the roads in pretty good shape. there are some showers to the north. also in bucks county. you don't e see any yellows or reds indicating heavier rain like we saw this morning. we don't see lightning indicating thunderstorms. . but bucking ham getting some decent showers just for the nx hour or so. another little batch coming in. and nothing much down from the south. that's where our air is coming tr. so it's mostly dry as we head through the next few hours. a few showers getting into burlington. there we are at 11:00 and things have really cleared out. that's when we're going to be e seeing across the area. we also see some pretty chilly weather. it's only 49 degrees in trenton where it's been cloudy all day and every place has been cloudy.

on monday. he's charged with killing a trooper and wounding another in 2014. he was captured after a 48-day manhunt. a philadelphia father who went looking for his son's robber ended up getting shot in the face. police say the 16-year-old and a friend were robbed a at gunpoint early this morning while ordering takeout. the teen's father later confront ed the thief who shot him in the face and hands and took off. the dad is in critical condition but is expected to pull through. the white house denied reports it tried to block sally yates from testifying about white house ties to russia. >> the news comes as the head of the house intelligence committee cancelled a hearing about russia today. the chairman is is under fire for admitting he met with a a secret can source at the white house to go over intelligence reports. democrats and republicans want him to quit the committee.

or fit the bill in thy. we'll explain at 4:45. a group of local parents is making a push for change. parents unveiled the lat form to the superintendent today. they want to ensure that every student gets a high quality education. among the topics or special education programs and improved transportation to ask from psychological. the group is organized back in 2015. changes could be coming at the lakewood school district. the superintendent says they will be forced to eliminate nearly 120 teaching positions and after psychological programs it no solution is reached to deal with an estimated $15 million deficit. class sizes would also jump to 50 students per clasp. winters is asking for the state to take control of the district if a budget is not made by the may 14th dead line. two primary debates will

the little toddler. delaware is putting $600,000 into a statewide program that hps people fix their homes. the statewide program launched today and helps eligible ho homeowners fix safety issues. the milford housing development had that program. some of the funding will go to manufactured or mobile homes. authorities in maryland say a student had a well-developed plan to attack her high school with a gun and bombs, but her parents stopped her. the father learned about the plan after reading her diary. the 18-year-old who struggled with mental health issues had stockpiled ammunition and the makings of pipe bombs. her lan was to attack the high school next wednesday. people in the the area praised her father. >> that's exactly what he should have done. he was a good dad. >> this was a student who needed

few hours. . you can see the last of the heavy rain that came through around lunchtime. and now drier air is in. but it's not exactly sunny out there. . we still have a little bit of rain. a few showers in salem. headed in the general direction of the shore. nothing too heavy out there. we're not expecting anything heavy during the night as we showed you earlier. and tomorrow, no rain anywhere. temperatures getting up into the 60s. and as we go further to the south, it will be a little bit u warmer. at the jersey shore where the northwest wind, that means the wind will not be coming off the ocean. it will be just about as warm as it will be inland.

rain is is going to be moving in. we have a southeast flow. it isn't going to be warm. friday night, we're still suting in the rain. could even have a few rumbles of thunder. we get to saturday morning. maybe you have plans. maybe there's a an outdoor wedding takes place. early in the morning, this low is crossing philly. e we could see lingering showers. but the good news is if you have outdoor plans, we'll still be cloudy and look a at winds out of the north. cooling us down even further. it looks like the rin will shut down by midday. this low boogies out. somebody could see a few peeks of sunshine. and we get a mix of sun and clouds for sunday. so the bottom line is we're going to have rain, rumbles and sunshine for the weekend. and i call it my glass is one thursday tul because one of the days will be exceptional. . we'll be in the 50s for saturday. the same for the suburbs. all the way across the board. so not very warm.

take a look at this. firefighters had to rescue a boy who was stuck on a cliff in china. there he is. . he fell about 200 feet off a cliff. fortunately, he got caught in the crevice. firefightered tied the boy to a rope. he was very scared but remarkably he wasn't hurt. the tsa is under fire today. >> an upset mom says her son got

an aaggressive patdown. this happened last weekend at the dallas-fort worth airport. she asked agents to youz an alternative screening process because their son suffers from a disorder that can cause anxiety in kids when they are touched. but this patdown lasted two minutes. >> my son felt extremely violated. he left the area and was upset for quite some time. we dealt with questions for several days now asking why that happened and what he did wrong. >> in a statement, the tsa said it allows for the patdown of a teenage passenger and in this case all approved procedures were followed to resolve the situation. >> reporter: it was supposed to be a two-week restoration process, but the storms impacting what crews have been able to do here in the cemetery as far as uprighting these stones that were knock ed down. as you can see, there's still plenty of work to be done. one month after vandals broke sbo the cemetery, too many headstones to count remain toppled over. but the generosity of people outraged by the desecration of the cemetery has brought new life to restoration efforts. >> now we're trying to reset as many stones as we can as fast as we can. >> reporter: the process is slow. . either done by hand or with the help of cranes. this one provided by the mason union. >> some pieces are broken and we have to modify the foundation, otherwise it's going to fall over again. >> in some place thas maximized

small line of some pretty heavy rain here near camden and just south of downtown dover and south of little creek. that will continue into delaware bay and perhaps toward the jersey shore. we'll keep an eye on that. phoenixville, 59. westchester, 61. after low temperatures that aren't that e low. not going to be a real chilly start. a real nice start to the day. up to 64 degrees. 61 degrees and farther to the south, we're about lows in the 40s and high temperatures into the 60s. and thursday is going to be pretty nice too. but not going to stay that way. we have more on the timing.
