take over the streets of philadelphia. only on 10 tonight attacked from above. new surveillance shows how thieves dropped into a philadelphia jewelry store and pulled off a million dollars heist. good evening. >> we also learned a second store was involved and the thieves used a decoy to trick the owners. >> we have exclusive details. you spoke with the owners tonight. >> reporter: the family is devastated. they could not get through the front entrance. they entered through the roof of the neighboring business to punch through the walls of the jewelry store. it shows thieves tearing down what took the owner years to build. >> our business has been here 17 or 18 years now.

>> reporter: the brother asked we not show his face. he brought only nbc 10 into the jewelry store where surveillance captured men breaking through the sheetrock. the bouncing light is a flashlight on one man's head and another guy cuts the wires to the camera. it shows how the thieves broke through, through a hole they made in a roof next doofrmt. >> i was shocked because that was my friend. they are very friendly. >> reporter: he showed me the phone and cable wires police say the thieves cut in the back of the businesses to set off two false alarms overnight. once inside they kicked in the door that leads to a cement safe that lead to jewelry and jewels inside of it. >> this is actually our life.

it is hard. i hope they catch the guy. >> reporter: this is the second time in as many months thieves have struck this store. they are determined to reopen as early as next week. police are look into similar cases in south jersey. nbc 10 news. police in atlantic city need your help finding a thief who stabbed a store clerk during a robbery they show the thief holding a knife jumping the counter and attacking that clerk. police say this guy robbed two stores, one on friday and one on sunday. anyone with information is asked to call police. tomorrow security changes coming into the u.s. the new rules will ban certain types of electronic devices on board flights from certain ov overseas airports.

the list of devices won't be released until tomorrow. it will likely not apply to any u.s. based airlines. the trump campaign, russia and wiretapping. those three topics dominated. for the first time comey said fbi is investigating if the trump campaign coordinates to win the u.s. election. he debunked wiretapping at trump tower. lauren was the only local reporter for today's hearing. she shows us what comey's testimony could mean going forward. >> reporter: this hearing answered some questions here on capitol hill. it also raised more questions that may not be resolved any time soon. >> there is a big gray cloud you have now put over people who have very important work to do to lead this country. >> reporter: it is how they wrapped up the hearing. james comey at the center of it all revealing an ongoing

neighbors cheering as they rescued that teenager who fell through the ice in central park. they planned to use ladders but the ice dwan to crack. one of the officers ended up pulling him to safety by pulling onto his coat. it follows two teens that fell through sunday at the park and then last month seven rescued from a pond there. stay off the ice. this is important information here. she was forced into the trunk of her own car and made a quick second escape to freedom. watch here as brittany digs jumps out of trunk of this moving car. she says that guy grabbed her at gunpoint outside of her alabama home tuesday. he stuffed her in the trunk
