. they say the shooter walked up behind the victim, lifted $100 out of his pocket, shot him three times and ran off. the victim survived but is in critical condition. in delaware another wave of threats forced the evacuation of the jewish community center. today's threat happened right

after it opened. the search turned up nothing. today the jcc association sent a letter to u.s. attorney general jeff sessions expressing frustration with how the threats are being addressed. eight jewish congigations came together to stand against hate. demonstrators packed the steps in westchester tonight. it's a response to the recent antisemitic acts. people told us they want to be part of a solution. >> i think it is really important to teach my own children and set an example for the students i teach to speak up and stand with member s of our community. >> six community centers calling on attorney general sessions to put more resources into investigating the threats. top honors for a new jersey boy whose call to 911 helped save his mom's life. >> he got to meet the man on the

>> big quick changes at this time of the year. and this is going to be one of those cases just like that. you go to bed tomorrow night and feels like spring. friday morning winter is back. temperatures, though, more like spring in the 50s, close to 0i67 in much of the area. so definitely a warm day tomorrow. one more unseasonably warm day and then not only is it cold on friday and the weekend but all the way through next wednesday. that's almost a whole week of winter-like temperatures. we have wet snow and wintry mix on friday. a bigger threat on tuesday for more significant storms. questions remain about the track and the intensity of that. we are dry right now. and you have to go pretty far back to see the moisture that is going to bring that snow for friday morning. minneapolis fairly small system

does not have a lot of potential to produce big snows so roads are warm so likely to melt. if it accumulates on the grassy surfaces like it might do. it is still dark, snowing. upper montgomery, bucks, northern chester. i can see accumulation and in philadelphia area some snow. during the morning rush we see visibilities that might be the biggest problem here. we get snow showers during the rest of the day and rain showers because that march sun is pretty powerful even through the clouds. there we go and it is out of here and then the cold air comes in. not cold tomorrow. not windy either. reddick at 57 degrees. avalon 61. how about how much snow?
