insight into who the business owners are and what they got in return for helping out the top prosecutor. >> denise? >> reporter: the charges against seth williams center around his connection to a couple of business owners. one in bucks county and the other in philadelphia. and tonight we're learning new details about what agents say he did for them over several years. seth williams appeared in federal court as a first-time defendant. >> seth williams categorically denies, categorically denies that he's guilty of any crime. >> reporter: how he got here can be traced to the gifts he received. but initially failed to report that results in a record ethics fine and possible prison time. let's start in the air. prosecutors say williams accepted a $6300 trip to punta cana. where he and his girlfriend were put up in the royal service presidential suite. according to a 23-count indictment, bucks county

business owner mohommad en ali who sells prepaid telephone cards picked up the tab and wrote him a $7,000 check, bought him a watch and purse, and gifted williams a $3200 custom sofa that he put in the living room of his oak brook home in 2012. what ali got in return was an offer from seth williams to help ali bypass airport security after foreign travel and help ali's friend whose came was being handled by the d.a.'s office. more air travel and prosecutors say more trouble for williams when he allegedly accepted 16 round-trip tickets and lodging to key west, las vegas and san diego from business owner michael wise, the co-owner of the popular bar woody's. the text messages show him arranging a family trip to the san diego and zoo. prosecutors say williams accepted a jaguar convertible and $900 in cash. seth williams' appointed wife as a special advise tore the d.a.

others are dead in the attack outside britain's parliament that sent crowds running for safety. and nbc 10's keith jones is joining us live in the breaking news center tracking up to the minute developments here. >> reporter: that's right, jaqueline. britain's prime minister called it a sick and depraved terrorist attack. the terror played out in two locations in the heart of london. first on westminster bridge and then outside the gates of parliament. investigators say the attacker plowed his car into the pedestrians on the bridge killing two people and then driving off and crashing into a fence outside parliament where he stabbed a police officer before police shot and killed him. the officer also died. the buildings were then locked down. witnesses say it was a chaotic scene. >> i see that one car attached to the wall. and people just started running all over. >> i was coming across the bridge and we heard a bang. and then we saw three people in the road. and then someone called out for help and a couple of us went

running for help. >> police were treating the attack as terrorism. there's no immediate claim of responsibility. live in the breaking news center, keith jones, "nbc 10 news." and experts called these kinds of attacks low-tech. no need for bombs, just a vehicle and a crowd. and we caught up with tourists today visiting philadelphia from the u.k. to get their reaction on the this latest incident. >> so there's nothing sophisticated about it. they bought a car or rented a car or a regular suv, 4 by 4, and anyone can drive, pick up a better speed and drive off the road into a crowd of people if that's what they want to do. >> europe has seen similar attacks like this across the continent, including a low-tech attack last year in france where a truck driver ran over dozens of people. our coverage of the terror in london continues tonight on "nightly news" with lester holt with an update on the investigation, those injured and the reaction from around the world is coming up at 6:30 after this newscast. back here at home, twin

7-month-old babies were found dead inside their south jersey apartment. tonight a lot of questions still unanswered about what happened. the baby's mother called 911 this morning saying the children were unresponsive in their crib here in lindenwold. a source confirms to nbc 10 the baby girls were born three months premature. the source says the infant deaths do not appear to be suspicious or a homicide. >> tearful, like, it just hurt because i have a 1-year-old. so this is very hard to just imagine what she's going through. >> the medical examiner will have to determine just how those babies died. and tonight, new revelations from the head of the house intelligence committee. >> he says there was some level of surveillance of president trump and his inner circle. congressman devon nunes says intelligence reports indicate communication from the president and his transition team were picked up incidentally. nunes said none of the surveillance was related to russia. he also said former president barack obama never wiretapped

mr. trump. the ranking democrat on the intelligence committee is blasting nunes for not sharing the information with the committee before going public. meanwhile, the president's health care bill is set for a vote in the house tomorrow. and right now whether it passes is a numbers game. about a dozen republicans say they will vote no and that includes representative frank lobiando from new jersey. the speaker can delay tomorrow's vote if it looks like it will not pass. and pennsylvania governor tom wolf is pleading with his state's house delegation to defeat the health care bill. the governor sent a letter today arguing that the legislation would create a hole of up to $3 billion in the state's finances. governor wolf also argues the bill would increase insurance costs for older people. and neighbors in burlington county are rallying right now at the office of congressman tom mcarthur. demonstrators calling on the congressman to vote no tomorrow on the gop american affordable health care act. similar protests are happening

across the garden state tonight. and the republican party is calling for an investigation into yesterday's special election in north philadelphia for a pennsylvania house seat. state gop leaders want attorney general john shapiro to look at the claims of election fraud. and election officials tell nbc 10 that a write-in candidate won the race but there were several, including kaecandidates from th democratic and green parties. they won't announce which candidate won until all the write-in ballots are counted. a 12-year-old north town boy who died trying to save his father from a fire will be honored for his bravery. sanford harlington iii ran back into his home to try to save his dad from the fire back in february of last year. the father had already jumped from a window to safety. he will be awarded a national honor for the carnegie hero fund commission. and a south jersey high school evacuated today. five students and two teachers went to the hospital after some sort of chemical smell inside

violent south high school. it is unclear exactly what happened. and tonight traffic in center city all thanks to "the ellen show" taping a segment for tomorrow's show. they want to see philly fans dress as their favorite duo. skyforce 10 is flying over the large crowd where eagles player and magician john dorenbos is out there with the fans. welcome back. should the law treat pitbulls differently than other dogs? >> tonight a proposed bill says pitbulls should face the same laws as chihuahuas, beagles and other breeds. but not everyone agrees. and tim furlong spoke to parents whose daughter was malled by a pitbull. >> they are fighting for laws that directly target the dogs. >> here's a unique perspective on pitbulls, the one in his house ripped his daughter's arm off when she went to let him outside. >> it was the friendlyiest dog. it was lovable and lick you to death. you never thought in a million years it would happen. >> first he bit me on the hip to knock me down. >> reporter: in october 2014 i was there after emily was released after a month in the hospital. in may she'll have her 13th surgery and the recovery process has stalled. and now delaware house bill 13 would take away cities and town

rights to make decisions specifically directed at pitbulls. they do need to be treated differently, emily's mom says. >> some legislation requires mandatory neutering, mandatory micro chipping and insurance. >> reporter: we have covered stories about sweet pitbulls and a hero pitbull to scare away attackers. and the ruckles believe the animal rights group is behind the bill in delaware, but his constituents say don't target the dogs but the owners. >> i have seen pitbulls in action and looked at the owners and can see why their actions are based on what they were. and i have seen loving pitbulls. so i just believe this should not be breed specific. >> reporter: delaware is off the animal welfare to support the end to breed rules. but todd who is a new york city councilman says pitbulls shouldn't be treated differently for those who feel they should

address pitbull problems in the future. tim furlong, "nbc 10 news." >> and the bill was narrowly defeat in the house yesterday, but a couple legislators were absent. there could be another vote as early as tomorrow. we'll keep you posted. and new at 6:00, two teens are being honored by atlantic city council tonight after their fight video went viral. we first brought you the story on monday. the two teens were throwing punches until a stranger came by and intervened. he told the teens they shouldn't be fighting at all and made them shake hands. and just within the past hour, he and those teens were honored by council. well, it is the first week of spring, but at the jersey shore people are already making plans for summer. real estate agents in ocean city say summer rental bookings are up 20% compared to this time last year. they believe our unusually warm weather lured more people to the jersey shore on winter weekends and many made reservations for the summer. but agents also say more owners are using their houses for themselves instead of renting them out. and that caused a slight

decrease in inventory. and the wildwoods are trying to convince you to come there for vacation this summer. today the wildwood's tourism authority launched their be as wild as you want campaign. and we'll take a live look at cape may right now. still an hour left before the sunsets at the beach. just beautiful. it is chilly, it's windy out there tonight. and you're looking live at the wind turbines on top of lincoln financial field in south philadelphia. glenn, cold tomorrow again, but then you're tracking a warm-up in the first-alert neighborhood forecast. a big warm up and a fast warm-up, at least the wind is not going to be as strong tomorrow as it is today. 38 degrees in philadelphia now with a 22-mile-an-hour sustained wind. we've had gusts over 40 miles an hour during the day today. and temperatures are getting close to the freezing mark already in many of the suburbs. and as we head to burkes county, the lehigh valley, we are pretty close to freezing. reading at 34.

philadelphia, 33. allentown, 32. white hall, 32. walnut port, 28 already. nazareth and easton at 30 degrees. you know those places are going way down. clear skies and the wind going later, wow, down to 10 by 10:00. that's the way it's going to feel in doylestown. teens everywhere else pretty much as we go through the night and tomorrow morning. so, yeah, it's going to be feeling a lot colder tomorrow morning than this morning. by tomorrow afternoon, not quite as cold because it won't be as windy. temperatures about 10 degrees below normal, but still without as much wind that will make it more tolerable. we have virtually no clouds in the sky around here now. the next system we're watching is coming through minnesota at the moment. so it's obviously not going to bother anybody tomorrow. by tomorrow night and into friday morning, it's a different story. especially friday morning.

we're watching that little system. this pink area indicates the wintry mix and perhaps a little bit of sleet and snow. maybe even a little bit of freezing rain for at least a brief period. and in the pocanos, parts of the lehigh valley and bucks county on this computer model, we have other computer models that have less precipitation. and then it all warms up and we change to rain quickly as well. so we're not talking about any kind of significant threat. and the only threat for the weekend is the roller coaster going up to 70 on saturday after 56 on friday. i remember we have clouds roll in early in the day and then we clear out. the p.a. suburb, lehigh valley, they get a little bit of sleet or wintry mix first thing. and then by afternoon, getting up into the 40s to near 50 degrees. then the jersey shore could see

dallas green may have been the godfather of the phillies who led them to their first world series in 1980. dallas was a delaware guy through and through. he grew up there, went to the university of delaware, and he started pitching for the phillies in the '60s. he managed them to the world series and was a special adviser. dallas spent 62 years in baseball, 46 of those years with the phillies. i spoke with larry bowa who dallas managed on the 1980 world series team. >> a second father, a mentor, taught me how to play the game the right way. he's what philadelphia is all about. he's tough, he's honest. weapon don't win the world series without him in the 1980s. this is devastating to me. and i share that with a lot of other people, too. >> larry bowa very emotional. the phillies found out about dallas passing away after
